Afternoon everyone,

Well after a dull start first thing it's now lovely and sunny.

Best to keep your antibiotics topped up Jane , you don't want that tooth playing up over the weekend .
David ,hope Ellen has had a good night after her extraction ,it's bound to be sore for a few days .

I wonder how Ros got on yesterday with the chicks and bunny sale ,bet they soon sold out .

Well its a toss up between doing some staining or pricking out some seedlings .

afternoon all my lovelies
what a coc# up yesterday afternoon. I was just putting the chicken in the oven, when Ros decided to make some Lemon Drizzle cakes for selling last night. By the time she had cleared away., it was 4.30. So couldn't get dinner before she went out. Ended up having dinner at 9.00 when she got home. Lewis and I were starving !!! I must admit it was as good as I have cooked before.

Glad everyone is getting over their ills, I didn't know dentists still put you out. to pull a tooth. glad it went well.

Ros and Lewis are down the hall selling the goodies. The money raised is going to the local scouts, for a new hut and furnishings.

I have feed all the pots and tubs this morning, and watered the front lawn and flower beds, the groud it starting to crack. I have also set some Spring Onion,Raddish, Beetroot and lettuce, just a few of each, will sow some more in a couple of weeks. Had to cover the potato's in bags yesterday they are starting to show through.

I had better get this posted as the screen has started danceing around.

Gorgeous Afternoon All,

Wall to wall sun here, so I might nip out with my camera soon. I want to look at some basket plants at the little garden centre the other side of the village, but it will be PACKED out today so will go int the week. OH is .....well, you know where by now!!

Frank I noticed our potatoes were showing through this morning so I better cover them too. Do you still have dozens of tomato plants?? I have 3 to plant tomorrow, enough for us and ILs.

Mandy, I can feel your spa coming on!! lol The little ones will be asking soon I expect. lol A good day for staining.....warm and still.

Mel, if I was that bunny I think I would start 'hanging out' with Phil and his wives......much safer!! lol

Well, I better go while the sun is shining. Hope you all have a lovely day.

2.50pm

Still no sign of the two of them, must be having lunch down there. I had a late brunch. Eggs bacon sausages and fried new potato's. two slices of bread and butter.and a couple of mugs of tea.

I have just recovered 6 breeze blocks from a neighbours skip. They will be used to put under my water butts, that I have just installed round the shed and greenhouse.

I feel just about knackered now, so going to have a coffee and sit in the sun.

I am feeling much better today, have been wandering round the boot sale for hours this morning and it got really warm. Came home to find something wrong with Alfie. Thought we were doing too well, he's gone all wobbly and keeps falling over but it's not the same as when he had fits. I wonder if he might have got caught somewhere his front paws are all scuffed and marked. I was worried about letting him go out but he seems to have been fine for the last week. I'm sure he hasn't broken any bones though as he would have made a noise when I picked him up. A bit ot TLC I think and see how he is by Monday and if no better, another visit to the vet ....Kerching .....

Hi Everyone
Well I am now a birdwatching widow for the next seven days as hubby in Majorca.
The weather here is warm but overcast and I expect the sun will arrive tomorrow.
I have spent the morning in town helping with a bucket collection at Tes**s for our local Hospice Homecare charity. Even though there is a recession people are still so generous.
Frank Our potatoes are showing through today in the groundso should I cover them over as you have done? I hope Ros has sold everything as she has put a lot of time and effort into making things.
Fiona My hubby has an aunt living in Sunderland and his family all come from that area. They are spending a lot of money on regeneration and have recently modernised the Empire turning it into a super theatre.Must admit that its a while since we visited the shopping area but the Nissan car plant has helped to bring in a lot of cash.
Jane Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble with your tooth. Maybe you will have to have an extraction like Ellen.
Off to find which channel is showing Star Trek. I love watching the old episodes and can indulge myself all week.
Oh a friend has just rung to ask if we would like to go to Jersey for a few days in June. Said yes and he will book the flights so hope hubby happy with this. It's a good thing we had not finalised our plans for Norfolk!!

I don't think he's had a stroke Jane, looks more like he's got trapped somewhere and damaged himself trying to get free.

Wish I had friends in nice places Anne, a few days in Jersey sounds lovely.

Just come in from the patio. I had to move all my plants in pots and three window boxes of strawberry plants. Sucked all the beech leaves up and then scraped all between the paving slabs. I only did it late last year but so many weeds have come up between the stones and thats another thing! Every time we go to a beach with my SIL she and I collect nice pebbles. I had them all along the side of the pavers on red gravel and all covered in beech leaves. I have the small ones in a bucket of bleach to get the mould off them and shall do the bigger ones another day. OH will pressure wash the area for me tomorrow.

There is a walk up the village hall tomorrow with cider and pasties and Vron has sold over 100 tickets so OH has cut the top field so they can use it as a car park because they won't get that many cars in their car park.

Maureen I do hope Alfie will be alright, I wonder if he fell down somewhere? Hope he has'nt hit his little head. Sometimes trouble in their ears can cause them to fall over and wobble about.

OH cleaned my two reflecting pools out on the decking and cut the dead wood out an old Albertine rose in a little bit of garden at the end of my fairy garden. The wind was blowing a bit and when he came back from up the top blamed me for putting leaves down the side of the pond that he had cleared up earlier!

Totally knackered now like Frank and have'nt even thought about dinner for tonight!

Hi all
Sun came out this afternoon and I got all my washing dried as there was also a chilly wind so they got a good blow.

OH took me down to the garden centres and I bought a few little things for Easter, sweets etc also bought a yellow plastic play table for Sofia so she can sit and scribble and do her jigsaws. a bargain at £6 a bright yellow one looks good with her red plastic chair.

Glad Anne they have done up the Empire, spent many a Christmas there as a child to see a pantomime. and once went to see Cliff Richard in Summer Holiday, It was for my birthday , I think I was 6.
I keep saying to OH I really should go home to visit. I would like to go to Durham records Office and do some research , also go to visit the area where my farming Ancestors came from Woodlands and Bishop Auckland.

Anne

Anne Report 16 Apr 2011 18:37

Didn't have much luck with Star Trek so sort of watching the football ( city leading 1-0)
Fiona Do try theDurham Records Online site as it is very good. You can register for free and buy credits as you need them. I have used it such a lot and it has information which I cannot find on Genes.
Maureen I hope Alfie is soon well again
Jane Must be good having your son home. Those were the days with lots of dirty washing, son mainly in bed asleep or eating everything he could find and the telephone ringing constantly.
No news from Frank yet bet he's watching the match

Well ,what fun we have had in the garden.I decided I would have a go on the gun at the target.I hit the edge of it and it then went straight through the 'plastic' greenhouse lol.Just a little hole!.I can't believe it is 6.30 .I need to get dinner on the go.It has been so nice to see James and Hannah having a good old yabber together discussing studies ,interviews etc.I can't believe they are both 'Grown Up' and no longer squabble lol
Back later x
