Afternoon everyone,
Just had some big old spots of rain ,now bright sunshine !!
Kim you must be getting our share of the rain , we've had very little here , we have to keep watering everything , must have been quite a storm to have lost your roof , frightening too. The Ear Migraine doesn't sound very nice ,your poor boy must be very painful for him .
Mel , i can remember the song Little Man You've Had A Busy Day , mum used to sing that one.
Oh so it was a stroke you had then Frank , i don't know why they carn't take the blood while your there ,we always have to go back too, well at least its down in your notes about nobody coming out to see you. You must take it easy for a while Frank, listen to Ros , us ladies know best you know !!!LOL Ros will have to tie you to your chair.
winds got up ,blowing in some rain hopefully .
BBL
Phew !!!!!!!!! all i can smell is Garlic LOL

Hang in there Frank. Mussels in garlic butter, sounds good to me. I seem to have this fixation on food since joining this thread. You all eat so well!!! I'm hungry all the time, lol :-) And for goodness sake, do as you're told ;-) Another long wait until next week for your tests, you must be feeling very frustrated. Take it easy!!!!
Do you get the show Bondi Vet over there at all? It's well worth a google just to have a look at Dr. Chris Brown - oooooooooo he's a hunk as well as being an excellent vet. This is for the ladies of the group, well the fellas can have a look too.
It is now 10.55 pm and I'm off to the couch for some viewing. The rain has eased, but the wind is supposed to whip up again tomorrow.
I hear it is hailing in parts of Scotland and large trees are falling over. Summer's coming - tomorrow.
Cheery bye all. Kim

Hi Mandy,
It's been so wet - broken records in many areas and flash flooding all over the place. Not too cold though. Washing's in the garage to dry. I'd be lost if I didn't have those indoor lines.
Yes, the ear thing is strange. It's been going on since he was 7 - just started one day and went from there. At least we can manage the attacks (if he can pull himself away from the laptop, lol).
Chocolate and telly now. tata

What's that whiff ????? Oh Hello Frank!! lol Ros must have the Patience of a saint with you.I hope she has super glued you to your seat.
No rain here at all,and all my washing is dry.Trouble is I now have another pile to iron.I think I will carry on and see if I can get it all done today. I am still waiting for that package to arrive so can't go out.Not that I really need to ,but I would like the evening paper. Just picked some more of those diddy carrots and some Swiss Chard to go with dinner. After seeing Polly and her red drawers I have had the name Polly on my mind Polly had a Dolly who was sick sick sick She called for the Doctor to be quick quick quick
(I can't remember the rest of it) Cup of tea time now before I start that next lot of ironing.

Now I know why they say garlic is good for you and keeps colds at bay, nobody else is going to come near you after eating garlic ....lol. I'm not surprised the doc never said anything about the awful response to the 999 call Frank, they do tend to stick together.
How old is your lad now Kim, they say every seven years the body changes when you're young so if he's coming up to 14, fingers crossed it will disappear altogether, sounds horrid, ear ache alone is so painful.
I used to sing this to my girls in the morning when I'd go in their room and pull the curtains back:
Rise and shine, sleepy Joe Now´s the time, don´t you know To get into a new kind of dream You´ve been living alone With no Bell telephone And you don´t have a shirt that is clean
You can rest your head on the corner of your bed You can watch the world go by But you never gonna see what the other people see If you´re always gonna be a sleepy Joe.
Rise and shine, sleepy Joe There are places to go There are windows to clean on the way You´ve got nothing to loose But a shine on your shoes Do the best things you can every day
You can get upset, at the way the people get You can turn your back on the crowd But you never gonna see what is absolutely real If you´re always gonna be a sleepy Joe
La la la .... sleepy Joe ....
There is much more but they were up and out of the room before I could finish, must have been my singing ...... :-D

I've been out in the garden sweeping the leaves from the Honeysuckle ,they've got behind all my pots, and all round the back door, turned the hose on and the connector on the tap moved somehow and out sprayed the water all over my head as i was bending down !!! soaked the front of my hair LOL
Here you go Jane , i sing this to the little ones !!
Miss Polly had a dolly Who was sick, sick, sick, So she called for the doctor To be quick, quick, quick; The doctor came With his bag and his hat, And he knocked at the door With a rat-a-tat-tat.
He looked at the dolly And he shook his head, And he said "Miss Polly, Put her straight to bed." He wrote out a paper For a pill, pill, pill, "That'll make her better, Yes it will, will, will!"

