Hello everyone how are you. Happy Aniversary Mandy to you and your husband it was mine yesterday 51 years`

I am sorry I have not been around I had to go to Wales to see Jessica and ended up staying until yesterday .Jess got a nasty water infection and was really off colour. My granson is growing and does have a very good pair of lungs mostly operative all night.

Beryl and Donnie came up to visit me in Wales and got lost all day just going out to the village to get a loaf of bread. It was a laugh watching Donnie change a nappy it fell off everytime he fixed it because he could not stand the mess and closed his eyes .Jessica insisted on towelling for the earlier nappies and they kind of continued until I put my foot down and suggested piles of nappies was not a good idea lying in buckets of Nappysan. I love to see them blowing on the line said Jess but who had to wash them me .However I adored bath time the little chap is cute.

Kim I am so sorry I took so long to answer you when you mentioned your son had schizophrenia I am sorry. It is a dreadful illness and takes so much inderstanding.

I loved Glynis Johns and Joan Greenwood both had enchanting voices
I liked the old films of that time.

My son hated being called Ashley after Ashley Wilkes from Gone with the wind.

I do hope every one is ok. Hello to Jane dear Mel and Mandy Maureen and Fiona and Shirl also David and Frank and all the new friends I have not looked properly yet in case 10 more have joined. But that would be exciting. and of course Annx nearly forgot .

Kim I love to read your threads .I like everyones but wish I had more time lately to read and join in. My eyes have to be checked in a year and are ok at the moment.

Michelle and her ex ho may be getting back together he was taken ill and had to go to hospital was not eating so he could save the money for medication for his mother he had to pay for in Tunisia do not know anymore than that Michelle is in Ireland on a course and I get bits I take it with a pinch of salt and bated breath after last time. I am done with worrying about so much.
I shall have a read of everyone threads tomorrrow goodnight and godbless HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT DAY MANDY.

When I got home on my step was a hug card from Sophia saying I did not know you were going away but now you have been away , while away I let my self in your house as you were away and cleaned the flippin windows for you they got dirty while you were away I noticed from the outside and being away you would not be able to clean them but when you come back from being away you will find them nice and blooming clean. They were lovely and clean but Sophia left the note where everyone could see I was away.

Kim I passed on your love to Jessica she was so pleased it was nice of you and everyone else who sent good wishes. My craft is piling up I am chaining myself to the seat this week to do some cards how many times have I said that.

Yes, I love it Mandy and sing the tune too!! How sad I am!! lol I must get out more. lol

Sheila, glad baby Matt is doing well. I can just picture Donnie doing the nappy! I remember putting a peg on my nose when I changed a bad one of my sister's when I was aged 9. lol It is good to hear you are trying not to worry so much though it must be hard. What will be, will be, won't it.

It sounds as if you hit just the right spot with a PINK Kindle for your daughter Fiona. She is a lucky girl! Glad she and her boyfriend are ok after that frightening accident.

I'm going to get ready to see the new Coast series now, so will see you all tomorrow. Hope Frank has a better night and that your tooth settles down Jane.

Night, night........xxxx

Jane I hope your jaw ache settles down. Try not to open your mouth and let the cold air in :-D :-D :-D :-D Some chance of that !!!!

Conrad and Jan went home about 5.30pm We have cleared up,washed up,cleaned down, now in dressing gowns and going to settle down to a bit of Tele.

David Report 5 Jun 2011 21:49

It's not impossible you have may have arthritis in your jaw.

Several months ago I had to go to Newcastle RVI Oral Surgery department to see Mr Staines head honcho in biopsies.

On my upper right above gum I had a discoluration the size of a postage stamp. It was X rayed and small fragments of tooth/amalgum were present.

I was told I had nothing to worry about (?)
Think they were checking for oral cancer.

Frightening prospect.

I recall I liked and still like the female lead in Brief Encounter oppostite Trevor Howard and same woman in This Happy Breed.

Both stories were written by the same man.

Oh Mandy, I received the card today. It is so lovely and cheered me up no end. Thank you so much. Your little Katie is a real doll, but her poor face - that must have hurt!!!! Such a worry when they become mobile and want to climb on everything. I recall having to rush Joel to the hospital when he fell backwards off a kitchen chair and cut the back of his head. He still has the scar and a small spot where the hair won't grow. He also pushed his sister down the back, concrete stairs when she was two - that wasn't much fun either, lol!!! The things they used to do to one another :-0 :-0

Sheila so glad to have you back. Little Matt sounds as if he is coming along just fine. Sorry Jess has been unwell and hopefully back on track now. I know what she means about the cloth nappies, I used to love to watch them blowing in the breeze brilliantly white. However, once the next one came I became a fan of disposables - not environmentally good I know. It was my brother that was ill. Thanks for passing on my message to Jessica. Are Beryl and Donnie her in-laws?

