mel, you make me feel tired just reading your posting, It would take me a moth of Sundays to do what you do in a day !!!!

My first crop of raddish were picked the day before yesterday. Conrad said I love Raddish. So Ros packed them in as little box and posted them, he got them this morning, will have them in a salad tonight. I am posting him a packet of seeds today, so her can grow his own. Cost £1.97 to post the raddish, Can't believe how expensive postage is.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Kim.. We have little bats around here in the summer. They fly around the street light catching insects.

Trust everything went well with the DENTIST Jane,

Morning All
Our Radishes are smashing.Chris picks a couple every morning to put in his lunch box.One I picked just now seems to have been got at by something,so I ditched that one.Everything is suddenly taking off now in the veg patches.I wonder what I will pick first from the veg.I bet it will be those blooming Broad Beans lol

Glad to see you are feeling much better Kim.I bet you gave a cheer when your daughter went off lol.Enjoy your Chinese tonight.

Bright and Breezy here today but clouds looming.STILL NO RAIN !!!

Mel you are braver than me. I wouldn't be able to put my hand into a tank with a snake!!! I spent so much time in pet shops when the kids were little. I had tropical fish with the first hubby - that was an expensive hobby!!

How much land do you have? We had a vegetable garden when we lived in Victoria. The marrows were huge and we had so many we couldn't give them away.

Jane had a beautiful meal of King Prawns in garlic sauce with special fried rice and a glass of champagne. Enjoyed it so much - very quiet here tonight with the girl away, lol.

Keith had to race off to the late night chemist as Joel has come home with the cold bug. He has ME too, so has to take care of himself and dose up with vitamins. I nag him a bit as I don't want him to get to my level, but he is very good, drinks heaps of water and doesn't try to keep up with his mates. They all drink too much, but they are a nice bunch of kids.

Joel got back into his cricket this year - first time in about 3 years. He also learns guitar and attends Newcastle TAFE which is about 90 minutes north of here. He is doing music and sound production and hopes to be a sound engineer one day.

Frank I am enjoying your emails so much and passing them on to my friends. Hopped on the treadmill for 10 minutes today - my longest time in 5 years!! I managed to pull out a few weeds without falling over and trimmed back a few bushes from the side path, so I am well pleased with myself %3A-%29

Time for a cuppa and tv. I think I have some chocolate in the kitchen cupboard. Sounds good.

Will give a goodnight hoy before I go to bed. Kim

Afternoon all,

Lovely sunny day here again
All this talk of snakes will give me nightmares , if i see any thing about snakes i always seem to have a dream about them !!
When we use to go to Yarmouth, there was a man with a huge snake and you could have your photo taken with it draped round your neck !!! i use to cross over the road away from it !!

Sorry to hear nothing can be done for Ros Frank, she must be really fed up with the pain all the time.
After falling about did you mange to get your pole up !!! lol

Hope you got on ok at the dentist Jane , my letter came today to remind me i'am due for a check up some time .

Hi Everyone

Having a quiet day today as woke with horrible head. It's raining outside now but the ground is barely damp as rain is so fine.I think I might cheer myself up by baking some cakes for the freezer. Got on scales this morning and have put on 2lbs don't know how as have been eating lots of salad and veg this week.
Calendar girls was superb last night and we all laughed and laughed. The theatre was packed full of women with only a sprinkling of men ( including my friends husband) A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
See from the posts that we are still talking snakes ugh.
Frank So sorry to hear about Ros' back looks as though she will just have to carry on with the painkillers. One of the girls I used to work with had some of her vertibrae fused and had to lie still in bed for days. She is a little better but it took ages for her to recover.
Congrats to Maureen and the new addition.
Kim Glad to hear that you are feeling better but do not overdo things please.
Has anyone got access to Anc**try as I do not subscribe but need some info??
It's pouring now goodie %3A-%29

Bet you are thrilled to bits, Glad both are doing well. The baby's name sounds a nice name, Lewis's best friend is called HARRY

Ros has just spoken to the Specialist's secretary who has given her the name of the new Pain Killers he wants her to go on "PREGABALIN" I bet nurse Jane will know about them. She is now trying to get hold of her Doctor to tell him, and try to get some ASAP.Gabapentin, that she's on now make her light headed. and feeling faint. So she only take the Minimum doseage.

