Hi everyone,
Family all gone home ,
Kim My daughter's wedding was in FANO which is on the Adriatic Coast line on the right side of Italy. My SIL comes from FANO
If you look at a map of Italy look for PISA which is on the left go straight across and you will come to FIRENZE(Florence) then in a straight line you will come to FANO.
Fano is a Roman town , the old part of the town is very beautiful with many old churches and arches. We have photo's taken of my daughter and SIL in the old part of Fano on their wedding day.

Quotation no 29

<3 God gives us our relatives, but thank heaven we can choose our friends <3

Mel, your OH seems to be able to turn his hand to most things. It is all coming on very well and looking good. The millstone looks as if it has always been there. I have helped do some of that random walling in granite at my last house......its like doing a jigsaw, turning and trying the rock this way and that.....not easy or quick to do. Will you put seperate flat roof on it or will it slope up to the rest of the roof. I can't wait to see it when it's finished. :-) I see you have concreted it level too where that big root was!! lol

Hope all goes well and it will be nice to chat tomorrow with the folks you haven't seen for a long time Fiona even though it is a sad occasion. Hope it stays dry for you.

Yes Jane loved the birds too. I nearly bought a chicken like those once.

Have you managed to open the pics yet Jane?

Ann seems to have had them alright and I sent them after yours.

It has been busy since last night, I'm trying to catch up on all your posts.

Fiona thanks for that information I will be able to Google all those names. Have a safe trip there and back.

Mandy so good that you enjoyed Jake's birthday tea. We always had to buy Miranda a little something when it was Joel's birthday, so she wouldn't be "put out".

Jane thanks for the Royal Jersey explanation. They have had a mentioned a few times and I wondered what they were. Poor little bird, do you think he fell out of the nest with all that wind you are having?

The treadmill is just right for me as I can hang on and then rest as I need to. I used to overdo it - hour at a time with a cracking pace. No wonder I relapsed!!!!!!

We have had heavy overnight rain. There is a watery sun and it is much cooler today, but the drops are glistening on the leaves and everything looks that much fresher. Joel has caught the cold doing the rounds of our house and won't be able to make his TAFE presentation tonight. He was to receive the Cert. IV for his course - currently doing the diploma and begins the advanced diploma in two months. Who knows where it will lead - somewhere I hope, lol :D

My daughter went over to the local shops to check in with her casual employer (K-mart) regarding shifts and being ill. She was supposed to come back and study for these exams, but she has taken off to Forresters Beach with her friend :-( :-( :-( (next suburb along from us). She also has a follow up appt. today with the hospital, but now Keith has had to go chasing after her to get there on time. Oh I'm not impressed!!!!! Teachers are bending over backwards to accommodate and help her with the work and she is swanning around everywhere. That's my whinge for today. :D

Hair dresser coming tomorrow to cut my hair (I think unless her daughter is still sick). I will need to have my shower before it gets too cold.

Wishing you all a happy and productive day, when you wake up.

Hello Shirley are you around today? I have no idea what time it is in Canada.

Bye for now, Kim Oh Mel I couldn't view your photos, but Keith is going to put WinZip on the computer for me and then I'll see them.

Just thought of a childhood memory. I can remember going to Luna Park on Sydney Harbour when I was about two with mum, dad and the boys. We were in side-show alley and dad knocked down all the bottles with three balls. He got top score and had the pick of the prizes. He asked me what I wanted and I picked out an old cardboard cowgirl hat trimmed with gold. Oh no - you can imagine the horror. Didn't I want a huge bear or the big doll or this and that - no I wanted that stupid hat. The proprietor patted my dad on the back and said mate I'm so sorry, but you did ask her. Why didn't you have 3 boys instead. Why indeed!!!!

Off to have a cuppa and then that shower. He nearly threw me in the drink :D :D :D

Morning KIm and all.
Well it sounds like we have a howling animal at the back door ,but it is the WIND! It is pretty strong.

Mel I can't open your emails. It must mean I'm not compatible or something.

I can't really remember going to the fair as a child.I think it was because I was scared of rides.I do remember liking the candyfloss though. The only ride I ever liked and still do today is the carousel with the horses on poles that rise up and down. The last time I went on one was a few years ago in Covent Garden with my sister. We looked a right sight trying to clamber up with our bags of shopping and handbags strung around our necks lol

I need to go to town now so will BBL

Morning All,

Dull and windy here, overcast too. OH has washed out the arc for me but I still only have two chicks this morning.

For opening pics I have Adobe Reader which We find really good.

Kim hope hubby found your daughter ok! Would it be poss for you to put your time at the bottom of your messages please. We had Tony in oz who used to post that way and it gave us a clue as to what time line you live in. Thanks. I would most probably have chosen the cowboy hat too.

Don't know yet if I am going shopping today or not, shall see how I feel a bit later.

Dreamt again last night about an old man in a pony and trap who was driving along and his wheel came off. It was so rusty I was not surprized. Anyway I asked him if he wanted a lift into town. Don't know what I was thinking leaving the poor pony attached to the trap at the side of the road all on it's own!! Come to think of it why was the wheel rusty when it was made of wood?

Hi EWveryone from a very stormy Yorkshire. I hope Fiona has had a safe journey as it is supposed to be even worse further north. I have moved all the garden furniture to stop it blowing away and left the washing in the conservatory for the same reason.
Outside I can hear a scrap merchant somewhere calling "rag and bone" which brings back memories of staying with my grandparents in a Durham mining village. They seem to have reemerged recently here and I think they come down from Durham, must be connected to the recession.
They always seem to have old washing machines and fridges on the lorries so I suppose it saves paying the council to take them away. Do you have anything similar elsewhere?
Guess its time for lunch
;-) ;-)
