Morning Everyone.
Are we all having a lazy morning? The sun is shining here and it doesn't look bad out there.
Chris is out with Chester,Hannah sprawled on the settee feeling tired after having 12 hours sleep lol,and me still in the old nightie.
Lunch today is
Deboned Chicken with Sunblushed Tomato and Parmesan marinade.(Curtesy of Waitr***).It is really tasty and we haven't had it for ages.I found it it my Freezer and had forgotten It was there.Little crispy roast potatoes, carrots and peas from the garden, cauli and broccoli.Oh It is making me feel hungry.lol

I have been trying to ring my Sister since Friday and I have not been able to get in touch at all.I've tried hers and her OH mobiles and no answer.I'm getting a bit worried now :-S :-S
The only thing I'm wondering is if something has happened to my BIL' Father and they have had to go up to Yorkshire. But I still don't understand why one of them at least has not answered their mobile.Fingers crossed I hear from her soon.

SUNDAY.

Morning Jane and All,

Sun is out here and OH off ringing. I have done all the chickens and put washing on th eline and washed up from last night as there was no hot water yesterday. I had forgotten to turn the water on!! Saying that I should do it again now. I don't leave it on for long. Can't work the timer switch as it is in a really awful place in the kitchen cupboard.

Should be cleaning the chickens out but have a pain across y upper back, also a cold and think I may have a chest infection.

Hope Frank has a nice time in Rutland this weekend and safe jopurney home again.

We had chilli con carni last night. I was thinking of going out for dinner today but as we went to the garden center yesterday it seems a bit silly to go again today. It is in Cornwall so a few miles from home.

Hello all just popping in quickly, so tired tonight.

Did a bit of gardening in the driveway bed and found the garden tap - been missing for years. I pulled out lots of plants and plenty of weeds, was covered from head to toe in mud from all this rain. We have had beautiful weather since Thursday. We need some colour out there, some flowering shrubs or something pretty. The tree fern is looking poorly and it always has plenty of water!!!

I will catch up with all your posts. Mandy I do hope (Noel, is it?) feels better soon and they get some results with all the tests being done at the hospital.

I have been told my old school mates (the Brigidine girls) are coming to see me next Saturday (25th). That should be so much fun, lots of memories and many stories. OH might be up for a bit of cooking or at least a BBQ. Hope the weather holds up.

Jacob is now running Miranda around in his 1991 little red Fiesta. It is so cute, but I don't know how he fits in it with those long legs. He must be at least 6 foot 3. Saves Keith on petrol and all those kilometres. Locked the keys in the ignition last night. Keith managed to break in for him, so easy to access. I gave him my old Club steering lock for extra protection. He is such a nice young man!!!!

Have a happy Sunday everyone. Off to the tv and it is now 10.37 pm EST

Doctors for you then Mel .Miserable things Chest Infections.I'm sure the Chickens can wait a bit longer to be cleaned out. They will understand if Mummy Mel is feeling a bit poorly.

Lots of cloud now ,not sure what this afternoon will be like.Chris has just trimmed the front Yew Hedge and is now sneezing and snuffling. He will be in for a Zirtec in a bit lol,but he is now mowing the lawn .
I have been to Tes** and got a few bits for Hannah's trip to Glastonbury.Wine,Cider ,toilet rolls lol. There is no glass allowed at the festival (very sensible idea).I dread to think what the loos will be like there !!!!!Not sure how the girls will cope with that.

I wonder how Mandy's DIL's father is today.Hopefully getting all his scans etc done. Also I hope Anne is enjoying her few days in Jersey.I think she said it is until Tuesday.

Still nothing from my Sister. It is so unusual not to be able to get in touch with her wherever she is :-S

Afternoon all,

Had a nice Indian last night, Well they did. The silly buggers forgot to pack mine, so Conrad had to cart into Oakham and pick it up. For his trouble they didn't charge for it and gave him a bottle of wine. Nobody else drinks, so I enjoyed a glass or two !!!! hic hic.

I sitting in the conservatory with the pooter on my lap, difficult to see the screen and to type, as I only have one finger.that I type with.

Sat outside this morning when the sun was shineing, now it's gone in and looks like rain.

Conrad a Jan bought me new slippers for Fathers day, and even had a card from ROS. she must still LOVE me then, even though I shout and play up all the time.

Harvey, Julia, Lewis are due about 3epm for dinner. It's about 75 miles from theirs to here.

I went out for a walk around the village this morning, and called and got a Sunday Paper.

Trust you all have a peaceful day, and enjoy your dinners. Will try to get back later.

David I hope your move went off O.K.

Afternoon everyone,

Heavy showers on and off here today.

DIL's father is now out of hospital, they're still not sure what caused the funny turns ,he had all the scans and xrays and nothing showed up so he's got some antibiotics to take as there was a slight infection and some pain killers.

