Hi all,

I was allowed to water all the plants tonight, and I managed to get the dinner ready and dished up.

I felt so bouyant I decided to have a walk roun d the village, It was an abbsolute joy, birds were singing everywhere, and I stopped at a few Rose bushes for a smell, some of them were real old fashion types with lovely purfume Now home and in dressing gown, felling tired, so it won't be a late night for me tonight.

Mel, sorry my love I forgot to reply to you about my tree. No I haven't been looking. Conrad came Sunday, and got a little case down from the loft of Ros's father. It has a detailed family tree of the Knight family going back to the 1500s. So when Conrad has had a copy made and hopfully enlarged, I will be able to add that to the tree. It will be interesting to see if anything comes from it.

A little early KIM but HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR TOMORROW>
Twenty one today,
I've got the key to the door,

Dry here and quite bright and I have someone coming this morning so see you all later.

Frank so pleased you enjoyed your walk yesterday. My old fashioned rose up the top garden is in flower and the perfume is almost overwhelming when I go to turn the pump on for the well. I bring a bloom down with me and put it in the kitchen and get whafts of it perfume all day. <3 <3 <3

Morning all .Where is the Birthday Girl?Out celebrating maybe.I hope you have had lovely day Kim.

It is so warm today really really warm.Phew!!!!.I think when I get back from Tes** it will be shorts for me ,and just hope no-one comes a knocking lol

Frank I bet that walk yesterday did you the world of good.I hope you have had a good sleep last night and feel good today.
I slept like a log ,probably due to all that lovely food and wine.I will definitely go back to that restaurant again.Maybe try a lunchtime one day.We could do with somewhere like that here in Kettering, instead of so many of these fast food places and Kebab shops.

I may go to Foc** too when I do Tes and see if there is anything worth picking up as they are shutting down.I heard someone yesterday say they are now selling the fittings.
Quick coffee and then I will be orf :-D

Morning Birthday GIRL, and all my friends.

Sunny, warm morning here, It's shorts in the garden for me, on the lounger and my book.

Had a good night, got up about 9.am Sitting in dressing gown when phone rang. It was Ros's Saturday shopping friend. She was on her over so we had to rush and get some cloths on. They are sitting nattering 50 to the dozen.!!!!! My poor ears, and head.

I looked at the Menu last night Jane, looks very good and expensive. To far for us to go anyway. So pleased you enjoyed it. Do you have a HANGOVER this morning ????

I am thinking of asking the ROSE OWNER. for a cutting. We do have some old RED roses that smell nice, but would be nice to have different colours.

Afternoon all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM, xxxxxxxx

just got back from seeing the nurse, for another blood test, alls well,

It's cloudy here but very mild and NO strong winds but we do have a breeze , which is quite nice, would be really warm if the sun came out.

Daughter no 2 wants to go into Glasgow to look for a dress, but she doesn't look like she's moving that way. busy on the computer, but at least she is dressed.
so I am going to carry on with my jobs, till she decided what she 's doing.

Glad you enjoyed your meal Jane,

coffee time.

Had a right lot of bother getting on here........lost my post....GR doing maintenance!!

That walk seems to have done you a power of good Frank. A nice relax in the lounger.......good idea. My word, your family tree goes a lot further than mine at the present....... 1500s!! Incredible!

I've got sweet peas coming out of my ears now!! lol The ones I gave up on and went out and bought others are all coming up!!! lol Still it should smell nice in the garden. OH has been for another trip to get slate chippings and has been busy spreading them under the arbour. He is filthy with the dust/mud off them and has been given STRICT instructions to dust himself off before he comes in the house!! lol He has a habit of walking inside, then stands slapping his middle while he's talking and the dust puthers all over the place!!!! lol :-(

Hello everyone,

Thank you one and all for the birthday wishes, cakes, balloons - you are all so wonderful. Annx I loved your e-card, it made my day :-D 21 again, yes Frank I do wish!!! Good to see you on here, I was blood, BLOODY worried about you last night.

We had a lovely afternoon tea at Wallarah Bay Club at Gorokan. I had gluten-free mud cake and a mocca coffee. You can see The Entrance across the bay and we watched as the rainbow formed, then the rains came and went. We then called in to see my lovely friend Sylvia and had a cup of tea with her, whilst Keith worked on her set-top box.

My neighbour left a card with a bottle of champers and chocolates on the doorstep for me. We went in to see them - he has been diagnosed with liver cancer today; we are all gutted and he has gone down hill since I saw him two weeks ago. At least they will be able to offer him the proper treatment now and he has found a good doctor.

I have had lots of emails and messages on Facebook. Been on here 3 hours now and trying to catch up with it all.

Will take a photo of my beautiful flowers to send to you. Jane you DID have a good night!!!

The brain is draining so I will leave you all now, lots of huge hugs. Have a good day. It is now 11.07 pm EST

Best wishes, KIm

Jane Report 2 Jun 2011 17:56

Sounds like you have had quite a day Kim.I bet you are worn out now lol
Sorry to hear about your Neighbour.I that the retired Policeman?I hope he can get some treatment now he has been diagnosed.

