afternoon all
Glad mum & baby are fine & big sister too Anne,

I probably am going to open my big mouth to soon BUT we have had sun all day got my washing dry as it has been windy unfortunately the wind has kept the temp down a bit,

Been shopping with daughter no 1, and Sofia who wants to walk everywhere now and we go round and round all the clothing Isles up and down all the time while her mum looks at the clothes. it takes us much longer to get anywhere than when she's in her buggy. lol

I told you I would speak to soon, clouding over better go and bring in the last of the washing,
got your pics Jane , I am glad my OH hasn't a gun I would not go within a mile of him HELP!!!!!

Anne ,I'm glad all is well with Lucy and Mum .It must be quite exciting for Hazel to have a new baby sister.Did Lucy bring Hazel a pressie.I seem to remember when I had James ,Hannah had a Tiny Tears from him lol

Shirl I have tasted Melon Liqueur .I think my Sister had some.I think it was very nice.
I hope you find a nice Rose Bush.My Aunty Betty used to have a beautiful old fashioned scented rose .It was a deep red and I think it was called 'Peace'.The scent was just amazing.

I did mention the Greenhouse, but the answer I got was he has a telescopic sight or something. It won't be my problem if a pellet goes astray lol

When I was at the Hairdressers just now I was telling Nigel about the rabbits. He told me about a man he knows who asked him for all his waste hair cut from clients.Apparantly if Human hair is put around near where rabbits are coming in.This chap had a whole bin bag full to put around the perimeter of his allotment.Guess what I have come home with ?????? lol
Not a whole bin bag ,but just what we could get off the floor.I think Chris will think I have totally lost the plot.

Frank you have been busy in the garden, flashing that body of yours. If you lived on a busy road I bet you would stop all the traffic !!

I can't believe it is 5 o'clock.Where has today gone?

Been up the border but it is so hot I had to come down for a cuppa. OH has been st the tree root all day and has now come in too.

Chicken crown tonight with wild mushroom and something stuffing. Same as I had a while ago from Wai**ose. A good dinner for two or poss three for 4.99.

Jane Chris will have to build himself a hide so he can sit in it and get closer to the rabbits. Has he set the sites of the gun for himself?? Tell him to find himself a v stick to put in the ground to steady the gun on. I always find it waves about if I just hold it freehand.

Anne good that the family are having some personal time together. We are all just waiting for a picture of little Lucy now!!

Mel he could sit in the Summerhouse and not be seen.Or he might use James bedroom window upstairs as that has a view of the whole of the garden. The thing I worry about is if he was to hit one and not kill it,and it then ran off to die slowly.I can't bare that thought.

It is a lovely evening, but definitely cooler.I think I heard there may be even a little frost in the morning.I may turn the heating on a little in a bit.

Mel I think Chris said he has set the sights. He will be the only one using the gun until James gets home in a week or so .

Better get the oven on for Baked Potatoes.........17.50

Gosh it's lovely outside. We have had a super BBQ which we ate in the sunny garden and we opened a bottle of Barollo to toast the new addition.
I will sort out a photo and post it on. I gather all is well but I do not know if Lucy bought Hazel a present. I think that is a very good idea and will pass it on.
My UTI seems to have settled down thankfully and I am looking forward to a lazy evening catching up with some tele.
Now what am I going to talk about to you all? Life will be normal again with our day to day routine. Hubby goes off to Majorca in just over a week, he's looking for a new car, the garden fence is to be done and the garden remodelled.I have a show coming up at the end of the month, out with friends tomorrow and helping with the coffee morning on Saturday. Normal you say; it is in our house!!
Never a dull moment!!

Anne
Lucy is lovely, Oh she's so tiny and I bet you could eat her up, you will be getting with drawl symptoms when you have had a cuddle then have to hand her back,
I know I did, when my little granddaughter was born in September 2009 Her other gran (nonno) came over from Italy for 6 weeks and stayed with the family so I kept out of the way most of the time, and OH and I would pop up now and again to see them, we gave them space because we knew that the other gran would have to go home to Italy and it would be another 3 months till she saw Sofia again. I didn't want to many people being there giving out to many rights and wrong ways to bring a baby up

Now my daughter's MIL only see's Sofia in June when they go for 2 weeks holiday every year and she came over for Sofia's first birthday last year , they did not make it to Italy last Christmas so it will be 9 months in June when they go over that's the length of time since the family in Italy have seen Sofia. ( They have an elderly parent to look after so it's not easy to get away, no respite or care home's in Italy)

They will see such a big change as now she is chatting in her own little way and can understand when spoken to in Italian & English she will be 19 months tomorrow.

Evening All,

What a lovely sunny day it has been. Thanks for the pic Anne.......a lovely photo of content baby and proud gran. You will be off round the shops now looking at all those cute dresses! I think the pressie idea is good, gets things off on the right foot. Re-modelling the garden? That's what we are doing and its at the 'awful stage' at the moment, the old has gone, but the new isn't all in place yet. Still, I did a few more rock edgings this morning and OH has created a new pile of gravel on an old bit of carpet!! lol We saw a small bumble type bee, all of it a bright ginger colour.

Jane, how disapointing.......Katherine came.........and went!! I wonder why.

Jane how will you sleep in a house with a gun in it!! What if someone broke in and you woke up with them pointing it at you!! I won't even go in the garden when they are shooting rabbits in the field at the back.......stray bullets!! I remember those ricochets in the cowboy films!! lol What will Chris do with any bunnies he shoots? Will they be sent to the kitchen for you to prepare a culinary delight!! lol

When I first lived on my own I started sleeping with a carving knife under my pillow. Then OH said to me 'its all very well you having a knife, but if they get it off you, it's they who will have a knife and not you'. He had a point, didn't he.

That's a lovely idea Shirl. I think the old fashioned cabbage type roses are supposed to have the best scent. I hope you find a good one. I bought a Daphne shrub the other day because of the lovely scent. I'm putting it next to where we sit. Talking of which, sweet peas aren't the same for scent these days are they, unless you get the small flowered ones. Does anyone else remember the cream ones that had a brown edge to all the petals. I haven't seen any packets of those for many years.

Well, I'm off to bed now, OH has already gone saying he can't keep his eyes open. Must be all the fresh air and hard work. Night, night everyone.....sweet dreams xx

What a lovely photo Anne.Little contented Lucy and a proud looking you.

Ann,I think Chris will keep the shot pellets in a different place from the gun.He better do ,otherwise there will be strong words lol.
Hannah has already said not to keep it in the garage.Chris the replied OK I'll keep it by the bed !!!!!.Yeah Right! lolI can think of one place to stick it( i say no more )
Yes very disappointing on the Katherine Grace front. It seems strange that she joined GR and then left.

I am off to bed now .No doubt will be dreaming of guns and bunnies lol
Night Night xx

Jane most guns have a safety lock on them which once loaded has to be taken off before the gun will fire. thats the trouble you line up your shot and when you go to shoot your target you find you have left it on and by the time you have taken it off the bunny has moved away. It has happened to me a couple of times.

Morning Mel .Frank and everyone.
'Cor what a cracking day.I think we have wall to wall blue all day.My back is aching,I think from the jolt it got when I jumped of that wall .
Chester seems to have a tummy ache or something as he has been eating lots of grass. So I will go and get a bit of white fish and cook it up with some rice for him later.
My sister and her OH are off on the Eurostar to Paris today.Paid for partly with Tes** vouchers.I think that is a great idea.

Got those shorts on yet Frank? Make sure you tell Ros how Glam she looks when she comes home.No-one noticed I had mine done yesterday lol
Right I am starving so off for Tea and some toast.
