Mel Fairy Godmother Report 21 Apr 2011 13:16

had a nice lunch of smoked salmon pate' and cucumber sandwiches.

OH has the water in the pond making a nice rushing noise which seems to cool you down. I havemy little fairy fountain on too.

Robby has been coming to us on a regular basis for fat sticks and I cooked him some bantam eggs in the micro so he can feed his young.

Hi Everyone and hello Bob

Another glorious day . There is no wind so it is warmer than yesterday. Went to the local farm shop this morning They sell the most wonderful sausages and bread and have a super restaurant where I indulged myself with a large cherry scone.
Have had lunch ( a very small salad after the scone) in the garden and am now trying to decide wether to cut the lawn or not as it is about to be dug up next week.
Fiona The programme is on ITV at 9pm tonight.
Jane It sounds as though you have had a traumatic time this morning.Do you have to go back again on Tuesday?
Think I will have some more sun now

I would leave the lawn Anne .But that's me being lazy .If it is to be dug up,it's only a few days looking a little long.
I wish we had more decent Farm shops .I found a fantastic one in Suffolk when we were there last year.Just a tad too far to go I think .

Yes I have to go back on tuesday to have this plug thing removed and he will have another go at cleaning it all out,and see if things have settled down .If not then I think the tooth will have to come out ,but fingers crossed I won't come to that. The treatment I am having is 50/50 if it's successful.I'll probably have a few more appointments yet.Must be brave next visit lol.I felt a right twit .Don't think I have ever cried before(as an adult)

This is just such wonderful weather.Mel I love the sound of water in the garden. It is so soothing.Janice has a small pond and her mini waterfall is on 24/7.
What is everyone doing for the Easter Weekend?

Frank ,this is the second time you have cleaned your cooker in as many weeks!.Is it becoming a hobby of yours? lol.If you are that keen I will pick you up and you can come and do mine.

Mandy.I can just picture your DIL carrying a Gazebo .Impossible I would think .I take it it's not a wooden one!!

James is on the phone having a bit of a set to with his girlfriend. Not sure what it is all about other than I heard him say Jess you are being ******* totally unreasonable.I wonder what's going on.Not that I am nosy or anything lol.James has got his angry face on.Good job he is going out soon after he has eaten. His dinner is slowly drying out as it has been ready for a while.I think I might just go and shout out loud so Jess can hear and say "DINNERS READY"

Jane did you find out what the talk was about with James and Jess?? I am nosy too!

Went up the shop for some icecream and ended up trying the takeaway van parked in the square in Shebbear. I had cod and chips and got a donna kebab for oh with chips. Fish was nice and crispy but still not a patch on the fish shop in Holsworthy. I did ask if his fish was frozen first and he said yes but it was nice and white.

It is still beautifully warm here today.

I have been pulling th eivy off the south facing wall.

Our Xacordia bush is in full flower and is just covered in white blossom. It looks really lovely this year as last year OH cut it back at the wrong time.

Back again ,had a lovely tea , DIL was just going to give the children a bath ,they were playing outside with no socks on ,their feet were black !!! still they enjoyed playing and the dirt will soon come off in the bath .

DIL carried the Gazebo home to mine ,no Jane not a wooden one , just a small one for their garden ,to give the children a little shade to play in, Arg*s have a lot of them nearly half price , i have reserved one for us ,its one with the nets round , might be nice to have one over the Spa , if we can fit it in the garden , got to get hubby to get his tape out and have a measure up.

I'am nosey too , do we know what the set to with James's girlfriend was about ?

I love the sound of running water ,its so relaxing , although it does make me want to wee LOL

I am totally bugger##. Been in the garden all day. Finished painting the fence. Then put up all the little half moon baskets ready for the trailing tomato's. Ros has lined them, and filled them with compost.Still flitting around doing loads of things in the garden.

Yesterday while in Tesc#'s I bought one of the meals for two for a tenner. Two Chicken pies, tub of mixed green veg, two steamed treacle puddings, and a bottle of red wine. The Wine was £9.95 on it's own. We had it tonight and I must say I was verry impressed. I did some roast potato's with it, and a chicken and onion gravey. We didn't have the sweet as we were to full up. I will try the wine later. !!!!!

