Ann
I'm still here , decided to have a nose around GR for a while, look up some names, I wouldn't mind if they changed the back ground colour This green flock wall paper is centuries old lol ;-)

Just seen your post Jane , I'm here, don't want to go lol, will continue to come through GR e-mail, might be the only way I can keep in touch for a while

Well I thought I posted my last post a while ago ,but them came back and saw GR doing work again so I had to press submit button again.
I have just been upstairs trying to sort out James's papers and rubbish that he brought back at Easter.I have a huge pile of papers ,empty envelopes ,old statements etc that had all been stuffed on some shelves under his desk.I still have the same amount again to do .But that can wait until tomorrow now.I think I will ask Chris to have a bonfire with all this otherwise I will be at the shredder forever and probably burn the motor out lol

I hadn't realised Shirls cousin had passed away. How sad.Did they go over to Canada together all those years ago?(or was it a friend). It was good that Shirl got to see her Cousin the other month.
I am parched now.it must be all the dust in those papers :-0 :-0

What is wrong with this site at the moment? Spent ages trying to get on and, just like Fiona, told that doing essential maintainence but obviously not affecting
everyone grrrrrr
Has an interesting morning, had phone call first thing from son to say that a very rare bird had turned up at Hartlepool headland ( Fiona may remember this) and,as I needed some trainers at Go Out***rs I went with hubby. It is a long time since I twiched a rarity and I thoroughly enjoyed the morning. The bird, a white throated robin which should be in Turkey, was very obliging and we had super views. The weather was gorgeous with not a drop of wind ( its usually a very bleak spot) and I was taken to lunch afterwards so all in all a good start to the week. Expect the place is very busy now as it's the first of its kind to be seen easily in Britain and birders will be travelling from far and wide. Great to have it on the doorstep. Son may come up tonight if he can "work something out" as he put it.
Mel did you get my email re Sinclairs??
Frank There will be plenty more blood where that came from never worry.
Must go and rescue the washing as it is becoming more cloudy now :-D :-D

Sheila Report 6 Jun 2011 17:39

HI AGAIN me married 51 years yes sometimes I have to pinch myself. Maureen we had so many arguments when we had been married a few years mostly over my ho always wanting his own business and moving all over the place.I never got used to one house for long and off I would move again. Not everyone is cut out for marriage.

Kim I do get things wrong dont I when mentioning you sorry chuckie it is the gapes in between and the medication does my head. All that going and coming .I meant of course your brother silly me !!!!

I do deserve a medal for my marriage my ho just lately seems to think it is amusing to be really rude to Donnie and Beryl and will say I think you two are mad to get married Sheila agrees when Sheila,s said nothing although thinks it. It was funny they got lost because Ryan went to get the loaf and past them walking home when on his push bike he peddled past them so he did not have to speak and they were so tired out they did not see him. Ryan came in and said the Munsters are coming up the lane .

No Kim Beryl is my old school friend I have known since I was about 5 years old and was my best friend for years and years you name it she and I did it together. Beryl was married to a sailor a very nice bloke for years and had three daughters a bit like the three ugly sisters with names to match all married with husbands that spend most of the weeek ends fishing to get away from them. Beryl and I worked making teddie bears together at a small factory attached to Chad Valley we stuffed teddies everything went in our teddies from kapok to little notes, yes we used to write notes and stick them inside the teddies Lou Belle Dobs was surposed to have inspected them but was always in the loo having a fag and our weird nasty little spookie notes were sewn into the teddies just one of my horried little secrets of my youth. Later on we both were usheretts at the cinema showing people to there seats. Me and Beryl
had different shifts but once I got caught when she let me in the cinema through the exit door each week she was on duty . I was just about to sit down and was grabbed by the manager who propelled me out the exit again luckily it was dark so he did not reconise me being another usherette.
Beryl met and married Donnie after living alone for years she older than me coming up to 74 and he says he is 28 wears leather and studs all over.
Jessies in laws would be insulted to be told they were like Beryl and Donnie and I think thats funny. I must tell Jess she will laugh I must admit there have been some good times with Beryl but all this Donnie Wonnie and where my little sugar plum makes me shudder. I said even children can find this cottage how did you get lost getting bread and they said we asked where Rose cottage was and someone told us the wrong one there are several in this area. daft pair. I said did you not give the lane area and Beryl said well we did but could not understand the Welsh.

I hope the maths test goes well for your ho Annx he seems a bright kind of guy with his lovely talk I listened to. My ho also. It sounds like Shirl is having a bit of life lately hope she is well.

Wheres our Jane is she having teething problems still hope she is ok.

Aprils been having some farming lessons shes joined the young farmers
another thing shes been wanting to do. Mel and the doggies were being looked after by Sophie who had a complaint because she was outside shouting here doggies at 3.30 in the morning she makes cakes and ices them and stays up all night nearly. Does make lovely cakes. the dogs have got fat in Sophies care.