Hi all,
Have been sitting watching the recordings of Robson Green Extreme Fishing, passed away a hour or so.
I get feed up just sitting around, I feel as I could drop off to sleep. But I mustn't do that or I won't sleep tonight.
Ros is in the garden, on her little seat. planting more plants and TOMATO plants. Have made her a cup of tea. Thanks very much she said, now go in doors and rest !!!!
We had had a reasonable day here so far. Very warm in the sun. We had a slight shower this morning. A friend rang to see how I was, and said they had,had a Hail storm in Northampton, only 4 miles away.
Chicken portions, done in the oven, then finished off on the hob, to give it a bit of colour, Ros will do Rice and Veg. out of the freezer. one of Bird# eye's very tasty and quick to do. She cookied Sunday dinner, the firsat time for many years, It was so good, I said she could get a regular job on Sunday's :-D :-D The second word was OFF !!!! She thought she had forgotten how to cook Sunday Roast, as it's been so long.
Harvey, Julia and Lewis are in France this week, at their static caraven home. The will be so surprised to hear about me. !!!! Conrad was here on Sunday. His partner Jan, was in Spain for a wedding, she should be back tonight.
Kim, is this normal weather for you at this time of year.???? Hope your son grows out of this ear trouble. Must be a pain for him (no pun meant !!!) also a worry for you.
We always did when mine were small also to Lewis when we had him as a baby More little songs." Go to sleep my baby" close those pretty eyes.. Do Mums still sing to their babies ????
Don't know what happened there but you will understand it, I'm sure. !!!

Evening all Glad you are OK Frank, blood tests-I have to go to see the nurse on Thursday for another one. Our doctors don't do them they pass you to the nurse for almost everything these days.
Not been great myself today, feeling very tired and have had a rotten tension headache most of the day. Probably due to all the upset over the weekend. Had to wait till it eased off before I could come on here.
Frank I used to sing Rock a bye baby to Sofia when she was younger. Now she plays DVD after DVD of nursery Rhymes, she knows what song is coming next and can show you all the actions.
Waiting to hear from daughter no 2 to see if she is coming for dinner, Boyfriend going away with some friends for a few days so daughter going to stay at our house Wed, Thurs and Friday nights, will be like having her home again HELP!!!!! :-D

25 degrees Maureen! Goody Goody. It will be nice after this weekend washout. I had a good weeding session in the veg patch earlier. The peas looked like they were being overtaken .Lots of pods now,so not long before I an pick some. 2 cucumbers look just about ready. It will be so nice not to pay a fortune for all the veg.I keep meaning to keep track of how much a week I spend on veg,but forget to do it. Our runners look a bit iffy at the moment.I hope they pick up.
Still waiting for Chris's phone to arrive!!.I did have another package that I had to sign for and that is his new suit for James Graduation and the wedding of Rachels brother in July.I just need something to wear !!!!!.Everything seems to be Maxi Dresses or sleeveless.I'm too short for Maxis and need some kind of sleeve to help cover my Bingo wings lol
Thanks for Miss Polly Mandy ! :-)

Nice to see they let you come home Frank!!! At our doctors they seem to have a nurse for blood pressures, another for blood tests etc. Much more toing and froing than there ever used to be. Same for prescription renewals. Not very 'green' is it. Like Ros, I don't do Sunday lunch either.........but I do sometimes do one in the week. I see you are feeling better...........scraping your arm now!!!
Saw something I've never seen before when driving along a lane this afternoon. A huge Crow was on the roadside verge and had something in it's beak. Occasionally you see them fly off with a beakful and I have always thought it was carrion or a big slug/snail. I got a good look as it was so close and saw it wriggle, then saw a tiny ear.......it was a live mouse!!!
OH fetched 6 bags of slate chippings in the car this morning. They weighed the car well down so he raised the pneumatic suspension like you are supposed to do. He's just hoping he can get it back down again when he goes out tomorrow (it should self adjust when you press the button, but on a previous car got stuck!!) otherwise we'll be up in the air!!