It is been so emotional for me lately. I have been thinking of my brother so much as the anniversary of his death is coming up on 27/6. It will be 32 years, but I was talking to my old school friend who I have just caught up with in recent weeks. She told me she was at the hospital with him in the same ward and they became good friends. I almost fell backwards - here was a missing link from that time, as I wasn't allowed to see him when he was there. Doctors wouldn't permit visitors at all. She was being treated for manic depression and they would walk to the beach just near the hospital and talk and she said he would stare out to sea for hours. When I told her that he died, she cried and cried. I didn't know as we were chatting on Facebook, but she wants to come and see me and I would love to see her. Don't know how I will handle it. Any advice from anyone would be welcome. I have felt his presence so strongly; I'm sure he's pushing this along from the ether regions. What a bugger he is, always so stubborn. He gave me quite a time about two years after he died - sitting on the bed, I could see the indent on the mattress. He would push me, pull my hair, tug at my arm. Swear to God it's all true. Don't ban me from the group because you think I've gone crackers :-D :-D

Just to change the subject, Jane your tooth is giving you curry again. How long now until your dentist appointment? I do hope the antibiotics help.

Frank hope you are feeling better. All the best with your blood tests today. Hope they yield some answers for your doctor.

Sheila I think Ashley is a lovely name, along with Jacob, James, Joel, Francis and quite a few others I like. I might have told you my nephew is an Ashley and he is the best lad, so kind and caring!!!

I have been sending Shirl some emails, but no word for just over a week now. She might still be with her sick cousin.

OH took the neighbour to his doctor this morning. What a struggle it would have been for his wife on her own!!! Keith is taking them to the hospital tomorrow for that all important test. Could you please offer a prayer for him if you can?? His name is Rod Makings; it might make a difference.

Just a childhood memory to finish off with. I can remember going into 3rd grade in 1966. Our teacher was a severe nun named Mother Enda. She marched each and every one of us to our seats pulling us by the ear. Now that would have been 30 children; took a while and then she walked around the class banging the cane on each desk tell us what "stupid, little articles" we were. She had never laid eyes on us before!!!!!! How did she know that and it wasn't true - well not in every case, lol. I was soooooooo frightened of her that I had the runs everyday before and during school. Did any one else have a teacher like her???? I was too afraid not to learn!!!!

It is 4.45 pm EST and the news is coming up. Think I will have a cup of coffee first though. Have the best day all. Bye for now, Kim

:-) :-) :-)

Morning All,

Welcome home Sheila. We thought you may have gone to Wales to be with Jess and baby Matt. I bet April liked her baby brother.

OH is at me to get ready to go out to the garden center as he needs some things for the pond. We will probably have lunch there so I don't have to cook tonight.

Sun is out but there is a coldish wind.

Kim you are not silly about your brother being with you. We have all had experience of rellies of times gone by still watching over us. I know my gt gran helps me with my tree when I ask her and I have never met her as she died before I was born.

Sheila happy anniversary for yesterday. Hope you had a lovely day too. Give those little dogs a big hug for me. Perhaps things will sort themselves out between Michelle and hubby. I do hope so as she really does still love him......... <3

Mel, I was always asking the ancestors for help, with the exception of a couple, I usually got my answers. My daughter has had a problem with me "digging" as she says they all visit her!!!

Morning one and all, and welcome back Shelia.

Had my blood tests four files (I've got an empty arm now) Got to ring Friday for the results.

Kim my love, My Dad has been gone 53 years, and I still talk to him, and ask his advise when I am doing something, that I know he would have an answer too. There is nothing wrong with that. It's so nice that you were so close, to still be able to do things together !!!! My 2nd eldest brother often turns up in my dreams, and we play football, cricket and spar when he taught me to box. It's so nice.

Mel, that tune is in an advert with the MEERCATS. I bet that's how it sticks in your brain.

Hope everyone enjoyed the little rain last night. Very overcast and dull here today. and much cooler.

Ros, is making pots of Marmalade, from a tin. for the scouts fund raising day next Saturday. I have donated a load of Tomato plants ( Where did he get those, I hear you say)

The local allotments got raided on saturday night. A whole row of cabbages, lettuce, garlic, and even stole the wheelbarrows to take it all away. !!!

Hows that teggy this morning our Jane ???? not to painful I hope.

