Morning Mel
What's happen to your faces mine are ok apart from the one sticking it's tongue out, it's called tongue now used to be smile?
Feeling much better today, slept pretty good too. meeting friends for coffee at 11, then at 1.30 talking Sofia to her pre-school music class, if she stays awake, she fell asleep at 1.15 the other week so we could not go and she didn't wake till 3.00, mind you it was nice and peaceful managed to get a few chapters read of my book while she slept on the settee.
Dull, cloudy and windy and threatening rain.

Morning All Glad you had a good sleep Fiona. It makes all the difference doesn't it. Mel poor little chick.Do you think it's wing will be alright?
Kim I couldn't have watched that programme you saw.I would have been inconsolable .It's strange but i can watch things which are terribly upsetting with people, but cannot watch any animal programmes at all.Especially those Vet ones like the one you see.
I see people have been arrested after the showing of that Panorama prog last night.Good thing too. They were wicked evil people. It is a beautiful day.lovely blue sky and a gentle breeze.I think I will change the bedding this morning and get it back on the bed this afternoon smelling all lovely and fresh. We are out for a meal tonight ,and I realised how desperate my hair is for a colour. So I have managed to get an appointment for 1.45 :-D :-D

Jane I'm not good with any animal programmes either. I had my eyes closed most of the time, but felt I needed to know what was happening. I signed a petition with well over 140,000 signatures to get it banned. It is being presented to the Minister for Agriculture tomorrow afternoon. The might of the public could just turn this around.
Very glad you liked those pics. I get some very nice emails from time to time, as well as the rubbish which I try not to pass on. Some are really funny though.
Mel do you think you'll be able to save the little chick? Poor wee thing <3

Afternoon everyone, Nice and sunny here ,been to the car boot this morning , bought two Lilliput Lane Cottages to add to my collection , Chine cottage for £3 and a bigger one called Cradle Cottage for £5 ,so i was happy as they would have cost a lot more to buy new .
I don't like the animal programmes with the cruelty ,have to switch off , did anyone read about that poor little dog in Malta ,poor thing had its legs bound ,was shot in the head several times and then buried !!! the poor thing managed to dig its self out and there have been offers of new homes for it . My friend brought a dog home from Malta that had been tied up for days on end ,there was another dog with it that died , she spent a fortune on bringing it home with here ,its now a very happy little dog with a loving owner . The look on the little dogs face when she first saw the snow !! LOL
Got to get a new mouse this one is not working all the time keeps freezing on me .

Nice sunny day, ironing all done, car fixed, so all in all things looking pretty good.
Glad you are feeling better Fiona, a good nights sleep makes all the difference.
Kim, Sleepy Joe is a song by Herman's Hermits, probably from the 60's, you may not have heard of him in Australia but I think he was quite big in America.
Fingers crossed daughter will make it here tomorrow with baby Harry, third time lucky hopefully. I haven't seen him yet and he's nearly 2 weeks old.
Mandy, your mouse may be like mine and just need new batteries, or yours may not have batteries. My phones kept beeping and when I told my son he said new batteries, I didn't even realise they had batteries.

More settled now, been sitting all day in the conservatory reading my books. and supplying Ros with TEA. as she trundles on with the garden.
Can't abare curelty to animals in any shape or form. I would hang them by their thumbs, and let the public at them. Like in the olden days. They are not fit to breath GODS air. It seems that in many parts of Europe it is second nature to beat and ill treat animals. I know when we were in Malta, we came across a cat with kittens. Every time we went for a meal we asked for a "Doggy Bag" and would go and feed them. Ros would find a plastic tray and fill it with water also. Don't know how they went on after we left, but we did help them to get some food.
Ros is still in the garden, I found a cushion for the little seat. She says it's better than sitting on hard plastic. !!!Sore Bum.
Been a fair day here but very overcast, but warm. Have been in my shorts all day , have put a tee shirt on in the last hour.
Will get the hose out later (IF SHE LETS ME) and water the plants, she has put in. Easier than getting the watering cans out. !!!!
Might see you later.

Afternoon All,
I have watched Bondi Vet before Kim, we get it here on cable tv. I'm like you, I hate seeing the cruelty that happens to animals, but feel I have to watch otherwise I feel like I'm burying my head in the sand. A little dog is up for rehoming at the rescue centre in a nearby village. Poor thing had been stabbed 13 times. Sometimes I wonder about the human race!!!
Glad you got your car fixed Maureen. I always think of all the places I want to go when mine is off the road. lol I bet after 2 weeks you are really looking forward to seeing baby Harry. Decking all finished yet?
Glad to see you on here again Frank. Those shakes you get must be horrid. Ros is gardening in comfort and STYLE now then!! lol :-)
We had some salmon (bet Jane's going euugggh! lol) with Jersey pots and salad tonight. Our own lettuce, rocket and radish......lovely and crunchy.
We were going up to Leigh to stay overnight tomorrow. OH wanted to see a Rugby match and the massive garden centre is there (for me!). There is a nature reserve over the road from the hotel we wanted to look at too. We have now decided to go a bit later in the year .........half term and the expected heat has put us off. lol

Hope you enjoy your evening and meal Jane.......nice to try a new place at times......oh my, the menu looks good!
Mandy I have one of those Lilliput cottages. The detail on them is brilliant. How many do you have?
Mel, your box sounds like my washing machine when it gets an error message!! Press this and that together, after the 3rd beep press that and the other together etc. You need 2 pairs of hands.......as you say nothing in the instruction books telling you what to do!!

