Oh Shirl not MORE snow.Come over here it scorching.
Anne you aren't having a good time either are you. What a pair we are lol. My tooth isn't actually painful .It feels too big ,like it is higher than it should be.I think that is do do with swelling. It just kind of throbs and is quite distracting.
I haven't been in the garden at all today.Just glued to the ironing board and making my Lemon and Olive Meatballs and sauce which is cooking nicely in the slow cooker.James hasn't had them before so asked if I would do them. They are really tasty, and we have them with fresh Tagliatelle.
Mandy get that Spa out !.They say it is going to be good weather right into next week.Poor Chester is flopping all over the place. One minute he is pestering me to play and the next he has crashed out in the middle of the floor lol.
Frank I have a Turkey Crown in the freezer from Xmas that I think we will be having at the weekend.I remember you telling Maureen last Easter how to do the leg of Lamb for all her family. 17.31

Will anyone be watching the New Programme tomorrow night 'Lost Families'? I will.It will remind me of the day I met my Birth Cousin at York station. She took one look at me and shrieked "Oh my,you are just like your Mother, wait until the boys see you".We went to the Hotel where we were all meeting, and when Joe got out of his Taxi he saw me and the first word out of his mouth was F***,it's mother" lolol. Then Peter arrived and the four of us had a brilliant 2 days together.I think the programme will be a real weepy. I will be the only one watching here I think,as both my 2 and Chris have never accepted that I have found Birth Family and never talk about it with me.I find it very sad that they don't,but can understand in a way .I accept it now ,and I think they accept the fact that if I want to go and see Peter or Joe I will(just as long as I don't ask them to come with me lol)

Hi Everyone,
That's fantastic news David!! I hope things move swiftly for you now so you can move in. Got plenty of cardboard boxes?
My previous house had a poky, walk in pantry that was full of spiders and black beetles. I seem to remember it had a concrete slab about 18 inches off the floor. It met the same fate as Mandy's though and got knocked into the kitchen.
Didn't do much in the garden today, just fetched some free manure in the humpers to put on the borders. The massive heap at the stables had nearly gone and there were 3 big skip type things being filled with the manure instead. I did wonder with all the problems with that herbicide that got into manure, whether gardeners had stopped using it so they'd had to make other arrangements. We stopped using it on the veg, but it was fine on the borders. I think we will be going back in the next few days to get some more before it is all gone!!
We showered and went off to a garden centre near Nottingham then. OH was enjoying the roof down until we were overwhelmed with rape seed scent and he started sneezing!! lol Just as he recovered from that we passed the sewage works at Wanlip and he gasped OMG!! lol, lol I told him open air motoring isn't for wimps!!
I hope they can fit you in sooner with that tooth Jane. It isn't happy is it.
Shirl, it must seem like a very long winter with the cold and all the snow you've been getting. It really is boiling here, better than we usually get in July or August. The bluebells are in flower and the Wisteria on the cottages is in flower a fortnight earlier than usual. Still, us in the sun will get more wrinkles!! lol
I'm off to watch some telly now.....then off to bed as I'm tired again. I am getting up early lately to do stuff before it gets too hot. OH is at another match, but he had a snooze this afternoon.
Night. night ........hotter tomorrow I think.....xx

So pleased to hear your news David. I hope you can relax a little now. Jane Took some pills and no longer dizzy, just got a rotten head ache. I think I have been spending too much time over the jigsaw puzzle.Test results due back from hospital tomorrow, typically I feel much better now!! Everyone must be outside today in the sun as not many messages. Shirley Poor thing still having snow. Is this normal for the time of year? remember going to Vancouver in January a few years ago. It was very cold but crisp and clear and beautiful.Going to watch the programme on Wedding cakes. 8.00pm

Glad your house move is getting nearer David, very good news.
Shirl, I'm sorry you are still getting more snow but I am happy that for once I can join in with everyone else and say it's nice and warm here, even though it is strange weather for us to be having being so warm at this time of the year.
Jane what channel is that family program sounds good, I might be able to see it tomorrow on catch up. anyway I'm off to bed on my own again tonight so it's a drink and my book. night night. 21.17

Thank you everyone.Won't say too much in case I jinx it.
Nearly 50 years ago I lived in a part of Newcastle that was near the River Tyne just 2 or 3 miles up river from the ship yards.
At that time there was a bone yard.I think they used to melt them dowm to make glue or what ever. The thing was if the wind was blowing in your direction from the yard it stunk. Mind you the Tyne itself then didn't smell too sweet.

