Morning All,

Window cleaner's here! lol It is very windy and looks like rain so I'm popping out for a food shop next instead of rock duty in the garden.

Hope you feel a bit better Mandy. I hate it when you have to keep visiting the bathroom and have a jippy tum. So many people seem to have colds too at the moment. I steer well clear in the shops!

You're right David, that's sadly exactly what they did!! Yes Mandy I think that extra 'G' has always been there! we just didn't notice it before!! Anyway, I've now altered it!! Horrid morning here, rainy but not too much wind; at least it's warmer. Planning to paint the outside lobby AND Larder sometime this week! We won't know ourselves!! Dentist this afternoon plus shopping. Millie went out this morning and came straight back in, she hates the rain!!

IF we say sod it and choose to stay here, instead of being are sed about by fickle buyers I think we will get a new combi boiler and bath room fitted.

I'm certain Ellen will get another cat.

Morning you lot,

Misserable day here also, windy rainy and very overcast. Won't be doing the garden again today.

My kindeys have started playing up again, another stone nodoubt. I hated the treatment, when they blast the stone, feels like someone stabbing you with a knife. But better than the other option !!!!

All this spring decorating, The stork isn't around is it. ???? Our young neighbour is expecting at the end of the month, and has got her husband cleaning the greenhouse, shed, patio, windows and guttering. I said she ready to make her "NEST"

Any news your end Anne, It seems we have been waiting forever.

Hope everybodys ills and chills are improving.

I hope that kidney trouble doesn't last long Frank. It wasn't long ago you had the last bout was it?
It 's a funny old day weather wise. But tomorrow looks like it will be a really good one.Just finished sorting out the recycling bins.I think I might Chris to lug them out to the pavement later, they are pretty heavy.I always think it strange how heavy newspapers are.
I think the Scouts used to collect old newpapers .

Congratulations Ann,welcome Florence.

When I was a lad if you took an arnfull of old news papers into the fish and chip shop they GAVE you a generous bag of chips. They used the papers for wrapping.

Up here the average price of a bag of chips is £1.40,scandalous.

Just back from the hospital havinh seen mum and baby. Lucy is an adorable little thing and looks exactly as her sister did when born( they even weighed the same) DIL has had lots of stitches so we think that she will not be home until tomorrow. She is fine just very tired. Son is very proud of all of his ladies. I have told him to work hard as he will have two weddings to pay for and will never be able to get into the bathroom.
Waiting for Hazel to get home from nursery, she is in for quite a suprise.
Thanks for all your congratulations and good wishes.

Maybe you could offer your DIL your cushion Anne lol.I always forget how tiny newborns are, just so delicate.I don't think your son knows what he is in for with all these females lol.He will soon learn !!!!
I hope you are feeling well enough to cope Anne. How long will you be staying?I expect DIL's Mum will be taking over from you.

I just had a call from Dubai from Rachels Brother. He is there for a week with his partner.I am sure it will do Rachel the world of good having her Brother there(it's family)

Oh I have just seen the Elephant that was beaten, moving to her new home at Longleat(sp)?.She is so old .I hope she has a happy time there for the rest of her life.,,,and I hope they find the B***** who treated her so badly.

Congratulations Anne! Good to hear mother and baby are fine. I bet Hazel will be thrilled when she hears the news of her baby sister. Yes your son doesn't know what he's in for yet. lol The chap who fitted my kitchen had daughters and no boys. He said they were always giving him a makeover as a woman to practice on and varnished his nails! lol

Sorry to hear those stones are playing you up Frank. It can't be very nice. Lets hope those pains mean you have passed them.

I did a lamb balti ready for our teatime meal, but OH was starving so we ended up having it at lunchtime and he had second helpings so there was none left to freeze like I had planned.

