Frank I think it will be Mels last night on the boat tomorrow ,so she should be back home on Monday.
I wouldn't be surprised if we get some thunder today.I hope not as Chester will go nuts !

Afternoon everyone ,

We've only had a few spots of rain ,not enough to wet the ground , on the weather map it didn't look as if the rain would reach this far, but we really need some , its sunny here now .

Frank, that's nice, a new baby boy, bet Ros will bring something back for the baby ,or has she been knitting something nice?

Sally you look a bonny baby , i don't know how to add a photo , son would have to sort it out for me .

Right will have to sort out some lunch ,hubby will be home soon , he's been putting in some windows for a customer , and has now gone to take his big ladder so that DIL's father can put some spikes on his aerial, he wants to stop the birds from sitting on it and messing on his car which is parked underneath !!!

Some dirty birds have pooped over my car too Mandy lol.I think it is probably the Wood Pidgeons.

Sally you were a cute little thing.I don't know how to put a photo on either.James said he would help me tonight,if he can take a break from his revision and the 4,000 word essay he needs to get done by tomorrow!

No more rain .We really need a good downpour to help the garden and clear the air.I think the pollen count must be very high today.I can smell it in the air and we are all doing a fair bit of sneezing.Chris and I both woke up with stuffy noses this morning.
Chris is busy doing things in the greenhouse and planting cabbage and cauliflower.Hannah has gone to have her trial for contact lenses.I bet her eyes will be watering lol

Well hubby's home the ladder wasn't long enough ,so DIL's father said he'd bring one home from his work , he really shouldn't be lifting ladders about , he has a Hernia ,and is going into hospital on Weds to have an op( DIL's father that is not hubby ) he went to Norwich the other week ready for the op ,got as far as the theatre and it was cancelled !! now he's going to have it done in Cromer hospital.

I had bird muck all over my garden bench , the littleones thought it was funny the birds had pooped all over the seat !!! they has sat up on the guttering ,i think they were those old Wood Pigeons .

I think the pollen is high today, the wind doesn't help !! , i was all blocked up first thing and sneezing , now after taking the tablet my nose is really dry !! :S

Jane i never asked how Hannah got on with her interview thingy the other day , did she think it would help her with the real thing ?

Mandy ,thanks for asking.Hannah said the Lady didn't grill her as much as she thought she would.I said maybe she was good enough in the interview that she didn't need much advice.I know she has put an awful of work into it.Her proper interview is on Wednesday(I think).I just hope she gets a placement.It is her dream to be a Clinical Psychologist and I know she would be a brilliant one.It is just so difficult to get a place for training .Our next door neighbour is a Neuro Psychologist .I hope she doesn't turn strange like him lolol.He is an oddball.

I don't like these grey pics .They make us all look like boys with a polo neck jumper on lol.I won't put up the one of me naked aged 2 in the garden !! ;-)

Chris has now planted a ton of stuff.I just don't know what I am expected to do with it all.There is a limit .I WILL NOT BE A SLAVE IN THE KITCHEN.lolol
Last lot of washing in for James now.He will be off tomorrow afternoon.Then I will enter his bedroom!!!!!!!.I'm dreading it lol

Jane, it does sound as if Hannah had put a lot of work into the interview if the lady didn't grill her that much, she must have come up with some good replies to the questions and the lady couldn't fault her answers !! so well done to Hannah, we'll all keep our fingers crossed for her .

What has happened to the site? Just shows how things change when you take a couple of days off.I hope everyone is well and happy ( am saying this as I have not read all the posts) I have gone platinum, on the site not in my hair, and have spent the last few days exploring the 1911 census. There is so much more information and I have learned a lot about my family.
The sun is shining here but it did rain for about an hour earlier. It is so warm that I think we will have tea in the garden again.
Frank So pleased to hear about the new baby and hope that mum and baby are fine.
Guess I do not need to add the time now but will try a smily face :-)

find your photo's in file, pick the one you want,wait for it to load then press send! Im sure thats all of it! When you go back onto a thread your photo should be there, Good Luck!