Hope Jane and Chris have a nice meal tonight.
The chick is doing ok but I think it is a bit lonely. I keep going in and picking it up and giving it a little tickle behind the ear and it closes its eyes. At least there is no blood on its back now but I don't know if the down will grow back or if it will just get its feathers a bit later on.

I need a lie down now lol.All showered, mascara, perfumed and dresses.I can't be faffed with putting eye makeup on now.I would proably get it all in the wrong places anyway. Ann is that the dog I heard about on the news the other day? Poor little thing. What I would do to those people can't be repeated on here. Where is Leigh? I hope you have a nice stay. Do you know your travel plans yet for next Thursday? I hope we get nice weather.
Mandy my Sister used to collect Lilliput Cottages.I don't know what she has done with them all as I haven't seen them for years in her house.I am wondering if she has sold them.
We have huge trouble with Magpies here at the moment.i think they are trying to get at all the nests. The noise is dreadful.
I see on the news we are the driest part in the country, and it is the driest Spring in a Hundred years !!
Ann the Menu does look nice doesn't it.I don't feel terribly hungry at the moment, but maybe when we get there and I smell the cooking I might get a tummy rumble.I didn't have much at lunch time so i should be ready for it lol
It feels quite muggy this evening,so I have a short sleeve top on and won't be taking a jacket . I better go now ,and clean my teeth and put the old lippy on.

What a lovely day. Been shopping in town this morning and washing this afternoon. Have also washed our bedding and it is now ironed and back in the airing cupboard. Jane Yes we do have a lot of BBQ's and spend as much time as we can outdoors. We also have decided not to go away this weekend when we reolised it was half term. Instead we are going to a local garden tomorrow called The Himalayan Garden which is quite unique in this area. It is only open for a short time each year and, as its name suggests. features rhododendrons, azeleas, and eucryphia amongst others. We try to visit every year and I am really looking forward to it. We have also ordered tickets for a concert in Richmond on saturday evening which is part of the Swaledale Festival so we will be out and about in the good weather. Frank Sorry to hear that you are having the shakes. It is taking time for your system to settle down, please continue to take care.I always log onto the thread in the way you descrbed is there another way please? I told you that I am useless with computers!!!! :-S

Have a good evening Jane , i looked at the menu , there's lots to choose from.
No Maureen ,my mouse doesn't have batteries ,the wire has got a bit worn thats all. Hope you get to see the new baby , i carn't believe he's two weeks old ,bless him.
Frank, perhaps you could sit in a garden chair and do the watering , you don't want to over do it , must be hard to just sit and not do much when your always used to doing something .
Ann, i love the little cottages , i have eleven so far , l like some of the snowy ones , i noticed that there is a new one of Bishop Bonners Cottage
Situated in St Withburga Lane, Bishop Bonner's Cottage (dated 1502) is the oldest surviving domestic building in Dereham, Norfolk, and, despite its pleasant appearance, it has a rather disturbing tale to tell, for it was once the home of Edmund Bonner, the infamous 'Bloody Bishop' of London.
Bonner was the Rector of Dereham in 1530s, before going on to become one of the most notorious religious figures of all time for his tireless persecution during the reign of Queen Mary in which time as many as 200 'heretics' are said to have been burnt at the stake upon his orders.
Given the prevelence of fire in the story of this wonderful building, it is somewhat ironic that it should have survived two devastating town fires in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Today, it houses a small museum of local history and is admired for its exquisite pargeted frieze.
Think i might have to drop a few hints about having one for christmas , bit late for my birthday !!!

Evening all
quiet here now and I have time to myself. Been changing the bed for daughter no 2, yes she is coming to stay for a few nights as her boyfriend has gone away with some of his friends for a few days break, they are all mad on photography, daughter had to work today and has to work on Friday, but tomorrow after I go to see the nurse we plan to go into Glasgow to look for a dress for daughter's graduation, something very dressy but not over the top something she can wear on a night out another time.
It was suppose to brighten up today leading up to the hot day we are suppose to get tomorrow and Friday, BUT nothing happened, dull windy and light rain was what we got.
Quotation no 40 <3 We are on the wrong track when we think of friendship as something to get rather than something to give <3
