Happy birthday for yesterday to Sheila's oh, hope it was a good one!!

It was our Anniversary yesterday, of the thread I mean, it was three years old!! It is really hard to beleive that we have all been friends now for that long!!

Have to go shopping today and get some stuff to take away.

Hope Jane got on ok at the dentists and she is not too sore when she gets back.

sunny here but a chilly wind. catching up with my family history today so I'm ready for Edinburgh to night.
I haven't had any lunch as I try to cook a meal about 3.00 so I am not hungry later on , I start researching at Edinburgh at 6.30 till 9.00 and then I have a sandwich on the bus home.

That bush in the garden, I think is "DEUTZIA MONBEIGII" The purfume from it is almost overpowering, I can't get enought of it. !!!! I will ask Harvey next time we speak, he should know what it is.

Have done nothing outside today. Had a nice Egg bacon, mushroom, tomato's and toast for breakfast. Have got half leg LAMB (not again I hear Jane say !!!) Rosemary and garlic under the fleash, Baby Jersey Royals, baby carrots, Runner beans, cauliflower and roast parsnips.

Boiler being serviced this afternoon. The hot water boiler, not ROS !!!!! Don't you dare say a word. !!!!

Well at last .They must have had trouble on GR this morning.
The Dentist did an XRay and says it's looking good,the infection seems to have gone .Just 2 more days of these tablets.He didn't touch my tooth and is leaving it undisturbed for another 2 weeks.Then I have a 40 minute appointment on Friday the 13th !!!,then several more after that .

It is blooming chilly! I think I am going to have to and put a warmer top on.

Will we all be watching 'The Wedding' on Friday?I'm sure I will.Hannah says she will be going to London early and meet up with friends .I think she said they would go to some park where there are big screens or some street party.
She better make sure she gets home by the evening as on Saturday morning she is having her house cleared so needs to be there for the Man and his van.It is all coming here !!.I know Chris will have a go at me to get rid of some of my things in the garage to make more room.Fat chance he's got lol.I could say the same to him about some of his stuff.

Thanks for the pics of your garden Frank, certainly looks well loved. I have a clematis right by the back door absolutely covered in big fat buds, when it flowers I will send you a pic. How's your garden project going Ann, must have been too hot to be working out there this weekend.

Had a lovely Easter Sunday all but one daughter and partner turned up. such a lovely day we carried the dining table out in the garden and ate our roast lamb al fresco and daughter phoned to say her partner had just proposed, so a wedding to plan for next Spring.

HELLO ALL. Mandy thank you for your good wishes and everything. I glad you like my tales of Donnie or metal mickey my ho calls him.
I think Beryl was mean telling him that dress was so much money. Poor Donnie worked hours trying to get some money in a pie factory he had to fill the pies with the gravy. He said my head was going funny.Beryl said that would not be a first. I have to laugh romance is not in that home. I was hearing how Donnie cleans the stud in his tongue last time revolting I call it. Beryl said he soaks it in olive oil when telling me. Then he scrubs it with a brillo pad. I was only half listening and I said what his tongue.

Those pair help me Amanda last time I was asked if I would take them in the car to Weston.I said no and Beryl said oh go on I will buy you a stick of rock. I said Oh great that will make my day try some petrol money and end of subject not mentioned again.

The dinner was nice my curry was small mostly veggies and they bought me free a nice glass of Tia Maria I got a rose when I left .

My son made me laugh he said he was called down to the flat below him in the house he lives in Malvern the man below had put some stew on to cook and forgot it and his saucepan got so hot it exploded. My son went in to help and cleaned it all up .Cleaned the kitchen and threw away the saucepan etc. he said the old bloke was shocked and sitting in the chair looking really upset I said what did you do. Her said well after I had a beer and read his paper I got the old boy into bed but he would not stay in bed and got up and said to me you are a good boy moving that mess its made me feel really ill can I do something for you. My son said yes mate you can do me beans on toast if you like ta. I said you should have done him beans on toast and he said why it was not my saucepan that blew up.

I have a garden full all over of forget me knots I dont know what happened why I was away looks like someone waved a wand and sent them all over the garden.

Jane your poor tooth I hope it will be ok

Jasper and Teddie are not in my favour today. I left my electric Iron on the floor and both dogs did a wee on it. I sent them outside and they were fighting over a dead bird only a little one when they came in Teddy dropped a wing on the floor Jasper dropped the head on the floor and Teddy picked up the head and went wagging his tail into the lounge.

Well off for a rest now.I am cold today its freezing here.Yesterday was beautiful. Did anyone see Britians got talent the dog that sang opera with the lady who owned it. She sang this real cool song and had a lovely voice and doggie joined in the women said ready and the dog sang really high notes. I am looking forward to the royal wedding. Some guy is having a street party and we are surposed to take food down. I think I will see what the weather is like before I sit around eating with my condition.

Sorry I have not posted over the weekend but have spent most of the time outside in the garden. The weather has been glorious until today when it has been absolutely freezing.
Well the new fence is now up and the bit blocking the motorhome looks like a stockade. I'm sure it will be fine once we cover it with plants but it looks very stark at the moment. Now we can begin to reorganise the rest of the garden and hubby is now going to take up the lawn and put down a membrane ready for the arrival of the shale. The plan is to change the feel of the garden totally and make it more user friendly.It is going to take time but wil, we hope, be worth it. Will take photo when finished.