What a lovely day it has been.I have been clambouring around in the peas and broad beans trying to clear some weeds.I have done a fair job I think. At least I can now see the individual Obelisks for the peas now.My feet are disgusting as I did it in my open sandals again and all the soil falls in lol.

Fiona that is good that your bloods are ok.

No Frank,no hangover this morning.I didn't go mad lol.Just enough !

My phone has rung so many times this afternoon, and each time I came haring in from the garden like an idiot. We have a blooming answerphone for goodness sake lol.The only one I wanted to speak to was my son !!

Have we all that this weather.I hope the sun came out eventually for you Fiona.I was so hot earlier I had an ice lolly.I really enjoyed it too.

Annx

Annx Report 2 Jun 2011 18:16

It sounds as though you had a nice birthday Kim. What a shame about your neighbour though. I'm glad he has a good doctor and will get some good care and treatment now.

Jane, I wear my crocs in the garden this weather (a cheap version) and all the soil gets in those and the bottom of my feet end up black as well!! lol It sounds as if you made good progress with the weeds today. I bet it would have been nice in your garden with the birds singing away. Does Chester flop out close by and keep you company?

I think I will sort one of my drawers out in the bedroom now........getting hard to close it!! I seem to start on new pants, then hang on to the old comfy ones that are past their best!! lol

OH is at a meeting at the Police HQ down the road to do with the voluntary work he does. He was going to walk it............must have decided it was too hot as I see his car has gone.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Jun 2011 18:32

Yes Ann Chester always accompanies me down the garden. He either mooches about or just lies some near where he can see me.He has given my feet a lovely wash lol.I have had to give him a steroid tablet today as he was flicking his ears and rolling a lot(which means allergies again.I had stopped the tablets for a week just to see how he went, but I think it is the grass and tree pollen now.We just need a decent amount of rain to wash some of the pollen away.I can smell it strongly in the air.
Just seen the temperature for tonight......a warm one !! Not good lol.
How is your Hayfever/throat Ann? I woke with an ear ache this morning and my ears have felt all cotton woolly this afternoon.I am pretty sure it is all connected to Pollen.I never used to be affected at all :-( :-(

Annx

Annx Report 2 Jun 2011 20:06

I think the sore throat might have been to do with hayfever as it felt itchy at night and went after a couple of days tablets. I stopped the tablets a week ago and seem to be ok. Rapeseed pollen seems to be the main culprit, but mowing grass pollen has affected me in the past, so I may be taking more tablets soon!! Like you I never used to have any problem. OH never used to have any problem either, but he has started to be affected by the rapeseed. If he smells any flowers in a garden centre he starts sneezing too. I usually get itchy, streaming eyes at night when I want to watch tv in bed, but sometimes it seems to itch deep in my ears too, so I bet your earache could be connected. lol Ear, nose, throat are all connected after all!! lol

I wonder how Anne got on at the The Himalayan Garden......it sounded as if it would be good.

Has anyone been watching The Country House Revealed? They take you inside private stately homes that are not open to the public. The last one was Wentworth Woodhouse in Yorkshire which has 365 rooms, is twice as wide as Buckingham Palace and has 5 miles of underground tunnels!!!! It was said to once have been the most powerful place on earth. The new owner, an architect, bought it for one and a half million about a year ago. It was cheap because all the coal mining that was done during the war has caused subsidence. Worth googling to see pics and I think it is on the BBCiplayer. Interesting story to it.

Well here we are again.

Had a nice iece of leg of pork tonight. Roast parsnips, cabbage, peas and carrots and new pots. Dish washer is on, and I have done all the watering back and front.

Had a nice day resting in the lounger with my book. I have been the gofa all day, tea was coming out of her ears !!! She has beavered away in the boarders and cleared all the weeds, and put loads of seedling in. She is so more comfotable sitting on the little seat than standing.

Even the old cat has been outside today rolling on the lawn beside Ros. and sitting on the Patio table. The weather agrees with him.

Jane haven't you got one of those cordless jobies. We take ours down the garden with, in case it rings. !!!

I see you all have been busy one way or another. Keeps you young :-D :-D

Where our Mel, busy in the Tunnel no doubt. Don't tunnel to deep my love or you will see KIM down under.

Hope you had a nice day Kim, and you didn't over do things. eh. eh.

See you in the morning.

Glad you had a nice birthday Kim.

Jane. the sun did come out for me today, about 5.00 pm while we were coming home from the shops it was lovely, it had been really warm a but cloudy till then,
OH and daughter no 2 had a Chinese take away and I had a Pasta for dinner and we sat out side to eat, was great to feel the sun on the old bones,
We should have another lovely day tomorrow and Saturday will be nice but cooler and Sunday probably back to normal.

Phone just rang for daughter boyfriend coming home, unexpectedly tonight, his friend has just found out he has to work tomorrow, so boyfriend said there's no point me staying in Dundee, I will come home, so daughter is very happy, she's off to repack, he's only been away 1 night and she's missed him :-)
