I see we are back on track again.I lost the post I had already typed, and now can't remember what I said lol
Yes Ann it was the Chinese !It was quite busy there partly because of the nice food ,but probably more to do with the all you can eat for (it's either £6.95 or £7.95) Frank I had one glass of wine and one glass of water. No a drop was spilled lol The restaurant is on the Horse Market opposite Beddows.(Isn't that where you used to work )? Guess what.I'm not hungry lol.For Chris and Hannah it is Baked potatoes with a mixture of bacon, asparagus, peas and creme fraiche.I have added a few diced mushrooms too.I may just have a teeny weeny bit.

Been out shopping after all. I had only got up to the meat counter in the first isle and was tapped on the shoulder. It was aunty Joy, mums sister and I had been wondering if I would see her as I know she shops there on a Thursday. Anyway offered to take her home as she dos'nt drive and usually gets a taxi. Well we talked for about 20 mins as she did'nt seem to want to stop gassing. Then did my shopping and when I got to the checkouts Joy was on the end one so did'nt have to wait long. My Q took ages as there was a man on the till and he did'nt help pack the bags like the girls do. anyway while I was packing Joy came over and said look whose behind you!! It was her eldest daughter, Janet. So once again a natter.
I still can't get into this site any other way than going to one of your pm's and getting in that way!! I see you have been having trouble with the site from your messages to me.

Oh, What have they been upto Showing Page No 556. but with page 1 of the "NEW" thread. Couldn't get on site. Reported it to GENES so they must have got it back on track.
No Jane, Beddows was my mate that passed away. I dealt with him in the 60s with Finance, for his cars when he first started. Were pals with l the family ever since. I have been to the Chinese in Market street. Is that the same one ???? We have a Chinese in town that we go to with Lewis Eat as much as you like for about £7.00 and £4.00 for Lewis. but that will stop soon, as he is starting to fill out and grow. He's a small 12 year old, bit fit as the Butchers DOG.
Mel, It is surprising how many people you bump into in the supermarket, We sometimes see people who we haven't seen for years. Especially my old Customers, that I sold cars to.
We have had RAIN, all day. sometimes just bouncing of the Road and Patio. Realy given the garden a good drink. You can almost see the colour change in the lawn.
Rain in Canada to, I see. Have you got your water wings on Shirl???? You can't help being senile, You silly old Bugg##
Kim, I can just hear yuou now, you have a new word. It will go round your friends very quickly and soon spread all over AUSTRALIA. You can then take the credit for a new word in that Country. !!!! Hope you enjoy the LEEK PIE.
I did a roast chicken, Roast pots, parsnips, cauli (with cheese sauce) runner beans and carrots with a nice onion gravy. for dinner tonight. All cleared away and dish washer on.
Ros is a little bit more comfortable this evening. Thank you all for your concern it is nice to know you care !!!!
:D :D :D

Evening everyone, We've had heavy showers here all day , lovely not to have to water for a change . Had DIL and the little ones here today , we've been shopping and they stayed for tea .
Jane, thanks for the photo ,what a dear little boy he is , and wide awake too, he looks like he as some dark hair peeping from under his little hat .
Kim, well done to Joel for passing his test , i bet he was chuffed !! ( that means pleased ) Had a giggle over the thought of your dad upsetting the turkeys !! LOL
Fiona, we have a bit of a squeeze with the high chair too , they seem to take up a lot of room with the legs of the chair !! DIL likes to have the chair next to her so she can help Katie to eat , although Katie likes to feed herself now , but she will not use the spoon , she picks the food up with her fingers !!! her little faced gets covered !!!
Frank, i hope the new tablets will help Ros's pain , not nice to see some one you love crying with pain like that .
Shirl, not more rain for you !!! and thunder too , we were supposed to have thunder today , but so far i haven't heard any , DIL hates storms , i love to look out the window at the lightening .
DIL's sisters little girl broke her arm yesterday in two places !! she's only six !! she had to have an op today to pin the bones , and because she had a loose tooth they had to take it out because of the op !! poor little mite !!
Time for a coffee , i always feel whacked after the little ones have been , they certainly keep you on your toes .

The meeting at the council was very good and there was 100% vote to refuse the application to build on the field. Objections from several Departments. Hooray!! It is not just green wedge it is one step up, protected green wedge. Interesting with it being 1 field away from the Fosse Way, it said the applicant failed to demonstrate there wouldn't be unacceptable loss of buried archaeological remains !! I want a metal detector for my birthday now. lol Back to Plan A with the garden again now.
We talk about 'faffing about', but mum would have said something else................. 'fannying about'!!!! lol Does it ring any bells SHIRL???? lol :-)

I hate storms like your DIL too Mandy. When I was about 6 a thunderbolt dropped on the hedge over the road and left a big hole in it. I remember being quite frightened looking at it. Then as a teenager a local sub station was struck by lightning and it burnt our house wiring out. I remember the black scorch marks around the fuse and meter boxes under the stairs. The only place I feel relaxed in a storm is in the car with those nice rubber tyres under me.

Mandy, your little Katie sounds just like my independent Sofia, not 2 years old yet , but wants to do every thing her way. like Katie Sofia wants to feed herself , great when it is ok to pick up veg that can be cut into small chunks , we are running out of different veg that she likes and can pick up herself, we tend to rely on her old favourite PEAS. she loves all fruit which is great for eating with the fingers,
I'm off to watch Long Lost Families will be back later.

