Had a quite afternoon, listened to the match in between getting dinner.

Still have'nt caught up with your posts yet.

Yes we were supposed to stay another night but had to stay in the boatyard and did'nt fancy having all the boats around us and when we got there, there were no other boats in yet so we docked easily and came home.

We were in a while and our friends came to shut the chickens in and talked for quite a while and it was Gerry's birthday.

Done one lot of washing and went to put it on the line and it was raining.

We saw a fox drinking from the canal one morning and the first morning there was a mother duck and ducklings right opposit the boat. We saw lots of Herons along the way and a black mink passed the locks. I guided the boat in the locks and OH did all the gates winding the paddles up and opening the gates while I kept the boat in the right place within the lock. Quite difficult for someone who has'nt done it before and coming back down you had to mind the cill incase you got the stern of the boat stuck on it. Frank will know what I am talking about. There were loads of baby ducks with their mums but we saw two lots of 11 ducklings with no parents at all. When you fed them with bread they followed the boat for as long as you fed them. They were really funny almost walking on the water to catch the boat up and mum would fly to get nearest first.

Off to bed now in my nice BIG comfy new bed. I must say I did miss it.

Glad to see you back Mel and I bet you had a lovely sleep back in your own bed. Good to see your OH did some paddle winding. :-) Sounds as if you saw a lot of wildlife, I've never seen a Mink and I would have loved those ducklings.

I'm still on a hunt for a pebble pool with a bigger reservoir than I've seen.......the dreaded housework needs doing too.....dust everywhere, but I'd rather be outside while it's fine. OH has gone to get more manure!!

Jane we have had the gas people in our district for the last 2 months, digging up paths all over the place , and parking vans in awkward places so it's difficult to manoeuvre round them when driving,

Quiet morning for me. then daughter no 1 is dropping Sofia down for a few hours while she has to go into work for a meeting. better get a pizza out of the freezer for lunch.

OH said to me just now we need to fill up with water and pump pout the waste otherwise the bungalow will not sit straight in the water...................................... Silly old fool. he really enjoyed his fishing and we got him a licience for the year so I expect he will be off somewhere fishing. He is talking about taking me with him to Ziggies which is not far away from home, and taking a picnic, so what do I do while he is enjoying himself??

It has just started to rain and he has told me to shut the hatch. Washing can stay out!!

Anne, you are the third person to report chicken pox, and friend of ours has been very poorly with it. What's the cause of them. ???

Jane will have nothing to do now, the lecky off and James gone back. No cooking. Bread and scrap for dinner tonight.

Have just noticed I have been a member of genes since Jan 2006. Does that meam I am the longest member. ??? ;-) ;-)

Apparently I've been a member since Feb 2005 Frank. I joined at the library and because you only had a set amount of time I did all FH research, so I didn't come on the boards until about 2008 I think.

Daughter no 1 returned from work so took Sofia home for tea. we had a good afternoon, we went for a walk and Sofia fell asleep in the buggy and slept for an hour so I had time to relax. in between DVDs, books and games jigsaws etc, now I'm going to have an hour or so before no2 daughter & boyfriend come down for dinner.
OH away till Thursday, so I will have most evenings to myself , wonder what films are on the TV tonight.

Fiona, I bet Sofia is on the go all the time she is awake now and probably asking lots of questions too. Don't pick anything scary to watch tonight will you.......I've made that mistake before when OH was away and ended up awake most of the night!!

Afternoon all.The gas bag is back lol.It was so quiet here with no electricity,not even the hum of the fridge.Yes Ann I have done some weeding and cutting back on tall weed things.Went to fill flasks with hot water from Fitz as he didn't have his switched off.Poor thing was really down.He is having dreadful problems with his mum and incontinence.Just about at his wits end this morning.
This afternoon I had my Mammogram.I got there half an hour early and luckily was able to go straight in to the torture chamber lol.
It is breaded chunky cod tonight Frank with some bubble and squeek,peas and beans.So I haven't got away with no cooking after all.I must get the washing out of the machine.I couldn't put it on until about 3.30.Hopefully it will still have time to blow dry in this wind.

Chicken pox is caused by a virus I think Frank.Not a nice thing to have. :-(

Seem to have been busy all day doing odds and s*ds
DIL came with the little ones at lunch time ,we went to Tes*o's ,when we got back hubby and son were home,they got finished early today ,so hubby took them home .
I put my fly screen up the back door today , i hate the flies coming in , i blame Toby !! poor old boy , :S

Well i'am still boring old grey me,no photo !! i tried to follow Ann's guide but when i got as far as the" my profile" ,there is no blank box and nowhere to click on that says change !!! :S
