Hi All Just back from lunch with the girls from work. It was good to catch up with all the news most of which seems to concern illness, must be our ages. The weather is very dull but warmer than yesterday thankfully. Maureen good to know you are feeling a little better today. Jane Sorry about the rats, hope it did not trouble your sleep too much. David, Hope Ellens trip to the dentist was not too traumatic. Hubby is upstairs packing his bag for next week. I have been given my instructions re greenhouse watering etc and only hope it doesn't become too hot. Going now to do some jigsaw!! 3.40

Thanks Anne, haven't blown my nose for at least an hour ....lol. I used to love doing jigsaw puzzles, I would sit for ages and not find anything and just as I was about to stop I would find a piece to fit and sit for another few hours, very relaxing.
Ros has done so well Frank making all those lovely bunnies and now baking cakes, I hope they appreciate all her efforts. You don't 'alf eat well, it's a salad for me .....again .......
I've finally got back to the size I was before I gave up smoking, it's only taken 20 years ....lol

Hello All I have been very strict with myself and have stayed off the pooter .I had lots of things to do. The trip to the vets was a bit hair raising. There was a young Polish man with the biggest dog.I think it was a kind of Mastiff ,and a young one.It was just totally uncontrollable .I think it was just wanting to play but the man could hardly hold on to it.It ended up with the rest of us in the waiting room all taking our dogs around the corner into a corridor and waiting until they had gone lol The chap had only had the dog today and had got it from a friend(who I'm guessing couldn't cope )I think he was going back to the vets this afternoon to get help and advice on caring and training.I'm glad I wasn't going to be in that waiting room this afternoon. It really was a beautiful animal and I hope it is able to be trained properly.
I still have a few bits to do here so will get on. BBL 16.42

Ellen attended the dentist punctually. Was very scared but knew it needed doing. Knocked out with an anesthetic in the arm. She awoke smiling, couldn't remember the extraction,so it was painless.
Took her to bed when I got her home, she slept for five hours. A little bleeding and its sore of course but otherwise OK No hot drinks today in case it makes the bleeding worse.
She done well.

Anne ,no there were no nightmares of rats ,and touch wood I haven't seen any today.I wonder if there may be more when the water board come back to finish doing what they have to do .
I found 2 fleas !!!!!!!!!.This is the first time I have ever known Chester to have them.He has now been sorted ,all bedding washed and sprayed .So hopefully there will be no more.
Are we in for good weather this weekend? I hope so.Just wish we could have some rain in the night.

Hi Everyone,
The girl did well David!! Now that's sorted she will be able to think about moving house. lol
Maureen I think summer colds sometimes seem worse than winter ones. Whether the pollen makes them worse I don't know. Hope it soon goes. You really have done magnificently losing that weight.....I don't know where you found the willpower. I really must get stuck in. OH has got me into bad habits, keeps saying shall we eat out so you won't have to bother with anything at home. My head always says no, but yes comes out of my mouth!! lol I tend to go for carveries and have lots of veg, but a pudding sometimes happens!!
I met up with old workmates and had a good natter today too Anne. It made me appreciate retirement!!
Ros certainly keeps busy Frank. Now cakes! I bet they make quite a bit of money.
I am so mad with my bank!! They have messed up different standing orders 2 years on the trot now!! Last year they also messed up an ISA, by taking payments from it which was against their and HMRC rules and lost me interest all ways. This year they stopped standing orders to a savings account, breaking the rules on that and have lost me interest. When I rang them to ask why they stopped the payments they couldn't tell me as the system wipes everything off once payments are cancelled!! Luckily, I kept notes and when this was set up I said it was to be paid until further notice. I shall be having words on Monday with the lady who sorted it out last year.

What an awful thing Ann. I would think if it is their fault they should pay you the interest anyway.
I turned my pooter off after that upset this morning but still did'nt geet much done.
I have sausage toad mustard mash and spinach for dinner tonight and am just about to put it in the oven.
Glad Ellen got on alright at the dentists David. Give her my wishes please.
Maureen I could probably lose wieght if I lived alone. It is all the things I do for OH that are so tempting. He asked a little while ago for toasted bun loaf and coffee. Well once I smelled it I wanted it too!!

That deed rabbit will be full of maggots Jane. If your dog swallowed any it won't do him any favours Give him a worming tablet as a precaution.

Morning All,
There is a big rabbit up the garden as I type but Phill Pheasant is up there too with his two wives!! OH has his window open in the study but can't shoot at it because of Phil. Jane I don't think Chester would eat the rabbits if it was full of maggots but a fox would take it or the crows.
Mandy glad you were pleased with the silks.
David how is Ellen feeling this morning. Did she have a sore throat after having the tooth out?
Maureen hope the cold's a bit better this morning. They really pull you down if they go on for a long while.

Morning Mel and all What a lovely day.The sky is blue ,the birds are singing, washing on the line and a whole load of ironing to get done and cleared! Then I am off to Tes ** to get some antibiotics as I think the tooth may be flaring up again.James will be home this afternoon so I will crack on and get all these things done,
Mel Chris said the rabbit had actually been partially eaten by something before Chester dragged it out.No more sightings this morning.
I hope Ellen has recovered from her day yesterday. I'll be back later. 9.49

Morning all Washing done as well Jane but unfortunately it's cloudy here so I think I will just have to use the clothes horse in the study till the sun comes out , it's threatening rain.
Last night I watched a program on catch up on BBC 2 about Sea shanties and songs I really enjoyed it, the young man's journey took him to my part of the country the north east coast he visited Sunderland where I was born and south Shields just a long the coast and also visited many coastal towns where I was taken as a child by my parents, very emotional trip for me as he listened to stories and songs that I had heard from my dad as a child.