I decided to pop to a garden centre to look at some Camellias. Jumped in the car, no life, flat battery!! My 81 year old neighbour over the road had rung me yesterday evening to say my lights were still on so that was why it was flat. OH got a flea in his ear as he was moaning about my automatic lights coming on when it was unecessary yesterday and after the second moan I fiddled with them to get them off TO PLEASE HIM !! Mistake.....I obviously must have left sidelights on somehow. That's how I got a bill for new front springs last year, listening to him and driving over a big hump instead of turning around where I was!!! lol He will interfere. Anyway, he got another flea in his ear when he had no idea where he had put the battery charger and even thought he may have taken it down the tip!!!! lol, lol But he did hand me his car keys and said he would have a search while I was out and get another charger tomorrow if he couldn't find it. I shot off to the garden centre as he needed the car for footie tonight but I soon came back empty handed as they only had poor specimens with yellowing leaves for £25!! Have you seen how the price of shrubs has shot up after the bad winter. Anyway, he'd looked everywhere he could think of and had found a mouse in the trap in the loft but that was all. To be honest, it is impossible to look properly in the garage at the moment for all the stuff in there. I decided to have one more go starting my car and pressed the clutch down so the engine would need less power to turn it over and......lucky, lucky it just caught!!!! Of course having started it I daren't just switch it off then without going for a run in it to charge the battery a bit. I nearly shot off in my fur trimmed slippers I was wearing. lol If it had conked out I would have looked well walking home in those!!!!

Mandy ,get those summer tops out for tomorrow.Looks like you might get 21 degrees !! We only get Car Boots on Sundays here.I'm wondering if I can get together enough stuff to do one.The trouble is no-one is willing to come with me to do it.I did one a few years ago,and my friend from Wales came to help me.I thoroughly enjoyed it and made quite a lot of money. What I didn't like were the people who were trying to get stuff as I was taking it out of the Boot.I think they were the dealers.I got a bit cross lol,and got myself in a right Tizzy.I am pretty sure I sold a lot of things to a chap for a lot less than what I would have got had I told him to come back a bit later. It was certainly an experience, and I was exhausted by the time we had to pack away.Everything I was left with I took to a Charity shop.
It just used to be Jumble Sales in the 'old' days or 50/50 sales.

The Bunnies are back ,but not so many. There are a couple of adult ones that I'm wondering if they might have Myxi as they look a bit slow and a bit rough.

Evening all
hurrah!!! Great News about Lucy Florence, Congratulations Anne what are you called granny or Gran or maybe nan. I am Gran but so far Sofia has not called me anything mind you she's only saying a few recognisable words as yet so she may be calling me all sorts and I don't know it yet lol
anyway congratulations to all the family. Oh yes Anne when I had my two girls and could not sit down I found a kids swimming ring was helpful to sit on it gave me some relief.

Had a busy day, was at a funeral this morning then up at daughter no 1 house to look after Sofia while her mum did some housework , Sofia is into everything and climbing every where so daughter can't get things like bathrooms done or hoovering up ,

i came home and dinner was ready in the slow cooker just potatoes to put on , now everyone has gone home and I have been on the computer trying to find my G G grandfather and his family on the 1911 Scottish Census that came out today.I have found a few families but it's going to cost me a fortune, as I have so many ancestors to find.

Yes Jane , summer tops out tomorrow , but for how long !!!
When we did the last car boot we made quite a bit of money , but don't they crowd you when you start getting the boxes out of the car !! one woman came running !! and she did it every time a new car came on the field it was funny watching her .
Now we know to have one unloading and setting out and one keeping watch for people pinching !!! how can anyone pinch things !!the stuff is cheap anyway .
I'd like to go to an antique fair , got lots of things from my parents and grandparents that we could sell ,but don't know what they are worth !! and they are not going on a car boot !!!
I was looking in a box in the cupboard the other day ,and there was a little pot with a lid and it had my grandmothers name on and it said Honiton Art Pottery 1919 ,now that's something i wouldn't sell.
There was a tiny little Pot with the picture of an eye inside ,a rhyme on the outside said ...Keep me clean and serve me well and what i see i'll never tell . lol