The lady in Happy Breed was called Celia Johnson David one of my favourite films and she talked frightfully posh

i love thos names you like Kim .Francis was my hos dads name and his dad .My sister in law was Francis also. I think it was a popular name in that family they were squires and went way back in Staffordshire.

Jessica loved Joel and she said had I not chose Mat I would have picked Joel it is different. Ashleys do seem nice lads my Ashley is ok.I do not see him much though working at the prison he does these hospital runs where he bed sits the prisoners who are ill. Then it general duties in the nasties unit. I dare not do anything silly though with Ashley breathing down my neck.

Hows your collection of fairies Mel have you anymore fairies. Jessica loves fairies and Matty loved hob goblins they used to draw elvs and fairies and things when Jess used to visit Mat when in the cabin up in the heights of Snowdonia when he was working They painted a mural and had it on a wall for sometime but April chucked blackcurrant juice all over it and ruined it.

Evening all,

Thought I would just pop in to let you know i'm allright.

Ros took me to M.K. this lunchtime. She wanted a dress pattern at John Lew##'s. I stayed in the car and read yesterday's paper. Then my Ebook.
When we got home I decided to do a bit of planting in some tubs. and guess what !!! I planted some more tomato plants.also !!!! I then watered the greenhouse and all the flower beds and containers, then the same in the front.

We have had dinner, yesterdays Veg and fresh meat. I enjoyed it better today than yesterday, I suppose it was all the extra work yesterday, you never feel you want to eat after preparing and cooking all morning. Plus we tend to eat at 6.pm and not 2.pm like yesterday.

Hope our Jane's tooth is O.K. tonight. Did you take my advise ???? Or are you ignoring me, and hope I will go away. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Sorry about my spelling mistakes, but I am sure you know what I mean.

Jane

Jane Report 6 Jun 2011 19:27

Oh Frank would I ignore your advice lol.Kept my mouth shut most of the day!!
No trouble tonight. It's weird really I don't know if it is to do with my tooth or not.
I feel just about ready to keel over!I have been taking Hannahs car around to see what she might get if she sold it.It has damage on one of the back sides which will need to be done and she has 81,000 miles on the clock !

My dinner may be a bit of a disaster.Lumpy sauce ,and tough spinach ,hopefully the Haddock will be alright. My kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off.I seemed to have used every pot ,pan ,utensil. You name it I used it.
Now I have to do the new potatoes, runner beans and carrots.I think I am safe with them !!!.I feel quite frazzled now,and need a glass of something! ;-) ;-)

OH said his legs were really aching after standing for 2 hours today. He said one of the chaps was like Herr Flick!! lol 'There VILL be SILENCE!! You VILL be QUIET!! lol

He said all the children (over a 100) were given a bottle of water and someone said that at some schools they get a banana too!! Flippin heck, what's wrong with tap water like we had or bringing your own bottle and banana if you want them. OH said by the end some had just opened their bottle but hadn't drunk any water, others had just had a couple of sips........all had to be thrown away!! What a scandalous waste of taxpayers money........yet councils say they are strapped for cash and are cutting or charging more for services to the vulnerable!! Why don't they start cutting back on this kind of waste first........oh, it does make me cross!!

Kim, you are such good neighbours helping out like that. I feel so sorry for your poor neighbour and his wife.

Jane

Jane Report 6 Jun 2011 21:40

As you say what a waste !!.Do you feel a letter coming on to the local paper??

I am on my knees tonight and am ready for bed.I can't even stay up for the rest of 'Case Histories'.Mind you I was awake at 3am listening to the rain and reading my book lol.I was lovely to hear the rain.I can't think of the last time .It has been months.
Off to take my antibiotic ,and then away with my book.
See you all in the morning xx

I know you have all gone to bed by now. I have been out to the garden center today and we had lunch there. OH bought a new light to kill the stuff in the pond and I bought another of those pots to put my broken fairy on when I have stuck her together. Also bought 6 nemesia plants and a new peanut feeder for the birds. Then went to Mole Valley Farmers and bought a new pump so I can water the tunnel from the big water tank. Came home and OH had seeen a filter on ebay that would do our pond and at a knockdown price. Yes he bought it and then went to Newton Abbot to get it so I went in the garden and did some gardening. Then the midges started to bite so I came down the house and went into the back bit of garden by the pond and did some weeding there.

Nice to have Sheila back with us again with her lovely stories of Donnie Wonnie and Beryl the peril.

Kim did you get my card I sent??????

Off now so see you all in the morning.

Oh I've just lost the lot. Sorry everyone, I had been back and forth adding bits and now it's all gone!!!! :-( :-( :-(

I will have to start again later. Just quickly, Sheila I think Matt Tree sounds better than Joel Tree. Your couple sounds hilarious, gee I got that wrong. Don't tell Jessica's in-laws, lol. Francis was my grandfather's name and we have a few more in the family too.

Mel card hasn't arrived yet, but thank you so much. Australia Post - We Deliver (well not always). It will probably turn up later this week.
