Mandy I did feel a little tearful.I think it was the thought of Rachel all those miles away with no family of friends from home .I like to think her Mum will be looking down on her today, and to see her first Grand child. She would be so proud.
Well I had to get Chris to come and help me with watering Neighbours veg.The 4 water butts are empty, and it meant filling up watering can ,sticking them in a wheelbarrow and trundling right down the garden .The poor Runner beans don't look to good. There are some more in pots in their conservatory,so I think they will have to replace some of the sad looking ones.I have done my best ,but with no rain and no water in those butts I would have had to spend hours down there. They are home tomorrow afternoon thank goodness. At least all the plants ,potatoes in the bags, and baskets are all looking good. It is really quite hot now and windy. It almost feels a bit humid.
I need to get some washing on the go.
Fiona ,that is the great thing about driving somewhere for any type of occasion .You can take as many types of clothes ,coats etc as you want.I do hope though it is not a wet and windy day for the funeral.

Am off to son's soon, he's having a house warming come birthday party, so just waiting for a cab as I decided to let my hair down and have a few drinks.
Daughter has sent a few photos of Harry to my mobile, he weighed in at 8lb 4ozs. no wonder she was so huge !!!!!! this will be grandchild number 4 Kim, . Congratulations to surrogate grannie Jane, seems to be a lot of baby boys lately, like the name Ethan.
That is so upsetting when you lose a house you have set your heart on, I have only moved three times in the whole of my life, puts you off when so many things can go wrong.
Meant to mention that beautiful garden Frank, something for us all to aspire to, and your lovely moggy stretched out on his lawn, not a care in the world :-) :-) :-)

Enjoy letting your hair down Maureen! It's a nice day for a party.Have a great time. I like the name Ethan too.Is it a common one? I don't think I know anyone with an Ethan.I know when I named Hannah I thought it wasn't too common ,and then when she started school there were 3 Hannahs in the class lol.
Kim ,it may sound a silly question but do you eat a lot of Kangaroo ?I know a few years ago our Supermarkets were selling it.Not sure how well it sold.
I seem to have a funny head today.I think it might be all the pollen in the air.Chris is mowing the lawn and is kicking up a heck of a lot of dust.I just took a antihistamine tab to see if that helps.I did notice that Chester seems a bit itchy today so there must be something in the air.

Hi Everyone Just had a super lunch with MIL and gleaned lots more family infpormation. She was in good form today and suggested we go out more often. Have been reading some of the posts and I can assure you that it is not shorts weather here today. There is a strong wind and heavy cloud cover. Be warned Fiona the weather forcast is for heavy rain and strong winds on Monday so come prepared. Jane I think Ethan is a lovely name and I bet you were thrilled with the news.Maybe you will want to go visit mum and baby, it's a good excuse for a holiday. Am waiting for hubby to Skpe me then its off to watch the tele with a glass of something. Beback later ;-)

Fiona I think we will need to come with some water tankers, not buckets lol
Anne,I went to Dubai last year for the wedding with Hannah.I don't think I could splash out again to go again.Plus I couldn't stand the heat out there now. We will get to see them though in July when they come home for Rachel's Brothers wedding.Ethan will be 2 months old then. Mandy I think you are right Tony Blairs son is called Ethan. Is Toby flaked out today? Chester just keeps flopping down and snoring his head off lol

I have to say ,I always say it is pis***g it down David.Maybe I should say Cat's and Dogs..But there is still no sign of it doing anything like that at all here. Chris is as I speak watering everything in the garden with the hose pipe.
My sister has found another house.Hopefully this one will go through with no trouble. How is yours doing?

I thought I had better pop in, I don't want you worrying where I am !!!
Was in shorts as soon as I got up 8.00. Ros went out at 10.00. I went in the garden. Set another 15 tomato plants in two big tubs. So they will have plenty of room to grow. Just pottered about, had a read of my book. Did myself a full english brunch.
Showered and shaved, been out to collect our takaway. Have eaten and going to settle down for the evening
Great news for you Jane about the baby, as you say they are droping like "flys".
:D :D :D :D

Sister and BIL have just gone , and we all enjoyed our Chinese meal .
Jane, Toby does a lot of laying about now , i think it must be his age , he's always really tired if the little ones have been here for the day .
Liz, after i had said about Tony Blairs son being called Ethan i then wasn't sure if i was right , so thanks for putting me right lol
We always say it's pouring out there , but by the looks of the weather forecast we won't be saying it yet for a while !!
I watched the programme with Des , he does look good for his age ,and what a nice looking little boy they have .
Bed time , Night Night xx

Morning Mandy and all I hope Jake enjoys his birthday today, and all his presents.Happy Birthday Jake .
I think we may have a little drop of rain in the night. Not a lot ,just a little. But today you need to hang on to your hats and dresses. It is soooooo windy.I keep thinking the Gazebo will take off.
Chris is out with Chester and I have got some hoovering done .It is so much easier to do it without the dog barking and trying to bite the hoover lol I think I had better just do one last check on my neighbours outdoor plants and make sure nothing has taken off or upturned in the night.Fingers crossed !

Morning Mandy, Morning Jane I'm not mentioning the weather today, but all I will say is no change. I love children's birthdays, hope you have a lovely time , Happy Birthday Jake,
I'm ready for church now so I can relax a little, not leaving for a while yet,
Talking of time passing by, It's daughter no 1 3rd Wedding Anniversary on Tuesday. I remember back to that day in Italy it was fantastic weather, hot but manageable, excited but also nervous not knowing what to expect, I had never been to a wedding in a different country before. :D
Well I will go now and sort out my bag and shoes and coat, BBL

Hello all,
It's been a lovely day here about 23 degrees. Keith painted some of the outside of the house - looking much better. I sat on the driveway and weeded a portion of the bed for about an hour. We have had leaking gutters, so that section was soft and everything came out easily. Lots of lovely worms doing their job and not a horrible crawlie in sight.
I was sore and sorry afterwards, but felt as though I had achieved something. It had been bugging me for ages.
Mandy have a lovely day. Would Jake be a grandson? Jane not sure if I asked before, you might have answered, but what sort of dog is Chester?
Fiona, what part of Italy was the wedding? Have always wanted to go there, would love to see Rome.
Watching Dancing with the Stars, next couple due.