Frank, who is Conrad????? I've been so curious!!!! Son, brother, nephew, friend - my gg.grandfather was a Conrad - it's such a strong name :-)

Annx

Annx Report 6 Jun 2011 14:43

I always watch when they take blood Frank.......sometimes when they keep screwing bigger and bigger phials on you wonder if there is any left!! lol. Hope you are taking notice of your good lady today......no overdoing it!! We never got any rain....still waiting.

OH is sitting in on a 2 hour maths exam at the moment.........I am secretly hoping this will be good training for him at home.........the 'being quiet and sitting still' for a bit!! When he was getting changed ready to go he came up to me and asked if I had changed the washing powder I use. 'No' I said, why? Well something seems to have shrunk my shirt, he said, pointing to the straining button holes at the front!!!!! lol, lol

Where is Jane today?? I hope that tooth hasn't been playing up, and that she's had to go to the dentist.

I better go and do some of that sorting of my clothes in the bedroom........BBL

Good job son came a few days ago and fixed my flat roof, with all the rain over the last 24 hours I would have been putting buckets down everywhere. Finally cleared up and looking quite bright now, funny old weather, one day baking hot and the next quite cold.

Had an e.mail from Shirl. she has gone back to Toronto for her cousins funeral, said to let everyone know as like Fiona, she couldn't get on GR.

That plant Kim is a Clematis, it had gone past its best when I took the photo, earlier it was covered in beautiful mauve flowers the size of dinner plates, it will flower again later in the summer but the flowers are smaller. I thought what you were saying about your brother very interesting, I've never experienced any thing para normal but do believe other peoples stories are genuine, not sure if I would really want to experience it myself. 27th June is the day my mum died last year.

I was wondering where you were Sheila, good you can get down to see Jess and help out with the baby, not sure Donny and Beryl are much help though, sound more like a hindrance, still they do keep us all amused with their antics.

Annx

Annx Report 6 Jun 2011 15:44

Kim, I can't say I have ever had those experiences either, but I am sure there is much we don't know about or understand...................we won't think you are crackers......well, no more than the rest of us!!! I think it would be good to meet up with your old schoolfriend.....she can give you insight about those times you couldn't visit and didn't know about which I know can be very worrying at the time, having had the same experience.

Maureen, I just got an e-mail from Shirl too........ she said to say 'HI to the GANG'. She visited her cousin earlier this year and if I remember right, her cousin was to come to Shirl's this summer. What a shame......poor Shirl.... She also said she had sent another e-mail to GR to try and get things sorted.

Hope you enjoyed you 51st wedding anniversary Sheila.........not many last that long!! Mine is still 'on approval'........well that's what I tell him!! lol Can't have him slacking!!

What's this about rain..........we are bone dry again up here. lol

Fiona Report 6 Jun 2011 15:58

Hi Everyone.
Finely have been able to get on here through an e-mail I get regularly from GR telling me that someone has posted on the childhood memories thread.
you can tick the watch box and they let you know if there's been a new post.

Maureen , thanks for posting that I could not get on. I still can't use the normal channel, so if this is the only post for a while you will know I'm OK and I will keep trying, GR keep saying they are doing maintenance ??

Hi Sheila, Glad you had a nice time with baby Matt.
No Jane today ? Hope she's ok.

Will try & BBL

Annx

Annx Report 6 Jun 2011 16:10

I had that message earlier too Fiona. I wonder what GR are doing this time. Also I can't seem to get straight in every time anymore. I keep having to go around the houses to get here!! They are always 'messing things up' aren't they. Maybe the background will be blue and yellow stripes next....who knows.

Afternoon everyone.
I have been like a Blue A***d Fly this morning.Here ,there,and everywhere !
My jaw doesn't feel quite so achy today. It is different from last time.It hurt my gum and Jaw when I pressed on the tooth .Now I can press and it doesn't hurt. The ache is in a slightly different position, but I reckon it will be connected to the tooth.I have the antibiotics now .I just want to get through this week before I need to contact the dentist.

Sheila I'm please that little Matt is doing well and growing nicely.I do hope that Jess gets over her infection. That one can make you feel real yucky.
I wonder if Michelle will get back with Moshen. That could be a tough one.I hope she makes the right decision Sheila.

Kim lots of people believe they have a strong connection to relatives who have passed away.David has has some experiences(if I remember,.
mainly to do with his Mum)

Fiona has had trouble getting on here today.

Must go and pick MORE Spinach!!!!!!! Who was it said I should be called Olive Oyl????.She was a skinny liz.Did she ever eat the stuff or was it just Popeye?
We must have a Magpies nest at the bottom of the garden somewhere. There seem to be young Magpies flitting back and forth all day!
