Bright this morning but a real cold wind, can't sit out for coffee, but good to get washing dry.
Hope Mel had a good night sleep, maybe the water might have rocked her to sleep lol

Morning All
As you say Shirl not a flower !! It won't be long before they are blooming again. You will have to send an 'after photo' lol
That brisk wind is still here but again a beautiful blue sky.Chris is off and is on his way back from MK as his pooter has had to go in to be fixed.
Then I think Fitz is coming up at lunch time.Which means I had better get a move on and get some work done.

Don't forget to put the wine in the FRIDGE !!!

Morning my lovelies, How the devil are you all,

Ros has gone mad!!! . She has just taken down the Lounge curtains, to give them a good clean, and do the window.

I have found four envelopes with various seeds in, Ros dosen't know what they are. So I am going to put them in trays of compost, and see what happens. ANYONE WANT SOME SEEDLINGS. I will have hundreds if they all take. !!!!

Cold breeze out this morning, but it won't stop me doing what I need to do. JANE watch out for tonight, there is a chance of FROST in this area !!!

Went down the greenhouse to get some trays and found a box full of envelopes all with seeds in. Most had names on, so I have set pots and trays. Violas Hollyhock, sweet peas, wallflowers, new type of poppy. I am looking out onto the patio. and there are five seed trays, fifteen pots of various sizes all with seeds in. So I will have lots to pass on to friends and neighbours
Have just washed down the plastic doors and windows, watered the plants and lawn out front.

Going to have a coffee.

Afternoon everyone,

Sunny here with that chilly wind again, good for getting the washing dry though.

Frank, my BIL found lots of packets of old seeds a few weeks ago , one lot were runner beans they were years old !!! ,he planted them and they all came up !!
Your garden looks a picture now ,so where will you plant all these others if they all come up ? you'll have to set a stall up on the market LOL

Ann, loved the little ducklings with their mum ,so cute , and the Deer, he's having a good old scratch lol

I feel really lazy today , don't feel like doing anything but i know should !!

Was looking at my tree yesterday , i think i may have found a Great Grand Aunt's photo on another tree !!!

In the 1851 census she is 18 living with Cajetan Dias Sontor and wife Elizabeth ,and is down as niece !! i'am almost certain that this is my Catherine Dawson ,as her sister Jane was living in Reading Berkshire.

Catherine married Francis Cuddon in Berkshire in July1851 ,he was born in Catton Norwich and James their son born 1852 in Norwich had the name James Cajetan Dias Sontor Cuddon !!!!!
I carn't find a marriage for Elizabeth and Cajetan or a death , and on the census Elizabeth has the name Devis ,but it does say Wife !!!
I carn't find them on the 1841 census !!!
This is going round in my head !!! trying to work it out , you don't think she a had a fling with this Cajaten !! he was 76!!! and she was only 18 !!

Shirl,

I should think so. !!!! you little begger I know you are waiting for that slap on the legs !!!! You will soon be off to bed. Sleep tight and sweet dreams.

That wind blew like hell an hour ago, I though the roof was coming of, NOW there is hardly a breeze. HE is trying to tell us something.!!!!

Sat looking through a Holiday brochure (COACH TRIPS) some look very nice, but for two of us, some are over £650.00 EACH Even small trips are £275/375 for 4/5 days. Can't afford those prices on my pension. I will have a Holiday at BLISWORTH. and be sure of getting good food !!!! and a compfy bed.

I suppose Jane is lying in the sun, after her lunch with Fitz (NOT LYING IN THE SUN WITH HIM) How many bottles JANE ????better tell the truth, or you will have a pimple on your tounge.

The only trouble with losing weight, you look alright with clothes on but underneath the old skin is sagging, oh well will just have to keep my clothes on ...lol

Once you get going Ann, it won't take you long to fill your walls with paintings judging by the ones you've already done. I still haven't done any more, seem to be a fair weather person so will have to wait until it rains. I'm giving the sweet peas one more chance this year, let me know if yours are more successful, can't wait for a photo of your garden.

I forgot all about the pumpkin comp, suppose it's too late now to start seeds off, I haven't got much room in my garden anyway, has anyone done the pumpkin seeds or shall we all cheat and buy a pumpkin and not tell Mel ....lol

Are you off for a little nap now Jane, wine in the afternoon always makes me sleepy.

Why, after weeks of rubbish tv do they decide to put some really good dramas on all at the same time. Exile is really good, excellent acting and the one on the other side (I recorded) is good too.

Hi Everyone
Home again after a lovely weekend. The family are all looking so well and happy and MIL loved nursing Lucy. We went to visist the Blue bells in the woods on the Ashridge and they were gorgeous. Good to see native bluebells in a huge carpet of blue.We drove back last evening expecting lots of traffic but the road was very quiet and we made record time.
Ann Maureen and Frank thank you all for the photos. Everyone has such wonderful gardens and hopefully ours will look good soon. The pebbles are now laid and we just need some colour now.It is going to be frosty here again tonight so it is not time for delicate plants yet.
Maureen please share your slimming secret as I really need to lose some weight.