Hello Bob welcome, please keep the old memories coming.
Very mild here and very cloudy sun not out yet , my new tumble dryer arrived exactly at 7.00 this morning, how is that for service. Hope I am not tempting fate , not prepared to use it as I want the sun and heat to continue, washing in time for coffee

Morning All, and welcome Bob B.
Another beautifull day here yet again. I suppose we are getting all the nice weather now and it will be raining cats and dogs by the time we go away.
Yesterday we decided to sort out the bantams up the top of the garden. I went round to a friends just a little way up from us and bought another little chicken house. By the time it arrived I had cought up the four hens left up the top. It was put on the grass just down from the backdoor patio and I charged it up as soon as the boys had it in place and put the hens in it. Only one of them went up into the bedroom bit last night. One perched on the ladder and two slept on the grass next to each other. The little cockrel I kept from last years brrod that already lives down here with 5 hens is now running back and fourth between his 5 hens and the new 4 in the new house. OH says he will kill his slef if he carries on like that. The one I brought down shall not be let out for quite a while as they used to roost in the old espalier pear tree against the south facing wall up the top garden. I said to OH they will probably go up the apple trees in the orchard when we let them out!!
Did'nt geet any gardening done yesterday, just running around trying to get this new chicken coop.
David so glad things are on the move for you and Ellen not after all the mucking about you had with previous people.
Shirl not more snow for you!! Hope it warms up soon for you.
Jane how did you get on at the dentists??

Hoovered and washing in the machine on a boil wash to clean the machine out with all the bathroom towels in!
Hve to go up the library at 12.10. then it will be time to get the lunch and then maybe some more gardening. I bought a few asters to put up the border on Tuesday. I like those and so did mum. Nice for a few cut flowers for the house. Mum always grew them when I was small. The first flower I knew the name of was a big dark mauve Pansy in mums border. They have been a favorite ever since. I must admit I do like mostof the old fashoined flowers.

Well that was an ordeal.Got myself in a bit of a stew, all hot and bothered and a few tears as the injections went in.The Crown and post have been removed and the old root filling, but he can't get the silver tip out(whatever that is) it is cemented in.all packed with antiseptic and putty stuff until tuesday ,and more antibiotics .They are ones I can't have any alcohol with !!!.That will be a challenge for me lol.I'm all numb and dribbly,so will just go and sit and chill a bit in the garden with my book for a while.
It doesn't feel quite so warm today ,and there is a lot of haze.
Bob yes The Gunnery School is now National Trust I believe.I remember when it was Target Practice Days my sister and I would hear the guns and then see the plane ,and then it was who could spot the target trailing behind. Remember the Mew Stone? That is now a Bird Sanctuary and I don't think anyone is allowed on the island. We used to go over there every summer with Wembury Sailing Club for a day and take picnics.Had great fun swimming of the rocks out there. Those guns used to frighten the life out of our cats lol
I'm off outside now 12.00

Hi all,
Haven't got myself going yet this morning.
We went to B & # yesterday. Ros saw a beautiful "bottle brush" which see had to have, I got my "Dark Oak" wood preservative. Will start on that later. Got my glasses repaired at BOO## The glass had fell out. Had a look round the market. Bought some Jersey Royals. £1.60 lb. Lemons 8 for £1.00. On to Tesc# Spent far to much money. But with them all coming to dinner od Sunday we can't be short. Large TURKEY. loads of veg and bits and pieces. Can't move in the fridge both in the kitchen and the garage. !!!! Did a Gressingham Duck for dinner. Roasted on a wire tray over a dish to catch the fat. We had every door and window open during the cooking, the smoke was like a blue haze. Did Jersey royals, and veg. with a chicken gravey.
Went for a pint last night and watched SPURS V ARSENAL. one of the best matches i've seen this year. 3 -3 draw fair result.
This morning I was up by eight. Cleaned the cooker and dish washer. before Ros was up. Had my Bacon sarnie and tablets. Ready to get started on the fence again. Arm and shoulders ach like mad. But must be done.
Hope alls well we everyone.