Ros has been to the doctors this evening 7.45pm appointment. She didn't ring till 6.45pm. She has what I thought was a large mole on her back, which has been hurting her. I said RIGHT ring the doctor. It turns out to be wart, He says it must have been there a long time, and if it continues to give her pain, he will take it off. You can't be to careful. The name of the wart is Seborrhoeic or senile warts. Chris will know all about them JANE.

Have now got my dressing gown on, going to sit down with a beer of two and try to relax.

See you all later.

Evening All,

That was a bit of an ordeal at the dentist Jane. I usually find I've gone all clammy by the time they've done a filling and I keep having to relax my hands which seem to end up in tense little fists. When it takes a while and they say 'close' I often find my jaw seems to have locked open! (no comment!) lol

We did a bit more in the garden and managed to actually plant 3 shrubs! OH had trouble pegging some of the soaker hose as there seems to be something like a concrete path along that side of the garden that the builder must have buried.

I popped out to the shops, then down to the bank again as they had rung and wanted copies of the details I took in yesterday!! (why didn't they copy them then!!!!) I had to wait half an hour despite making an appointment, but they have referred it elsewhere now. I don't know how they are going to recompense me, as stopping the standing order has broken the rules of the account so that I can no longer get the higher bonus rate of interest on it. The account is ongoing and not for a fixed term so there is no set period they can work out the loss of interest for. It is also no longer available so I can't open another and no other accounts have such a good interest rate. Will wait and see.

Tomorrow we are off the see ANDRE at Birmingham.....really looking forward to it. I think we will be leaving early as there's bound to be a lot of traffic about.

Mandy......will you be .....er.....skinny dipping when you have mesh around you!! lol

Ann,I held my hand up and said "I've got Lock Jaw" (or cramp) I think I looked like something demented when I went back to the waiting room with my records. An old lady looked at me and said"Crumbs" I hope I'm not in there as long as you were"
Off now to watch Lost Family

She said Ive a 38% chance of a stroke without them.
Don't know how she figured that
Don't know how she's sure Ive ten left either.

Jane

Jane Report 21 Apr 2011 22:23

David ,I know nothing about cholesterol statistics.Just take the tablets lol

Ann I bet you will have a brilliant evening tomorrow.I'm quite jealous.

Have had a few weepy moments watching Long Lost Family. It was lovely to see happy endings for those searching.
I am now now off to bed with my really gruesome book.I won't go into details as I know it would give Fiona and Maureen nightmares lol
Night Night everyone.

Bob if you are still looking in .Did you ever go to the Eddystone Pub at Heybrook Bay?Just around the cliff from HMS Cambridge.

Morning All,

OH has gone off with the digger to fill in a pipe for a friend just up at the cross roads.

It is overcast this morning but the back door is still open and it is not cold and thats the main thing.

All 4 bantams went up into their bedroom last night which made me happy. Then I forgot to shut the big chickens in their house so they were out at the crack of dawn this morning.

That's good that all the birds were happy in their new bedroom .
It is another sunny morning so I think my job will be weeding and tidying.I know Chris is putting the Runner Bean canes up today. He has taken Chester out.I was awake before 4 and just couldn't get off again. So I read my book with my tiny light.I think I dosed a bit on and off but not much.
Off for a shower now I think.

Morning All,

Sounds like the hens have settled in now Mel. Your OH is very handy with his digger isn't he........good to help friends out.

We are giving the garden a break today as we are off out to Birmingham later. I don't want to be sitting a few hours with kn*ckered back and knees. I can't decide what to wear so the bedroom will be a changing room for the next couple of hours. Will it be very hot or will it be draughty?? Supposed to be a bit hotter today anyway. I'm thinking cropped trousers and thin top and a cardie to carry might be best.

I enjoyed the programme Jane.......they were lucky it was happy endings. I thought the lady's dad was lovely with her.

I was hoping BOB would be back. I remember mum talking about bile beans, but I never did know what they were.

Morning everyone.
It has taken the sun all morning to struggle through today and it is cooler than yesterday. I am feeling a bit down this morning as unable to see the family until next weekend. StillI have played an Abba CD loudly and done some cleaning which has helped.
I thought the programme very interesting last night especially about the twins who had lived so close and yet did not know one another. Lerts hope they can now enjoy a lot of time together.
Going to neighbours for a BBQ later so have found a nice bottle of white as its fish and am going to stew some plums for pud.
Be back later