Those King prawns sound great KIM, can you send some3 over PLEASE> %3A-%29 %3A-%29

You never said anything about the tooth Jane, is all well with it ????

Doing minced beef, in fried onion and gravy, Cabbage, carrots, and New potatoes. Quick and easy, and not much washing up.

Thank you all for your good wishes. Baby is being named after partner's grandad Harry. I shall be over to see them quite soon, give daughter a chance to recover first, they are not too far, Chessington.

That's the trouble with painkillers Frank they have some nasty side effects but probably the lesser of the two evils.

The garden looks like a bombs dropped on it so a lot of work to do.

Mandy Thanks so much. It's the Prescott family tree which can give me details of Annie Sinclair, her husband Joseph Woodhall and their son Alderson.
I think Annie died in 1969 and Alderson died in 2007.
The sun is now shining but ground is wet. Have made some scones.

Hi All
Congratulations Maureen on your new Grandchild baby Harry. glad mum & baby are fine.
Not been very nice here at all. still raining and windy. sorting out my clothes for the funeral on Monday, make sure I have my rain coat nearby.
Have had to go on Google to find out where the crematorium was, never been there before, My grandparents were cremated there back in the 60's but I wasn't at the funerals, must have been young and mum & dad didn't like to take children to funerals,

Daughter no 1 and Sofia due in 1/2 hour so I better do any jobs still to do , once they arrived I have no chance.

It's the best part of the day here now, sunshine and quite warm. Shorts been on since my shower this morning. They won't come off till bedtime.

Ros is sitting on her little stool, bending over the flower beds doing some weeding. She finds she is comfortable in that postion, and can do the weeding. It's when she stands up she will be in lots of pain. I keep telling her to come in and leave it, but she says "I'M ALLRIGHT" She will suffer later, I am sure.!!!!

Sorry Jane I thought you were at the dentist this morning. My broad beans are coming along fine. Do you pinch the tops out ??? to stop the black fly, or spray them.???

Maureen, Don't worry to much about the garden, that will all come together in good time. My Ex FIL was called Harry too.

Shirl, That was always my JOB. The bucket and shovel were left in the side alley, and if you wern't there before the other kids, you got earache from the old man !!!! He had piles of it at the bottom of the garden. I don't know why he didn't take his barrow down to the dairy, and collect it with all the straw in it. They had at least 10 horses in the stables.

When with the specialist yesterday. He said to Ros about having another SPINAL CORD STIMULATOR Fitted. Like she had before the car accident, and had to be removed. She is thinking about it, but it will mean opening her back up again. and I don't think will would be happy about that !!!

My mum told me her and her sister armed with a bucket and shovel. used to follow horses up the road and collect their droppings and then sell it to the neighbours for a halfpenny or penny a bucket load. :S

I remember Dad dashing out with the bucket and shovel ,usually at the weekends after the riding school horses had gone down the road.He got some good pickings lol.We must have had the best roses in the road.

Dentist shaved off some of the temporary crown ,so my bite now seems just about right. It feels a lot more comfortable now.Hopefully that will be it until I next have to go in July.
Coming out of the Dentist on London Rd opposite the Police station(you where Frank,I was in a line of traffic and all of a sudden there was an awful lot of smoke coming from a car up ahead.I couldn't see exactly what was happening ,but a young couple got out of the car in front of that one and flung open the drivers door. You should have seen the smoke then !!!!!!!.Fire engine arrived ,and then as I passed the driver of that car was still in the seat being looked after by a policeman. He didn't look too well.Maybe suffering from smoke inhalation.Poor man.

I don't know what Chris does with the Broad Beans Frank.I will ask him. They look very healthy at the moment(blast) lol.
It has been a nice day again and everything is Bone Dry.

Poor Ros Frank.I guess she will have to weigh up the pros and cons of having that op again on her back.

Anne I hope your head is better now.Maybe it was all the excitement of the Calender Girls lol.I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Ann,Fitz is thrilled with all the info and says another huge thankyou. He thinks you are amazing. He now has the address for Marita !!!