Oh Sally it is still all gobbeldy gook to me lol.I don't have photos on a file with GR,just my own thousands of pics on i photo.I will wait for my son to help(hopefully tonight) ,but I won't hold my breath.

You know Mandy I am so proud of my two.There is me who was a total waste of space where school was concerned.I left as soon as I was 16.Even when I started my Nursing Training I was still not a good student lol
They obviously have their brains and commitment to get somewhere in life from Chris.How the heck did I end up marrying a Doctor????Not brains.Maybe just my fantastic personality and charm lololol.Chris said it was my smile!!!! ;-)

Afternoon all
Been shopping in Glasgow for most of the day took back the shoes I bought on line, and managed to buy another pair not exactly the colour I wanted but they are blueish and fit.
The woman in the shop says small sizes (she is a 2 1/2) are becoming more difficult to find these days because WE being Britain don't make them any more , and the shops abroad who make them are slowly stopping because there not so much of a demand, (OH YES THERE IS !!!!! ME HELP lol
when they come in the shop they are snapped up quick just like small size clothing in the shops

Been warm today and we have had some sunshine it's cloudy now but still no rain

Good news for your next door neighbours Frank, you never know you might get called on to babysit in the future or hear a little voice sometime when he is running around over the fence saying "can I have my ball back mister" :D

Yes I would have been about that age.

The dogs name was Ginny pronounced like the drink Gin, I think i have already told the story of how we bought her from a farm near Camelot Castle in Cornwall, I loved the story of King Arthur and his Knights and Queen Guinevere , her name should have been Guinny after the queen but why we missed out the U i don't know, you do funny things when your a kid. anyway that was her name and she was with us for 12 years, she died on my 18th birthday.

Senior moment this afternoon.
I was out in my new used VW Passat.
Heavy shower.Put my wipers on.
Wondered why the rear wiper wasn't working.
Pulled into next lay by and spent a minute or two switching stalk on and off.
Still no rear wiper.So I got out and checked think it might be stuck.

There isn't a rear wiper on the Passat :S

Evening All,

Well it rained here a lot of the night and then for about an hour this morning.....then sunshine again. It has been quite humid and stuffy though. We went for a walk through some bluebell woods after we'd looked at some pebble pools this morning and we both felt stuffed up, leaden and as if there wasn't much air.

Thank you for the guidance on the emoticons Fiona. I just don't seem to have them....Boo.... hoo. Might be to do with the filters on my pooter. I had quite a job to get a photo on here as it kept closing down every time I clicked on the photo I wanted!! I remember your sweet little Spaniel Ginny.

Jane, if you can't cook all that Chris is growing you will have to put a table out on the front!! lol My OH kept cutting and bringing in Rhubarb and leaving it in the kitchen to be 'magicked' into something nice until I said WHOA!! The poor plant has hardly any stalks left now and needs to recover!!

David my OH bought a car once and thought it had a rear wiper and it didn't!! He had seen them on other cars the same model, but he discovered they were an 'extra' you paid for. I have no rear wiper either.......I do miss having one!!

Frank that Iris is a lovely colour. I always find they are not as good as the picture on the label when I get them, but that one is a beauty.

I forgot to ask how Hannah got on with that lady. I know there are companies set up that do this sort of thing now and even videos on line about interviews for all kinds of jobs now. It's all good practice and gets you used to being in the 'interview' situation! Hope all goes well for her at the 'real' thing.

Morning Everyone.
Still haven't done my photo yet.I tried to have a go just now and got myself in a bit of a muddle.James still says he will help me.
Well we didn't half have some rain in the night.It woke me up at one point.But the grass is looking green again.It's quite a bright morning but some big clouds around too and a fair wind.

I must get showered now ,well one Chris is out of the bathroom .He is doing his normal sunday morning trimming of his beard.

Morning Jane

We have the same weather , torrential rain through the night and very windy, still raining now but not as heavy. OH decided not to go cycling. and have a day in the garden, needs to go to tip with garden rubbish and our old tumble dryer, we have my dads old trailer which is ideal for these trips.

I'm going to get on with the ironing OH work shirts as he is away till Thursday this week. so will need to take about 7 shirts with him for day time and evening wear.
