I have to say that I thought that wedding was absolutely lovely! the dress was beautiful as was the bride The service and the setting (wow, that Abbey is impressive) were terrific. I think we are the only country in the world who could put on this sort of show and, I have to say, it made me proud to be British. I also think the message is loud and clear that we are a 'Christian' country, extremists please take note!! There, now you all know what I think!!! Yes you're right, I'm a Royalist, give me the Queen any day than President ????? Blair?!!! |

I've been reading your posts Mandy and Ann with interest on Constance Kent, I really enjoyed The Suspicions of Mr Wicher but I think it was Constance who killed her half brother with the help of her brother, there are some good dramas coming on. |

No Jane, haven't seen any of the wedding but I do wish them a long and happy life together and I can see how it can only do good for Britain but I don't believe in all that curtsying and bowing to another human being. I agree with Liz this is a Christian country and should remain so but we can still be christian without the royal family. |

Yes Jane, I had to eat my words about the trees! The Abbey is so enormous that they fitted in very well. I thought they would be a bit overpowering, but I was wrong!! Oh dear Mureen, I hope Alfie is OK, perhaps he has mites in his ear. (I'm sure you've thought of that!!) Millie had an ear infection last summer and she scratched like fury and was very miserable; ear drops did the trick, and now I use ear wipes every so often, just in case! I do agree with you about bowing and cursying to the Royal Family, but I think the younger Royals aren't too keen on that either. For me though this is outweighed by the pomp and ceremony, Trooping of the Colour, all those uniforms and lovely horses, just the history and the evolement of the whole thing keeps me on board with the Royals!!! |

It looks exactly the same as his neck did and he is scratching at the back of his ear. I did think FLEAS but I can't use the treatment now until it clears up. The last time the vet seemed to think it was the nerve ends tingling, and since he went a bit peculiar last week maybe it has started it off again. I'm just going to keep it covered for now to get him out of the habit of scratching, it worked last time. Everytime I look at him I want to laugh, I'll take a photo so you can see what I mean. |

I thought I saw Prince Phillip go in first David. But yes the balcony cleared pretty swiftly once the Queen went in.I think today has been a great day for Gt Britain. It has got everyone out of the doom and gloom (even if for just one day) |

I agree Jane, I thought it was a great day for Britain, even if it isonly for one day. There is so much gloom and horror in the world, it was nice to see people smiling and cheering. I should think the Queen must get a bit tired these days after all she is 85, and Prince Phillip nearly 90!! perhaps that's why they went in a bit smartly!! brilliant day though! |