Been to a garden centre this afternoon , i was looking for another hand bag to take out with me last night when i looked in one i found some garden tokens for £25 i had for my birthday a few years ago !!!! so i thought i'd better go and spend them , i bought a Hosta ,a Salvia called Hot Lips which is pretty and a pretty Hydrangea , oh and a pot ,all i had to pay was £1.96 !!!!!
Now all i need is some one to tell me what sort of compost i need for potting up the Hydrangea , Mel ??

Fiona, thanks for the photo's , you all look so happy ,glad you enjoyed the day .

Strange about your sister Jane , it's a worry when you carn't get in touch ,especially as you've tried different phones !!

Mel, get yourself off to the doctors with your chest , you don't want to end up in hospital like me !!! mine started off like that , the sooner you can get some thing for it the better .

Kim, nice to catch up with friends and have a BBQ ,not much chance of a BBQ here !! too wet and chilly .

Don't know what we're having for tea if it's i think !!

Me and my chest here!! Well mandy I don't think I would be going to the doc's without my chest!! :-)

I have been up the tunnel watering. Have'nt cleaned the chickens out, thought I would leave that for now.

Fillet steak tonight for dinner with asparagus, carrots, mushrooms and chips or new pots. Nice bottle of red.

I had a contact from OZ today from a distant cousin inquiring about my tree. He is the son of one of mums mums sister. My great aunt I suppose. He said he has photos if I am interested and I replied "yes please". Emailed him back but have'nt heard anything yet.

I can relax now.My sister and family are fine.It seems they have been in places where there was no signal on their phones.Yesterday there were at a County Show, and today a Car Boot (selling)getting shot of stuff before they move house. For some reason my messages were not recorded on their Answer phone.Phew! it is a relief. The mind goes all over the place when you can't get in touch.
Mandy I bet that Salvia called hot lips is bright red lol.
Good news that DIL's Dad is back home.Hopefully the Antibiotics will sort the problem out.
Nice bright early evening here
:-D :-D

I'm surprised they didn't diagnose a virus Mandy, they always say that when they don't know what's wrong.

Was at the crematorium yesterday, it would have been my mum's 88th birthday, we all went, and Finley kept pointing at the same open space, very strange, they do say children can see things us grown ups can't. Then youngest daughter and I spent about 3 hours putting some old home movies on to DVD's. It was lovely to see the children when they were young, you do forget don't you.

My mum was the worst ever for getting peoples names wrong, it was quite embarrassing bringing a boyfriend home and she would run through half a dozen names before she got to his, my dad had the right idea, would call everybody whatshisname, or thingymebob.

Well done to James, I expect he will take a well deserved break for now Jane, so what will he do in the future.

Have been out for an unexpected meal this afternoon. Son and family popped in and they were all off to Na*do's so I went too. Never been before, it was a bit hectic, everyone seemed to be rushing around but it was quite nice, made a change from my boring old salad.

Im glad you have made contact with your sister now.

The sun decided to stay out about 5 o'clock....But we lose it by 7 as there are some tall trees that stop it getting though.

Mustnt miss part 4 of Scott and Bailey tonight..Those 2 police women etc.

Did you enjoy Injustice Pat, I watched every episode when it was on, thought it was really good. Haven't watched Scott and Bailey, there's something on the other side at the same time, Case Histories, I have read the books, it's well worth a watch if you can catch it second time around.

Evening All,

Hope your DIL's dad makes a quick recovery now Mandy. What a scare for you all.

Maureen, that was hilarious about your mum and your boyfriends!!! lol I can just see their eyebrows going up as she rattled off the names, and them wondering how many others you had!!!!! lol

Jane I like the sound of that chicken........and OH is going to the bank near that shop tomorrow!! :-D I bet you were quite relieved when you made contact with your sister, after your mind racing all that time.

Sorry to hear you aren't well Mel. Mandy is right about getting to the docs if your chest infection doesn't improve.......and don't overdo things will you.

Sorry to hear Ros is suffering Frank.......she has a lot to put up with.......so be good!!

I had a really good sleep last night and woke up about 8.00am to the loud sounds of a family of baby Crows in the tall pine tree!! Not an attractive noise!!! OH told me he was dreaming about trying to catch a serial killer!!!......

Maureen

Maureen Report 19 Jun 2011 20:47

I'm sure Ann wasn't referring to you Frank when she said Ros has a lot to put up with .....LOL :-D but it's no joke being in pain poor thing, I bet she can't remember what normal is anymore.

Whatever did OH have on his mind Ann, at least he was trying to catch a serial killer and not actually being one. I've had a lot of dreams lately where I've been on a train, they are all different dreams but all involve train journeys, what do you think that's telling me. I need a holiday perhaps .....lol

Hope you will be feeling better soon Mel. I'm terrible for going to the doctors always put it off thinking by the time I get an appointment whatever it was will be gone so I shouldn't be telling you to go but sometimes it's the quickest way to clear things up.

Hope your FIL Mandy has had a restful day and no more funny turns.

I'm off to see Case Histories in a minute, I find them a bit complicated with quite a lot of characters but watching it is definitely easier to follow than the books.

Enjoy your dinner with the family Frank.

Night night all