Shirl you faff in Canada and I'll faff in Bateau Bay. I used it today - my daughter didn't have a clue what I was talking about, haha. I would normally say "stop fart-a**ing around and get on with it". We are going to have a "faffing" good time from now on :D :D :D
Sunny here today, got my washing out, but not much warmth in the sun for drying and then the black clouds came over about 3.30 pm, so I transferred it all to the garage.
Keith was out to lunch today with a couple of other brokers. He had a pot pie, with chips and salad, yum, at an outdoor restaurant "Cheeky Charlie's". Google Bateau Bay and have a look at my area, if you are interested.
Must away, dinner is nearly ready.

Morning All,
Just caught up with your posts. Kim I had a look at Bateau Bay on Wiki. Looks lovely. Such blue sea!!
OH has done some more of the new build after trying to get the cement mixer to work as when his brother was here helping he pulled all the wires out of the motor and it put all our eletric out. I wonder if thats what was making him cross at the begining of the week? The mixer is not ours but the friends who looked after our livestock while we were away. They borrow our trailer to pick up horse feed in return!! We like a bit of bartering.
Dry this morning but a bit overcast. Last night I put washing on the line late and could'nt be bothered to bring it in as it was just as wet. Then at one point it fell out the sky but this morning it feels about as wet as when I put it out.
My old red roses on the top wall are all in flower and doing quite well considering they are about 20 years old. They only flower once.
Not caught any bunnies lately but have seen about 5 big ones jumping around through the top archway into the veg garden. OH says they are too far away to shoot.

Evening Kim Morning Mel lol :-)
Maureen got your pics of Finley , wow don't you to look alike ,he is fairly growing, hard to believe he's already 15 months old.
Sun has been out this morning but not for long and there is still that wind, that wind spoils everything especially when it rains, if it would stay dry I could get some washing on the line. Daughter no 2 coming to stay over night tomorrow as boyfriend is going to Dundee with some pals,
Oh got a phone call in Paris yesterday from one of the ladies in his office in Glasgow, she was very upset as her sister (58) passed away sometime during Tuesday night. she had been unwell , but not life threatening so it has come as a huge shock, unfortunately the poor woman has now the terrible decision of what will happen to her mother who was living with her sister as her mother has dementia. the woman herself is on her own and has no other relatives near by and has a full time job, and has lived on her own for the last 16 years after being divorced, she wants OH to go round and sort out her sisters fish tank, she does not want it, and the mother cannot look after it. I think it could also be a cry for help as she used to load all her worries onto OH when he was working full time in the office
coffee time BBL

Morning everyone. I still couldn't get on here early this morning .GR was still doing things.I gave up last night and just turned the pooter off. I watched lost families and just managed to stay awake until the end.
It's been all go this morning.Last night Hannah was having trouble with one of her contact lenses.Said she couldn't get it out.Anyway she made her eye all sore and red by digging around,so decided she would pop into Boo** opticians this morning before getting the train to London.I had to drive her.So i was up with the lark, walked Chester and was in town by 8.45. When the lady had a look in Hannahs eye ,there was no Lens !!!!!!! She had been trying to flip it out when it wasn't even there lol.So she came away with some drops and told not to put any lens in until tomorrow. Dropped her off at the station and then went to Tes**.I picked up some dishwasher tablets which were half price. But when I checked the receipt it still showed £14 .I went to customer services and ,I couldn't believe it ,but I was refunded the whole £14 and came away with 40 free tablets !! Brilliant . I normally never check my bill. Just going to have a quick coffee

Hello all,
I have just taken all your photos with help from OH and put them all into a folder. Mel I have just seen your impressive building for the first time - had to install Winzip to view them. Your garden is lovely and everything so green!!! How much land would you be on? The beaches along our stretch are very pretty with lots of picnic areas and lookouts.
Frank you are a sweetheart :-) Ros will love her earrings and flowers for sure and it will cheer her up too. I do hope her pain has eased. Sussex Inlet would be about 5 hours south of here. I have been there a few times, such a pretty place and very popular with retirees. They either come up here or go down south. The coast where I live is becoming over populated and lost a lot of its appeal. They are carving up and tearing down all over the place. Sydney folk come up here for a holiday and find it is just the same as what they have just left. Too much power to too many developers!!!!
Annx that is a great win for the community and the heritage of the area. The State Government here wants to build public housing at The Entrance North on flood prone land. It is crazy when the area is inundated time and time again with King tides and the like; any heavy rain and it is under water again. My friend and her son appeared on the current affair programme that was covering the story. I had a giggle as they were meant to look appropriately "upset" and everyone was trying very hard not to smile.
Time for a cuppa, now I am in a real faff as to what to watch on tv.
Bye for now, Kim
Frank my birthday is coming up soon. Can I have some flowers too??? lol Happy days!!
:-) :-)

Fiona, that poor Lady will have a very difficult decision to make won't she.How sad her sister dying so young and unexpectedly like that.Especially as there are no other family members.I guess she has 2 choices. To either give up work and take the place of her sister or find a nice home for her Mum.We both know how hard that will be.
Ann that it good about your field. As you said you can now get back to your original plans for the garden.
Frank,Chris says to tell you he has pinched out the top of the Broad Beans lol
Now I am going to go and Goolge Bateau Bay Kim.