Have been shopping and bought three big bottles of spring water to take with us as I don't think I fancy making tea and coffee from the tank on the boat!

I could'nt get back on the site this morning so went and did other things. I kept getting the Error white page come up. Also Sheila pm'd me and it came through 5 times the same message.

Take a look at Franks posts and the time that is on them!!!! The later one came through first then the 1.32 post came through!! What are they doing with our site?

Jane can you send me the pics of Franks garden please?? I would love to see them.

Evening All,

I've quite liked today being cooler.....got more done. As you say Maureen it was too hot out in the garden for working for me over the weekend so we got up early before it got hot to get a little bit done. Did you do a lamb meal again for the family this year? Oh and how is Alfie now?

Today it was cool but not cold in the greenhouse so I got my baskets planted up, some peas planted and lettuce seeds put in and had a tidy up in there.

Mandy I watched The Suspicions of Mr Whicher too. It was quite good, especially being a true story. OH had read the book but I threatened to gag him so he didn't tell me how it ended. lol

At least it looks as if your tooth can be saved Jane. I imagine once the next appointment is out of the way it will just be the fitting of the crown which won't take long.

I took my car back to the repair place today for them to look at the mirror which won't adjust in and out since they replaced it. After a bit of ringing around they got authority to replace the motor on it so I just have to wait for them to get one in. I thought they might quibble as I hadn't realised it wasn't working properly till now and it is a year ago.

We had chicken cooked in a tomato and basil sauce with sliced peppers, onions, mushrooms and courgettes with rice and then some rhubarb out of the garden with custard tonight.....very tasty.

Mel that fish is MASSIVE. I don't know how you managed to get it home.......must have been strong polythene and a sturdy box. We always take bottles of water when we go away a few days. Water elswhere always seems to taste different to home anyway and we like to drink water at night and when we are out.

Anne, we have gravel piles and membrane rolled back while we redo our garden. It is well worth having the membrane as apart from stopping the weeds it keeps the soil from mixing in which means you can change things in the future. We are incorporating some shale this time too. We have some in the front garden and it is best at suppressing the weeds and nice to walk on. It will all be worth it when you see how nice it looks.

Well, off to bed now to watch the Celtic Britain programme we are recording. Night, night xx

Morning All
It is a nice bright morning but there is quite a breeze.Not cold like it was yesterday.
I will be going over to Hannah's house sometime this morning as someone is coming to disconnect the washing machine.We need it ready to move out on Saturday.

We have lots of gravel in the front and we still get weeds coming through.Sometimes I pull a tough one and lift the membrane with it lol

I think this is a good day for drying washing so I think I will get a load in the machine quickly.

Morning Jane and All,

Nice again today but I think we had a little rain last night.

OH ordered a filter sive for the pond over a week ago and we thought it was not coming but it arrived yesterday. He had to go and get some pipe to fit it this morning early and has only been back a little while.

I have to go and get chickens food today and make sure I have proper drinkers for the new coop. So shan't be around much.

Also have done a bit of packing!! and yes Jane I have mine and oh's meds.

Much fresher morning here also. Out the front the wind can cut you in half, but out the back it's great. and much warmer.

I have sent a complaint to one of the big seed companies this morning. I bought a packet of cucumber seeds only four in the pack £4.99 now they are growing only TWO have come through. See what they have to say.!!!

I am thinking of getting my BUS PASS out tomorrow and go anywhere to get away from this wedding. I am not the type to sit and watch that all day. which I know Ros will do. If I get to Northampton, I can get bus's to a lot of places, or I could go the other way to Oxford and go from there. I had a laugh with a mate last night. He said you might end up in Blackpool and miss the last bus HOME, and Ros would have to come and get you. !!!!! NO CHANCE OF THAT I SAID. She would leave me there.

Frank ,you could go on one of those Mystery Tours.Who knows where you could end up.I wonder if they still do them.I used to see them advertised in the ET.
I'm just waiting to get a call from this chap to let me know when to meet him at the house.He said he would ring when he finishes the job he is doing near Leicester.

Have looked for Mystery Tours, but none available. from Northampton Could go on a continental trip for a week !!!! More than likely end up in the Conservatory watching DVDs Plenty that I haven't watched, and I have a supply of beer in the fridge, so I can still toast them. !!!! BAH HUMBUG !!!

Afternoon everyone,

Lovely blue sky here ,and a good dry out , i've had all my bedding on the line ,got that dry and have put another two loads out .
Gave my bedroom a bit of a spring clean this morning ,and the airing cupboard !! didn't realise i had so many sheets and quilt covers ,they get pushed to the back ,but now its nice and tidy .

I thought The Suspicions of Mr Whicher was good too Ann, Do you think the brother helped her ?? or was it the brother that killed the boy and she went to prison for him , left me wondering !!

Frank ,you could have a trip to the coast ,or is it to far from you ?

Hubby's home, he got as far as he could today ,so he called and had a new tyre put on his van ,he's now going to do some more jobs in the garden .

I 'm glad I got a proper plumber to disconnect that washing machine.It was quite a job isolating the water pipes (if you know what I am talking about),then something was jammed.Quite a bit of water to mop up afterwards as there was a lot of pressure !!.Luckily it is tiled floor.
The day just seems to have gone.I just realised what time it is.

Well there is a kind offer Frank.Anything to have got out of watching the Wedding lol
Must get a few bits done .Dust my bedroom for one thing .No wonder I wake with a stuffy nose.I can write my name in it.Tut Tut !