Been having a bit of a clearup indoors as the man is supposed to be coming tomorrow to see to the BT Vision box.
Then went up the tunnel and watered and OH has the pump on to fill my big tank.
Frank is it a fasting blood test you have to have? Naughty boy scraping your arm like that. I am not surprised Ros sent you indoors to rest. Have you done any more to your tree lately?
Fiona sorry you don't feel too good either. As you say must be all the stress and strain you have been going through. Hope you feel better tomorrow.
Jane Tanton's in Bideford had a fire this morning at 4am. The police heard two pensioners shouting for help up on the roof. They have had the road closed all day. Don't know if you will get it on your news. There were 50 residents in the hotel but nobody was hurt. A man has been arrested with conection to it. It sounds like he started it in his room.

Hi Everyone A lovely day today and we have had tea in the garden. Hubby did salmon on the BBQ and it was lovely. As the weather forcast is so good we have decided to have a weekend away so I am looking at possible places to stay. Been to do my duty at TIC this morning and we were quite busy. Afterwards I had my hair cut and then spent an hour at MIL,s So pleased to here that Frank is safely at home and cannot believe that he did not have a visit at the weekend from the DR.You just take care Frank and do as Ros tells you!! It is lovely to read the words of all those old songs. Have to admit that Twinkle twinkle little star was my lullaby of choice and I still sing it to Hazel althoughDIL sings songs from The Sou*d of Mus*c to both the girls. :-)

On that note I am going off to bed and will try and lose myself in my book. Night Night All xx

I remember Miss Polly too, used to sing that when I was at school with my skipping rope. If my dad had a few under the belt, which was quite often, he would sing "It had to be you" by Cranky Franky (not our Frank of course) and Heart of my Heart, which is a really old one. I had the organist play that at his funeral, we were lucky she found the sheet music for it.
We can have these storms Frank , although Sydney and the mountains usually gets all the hail. By the time it reaches here, the ferocity is usually gone. We are somewhat sheltered as the storms tend to go out to sea. We also get the tail-end of Queensland's cyclones which stirs up the swells, but this one has come across the continent from Western Australia. Last winter was very dry and cold, 2009 was very mild. I think we are in for a wet winter this year.
Joel turns 21 in September; would be good if he could grow out of this particular ailment. Just like a migraine only in the ear, with all the other horrid symptoms.
Twenty-five degrees by the weekend, enjoy everyone :-)
Maureen I like the words to the "sleepy Joe" song. Have never heard that one before either.
Watched the Four Corners (current affairs) programme last night after I left you all. It was about the live export of cattle to Indonesia. I have never cried so much - the inhumane, cruel way the cattle are slaughtered was too much. Have you had the story in your press in the last couple of days? The torture that went on was disgusting. I'm hoping there will be enough protesting to ban live exports as was done with Egypt. The Government is gutless to allow this to continue. I can't get those scenes from my head!!! It was filmed by an ex policewoman, who also filmed the Halal slaughter in Egypt. Hopefully, her good work can bring about major changes again.
Fiona I hope you will be feeling better when you wake. I think the stress has caught up with you.
I have sent a few emails off to Shirl, filling her in on your condition Frank. She has gone off to see her cousin today who has bone cancer. I have lost a few friends to that condition, over the years.
OH is off to Woy Woy tonight to attend a superannuation seminar. He is taking one of his clients, so I hope it will be beneficial for them. At least the wind has dropped, don't think it's raining tonight. We are supposed to get some fine weather over the next few days, fingers crossed.
We are off to Norah Head tomorrow for some brunch. It is just north of here, about 20 minutes. There is a lighthouse there as well, still in operation and beautiful views across the water towards Crackneck. The little cafe does a delicious Devonshire tea, so I'm really looking forward to that.
Off to watch the news now. It is 6.00 pm EST. Back later folks, bye for now. Kim

Morning and whats all this with the little faces today??
Did'nt see them yesterday.
Also my pages where we write has a line running down it about a third of an inch in, in old money.
Cloudy skies but quite bright.
I had to take a chick away from the two mums yesterday as Henny Penny kept pecking it. It is the last one hatched and she has pecked off the down on its back and its little wing is hanging down a bit. It is in the lopunge in that yelow plastic box I used to raise Henny and the other two, with the desk lamp over it.
OH did quite a bit yesterday on the new build.
The BT man has been and gone and told OH you have to reboot the box if you have a power cut and hold in three buttons! It dos'nt say anything at all about 3 buttons in the instructions for restarting it and nobody said anything about that when we spoke on the phone the other day. :-(
