Morning KIm and all Wow! what a day.Not one cloud to be seen and I already have one fan on :-D :-D :-D
It sounds like you had a great day with the girls yesterday.
I sat up until nearly midnight watching Cold Play.I thought they were fantastic. Far better than U2 .I wasn't keen on them. Text from Hannah this morning saying she is physically and mentally shattered and please get in plenty of soap and shampoo .I think she must be minging by now.I just hope she has enough wits about her to drive home safely tomorrow. Chester is looking at me asking where his breakfast is,so I better do as I'm asked lol

Afternoon all and sundrie,
What a cracking day. now the cloud has burnt off. Shorts as usual, but must take care in the sun.!!!
Jane, I haven't sold a car on Ebay, but bought my little A class Mercedes in 2007. when three years iold and only done 19,000 miles. It has been a delight for us, a little higher off the road than most, and easy for Ros to drive being an Auto. Touch wood it sales through the MOT Each year. and the only thing it ever needed was an alternator. If Hannah decides to see it on Ebay. SHE MUST, describe it fully with any known faults and use plenty of photo's of inside and out of the car. It would be a good idea to go to a 2nd hand car place and see what they would offeer. then add £400.00 to the price on Ebay. Glad everyone is OK and enjoying the weather.

Hotter Tomorrow Mandy! I can't bare it today.I t was 29 just earlier.Tomorrow Ann is coming to me and then we are off to meet up with Maureen at the garden centre Bedford.I think I will be taking my fan with me lol.My nice big flappy one. James is having a bonfire ,getting rid of all his papers and stuff from uni that he no longer needs and Chris is out the front trimming the hedge .It used to look so nice but the neighbours have let it go out of control and it makes our side look horrible. I've decided to cook later. It's too hot now.Just Burgers, sausages,a mediterranean tart, salad and garlic bread and french stick.
Frank thanks for advice on Hannahs car.It has to go in to have a new back quarter first as she damaged it ages ago on the gatepost.Luckily she will just have to pay the excess. Chester is flopped out too Mandy under the fan at the moment.I noticed the cows in the field all standing under the trees to get some shade.
Good job Hannah has the rest of the week off.She will probably sleep for most of it lol

Just saw Shirl on line, so I thought I would SKYPE HER. so much static that I couldn't hear a word she was saying. Will try another time.
Have feed all the tomato's that are in the shade, will feed the rest tonight. I have a stray potato. which I just pushed my hand under. There are quite a few new pots there, I will have those for tomorrow's dinner.
Ros is suffering today, She has only to be on her feet a little while and up starts the pain (NO NOT ME !!!!) She came down the garden to me this morning, and stumbled, and I think jared her leg. She has just tried to put her TENS machine on and it's not working, Back to LLoy## Chemist in the morning. I've told her to sit down and I will do dinner and clearing up. NOTHING UNUSUAL THERE !!!!
Mandy, What a wicked old Bugg## you are :-D :-D :-D poor children not allowed in the water. On a day like this as well. I bet you give in later in the day. :-D :-D :-D :-D We have all been there with the little devils. !!!
I bet the first thing Hahhah will do is put your car through a CAR WASH to get all the muck off, that will only leave the inside for you to do next week !!!!!

Hello Frankie Boy. Chris has just got the potatoes out of the first bag. They do look good, but never seem as many as I think there should be.They will do a couple of meals with 4 of us. I bet Ros can't wait now to get her injections done.Fingers crossed she gets relief from her awful pain.
I am looking at all the dust in here.Ann will just have to shut her eyes tomorrow.I will leave it until it gets cooler. There will be no chance in He** that my car will be clean Frank.I do think it is parked in a field some way away from the actual festival,so hopefully no-one has been tramping around to stir up the muck. Maybe after todays heat some of the mud will be baked lol. I bet the service stations along the M5 will be prepared for the onslaught of revelers tomorrow morning lol Proper toilets !!! I have just been dead heading some roses but it is far too hot for me out there. MANDY I want your spa and pool !.Next door has a swimming pool but it is empty.........Sheesh I could do with a dip right now.

Decided to lift the stray potato, got 15 off it. just rubbed the skins and they were clean. Will have those today, with some over for cold nibbles for Ros, she loved cold new potato's.
No news about neighbour excepl thet are going to put a camera down her throat tomorrow.
The sun is even too hot for me !!! I have been in the shade reading my book, but now come in doors. Have put the Roast" Crackling" Joint in the oven, dinner will be about 6 pm. If it's not to hot to eat it, (weather wise) not the dinner !!!!
Ros is lying on the sofa with her leg up, she looks as though she has dropped off, will let her rest. she won't be in pain while asleep.
Temperature showing 35 degrees on the conseravtory window, and the sun's not on that side.!!!! On top of the bed tonight. for sure.
Going to get myself another shower, to cool off a bit. Make sure you have plenty of hot water for Hannah tomorrow Jane, I'm sure she will be in there for hours and hours and hours !!!!! Then she still might have mud in her ear holes :-D :-D :-D :-D

Afternoon All,
It was 34 degrees on the car thermometer earlier Frank......boiling!! Sorry Ros is in pain......good idea to let the poor lamb sleep while she can.
I think despite yesterday's rain, the pots and baskets will need water tonight.
Jane, we decided it was too hot to see the gardens..........didn't open till 11.00am.....I would want to have been there by 9.00am on such a hot day and on my way home by 11.00am!! I won't notice any dust......too used to seeing it here at the moment......too hot for cleaning anyway!! lol
Mandy I bet the children will be as good as gold tomorrow to make sure they get a dip!! I'm envying you in that lovely cool water! Fancy Toby moving back into the sun!!
Kim, it sounds like you had a really great time with your friends. You must all do it again!! :-D
Mel, yes it just shows that there is often some reason for these names being carried forward.
I was looking at travel to America in the 1700s and it sounds pretty grim!! A type of sailing ship called a Carrack and Galleons like Jack Sparrow's Black Pearl were used. There were no specific passenger ships and cots for people to sleep in were lined up, men and women mixed together. There were no areas to eat and fresh food would go rotten or sour after a week. The journey to America would take 5-6 weeks, but because there were no weather forecasts ships would get blown off course and end up in different ports to those they were heading for!! Disease was rife and dead bodies would be thrown overboard. Travel was a serious risk and until the mid 1700s pirate ships operated on the american shores so that was another risk.
I'm looking forward to seeing Jane and Maureen tomorrow........I don't think we'll be wanting hot drinks!! lol
Better get the salad for tea now.

Hello, .......wrinkled prune here :-D have been in the water so long my fingers and toes are all wrinkly LOL Jane, you would have cooled off a treat in there . Hope you all have a good day tomorrow , will be a hot day for traveling about , hope the old air con is in working order !! We decided to have a salad for tea , to hot for hubby to stand in front of the BBQ .
Frank ,the family were only here for the morning , and the Jake and Chelsea were naughty ,they both thought they would climb in Katies cot and they broke it !!! I coudn't let them go in the Spa when son and DIL had said no., they've got to learn !!!
Hope poor Ros can get some relief from the pain when she has her next injection , did you say it was tomorrow ?
Thought we would leave the watering until its a bit cooler outside . Might have a iced coffee now .

I've just come in from watering and feeding. The sun isn't so stong now, and the front garden is in shadow
We had our Roast about 5.00pm. Everything went in the dishwasher and thats on at the moment. Won't take long to empty that.
Thanks all, for concern about Ros. She goes for her injection on trhe 1st July,so not long to wait.
While watering tonight I found two more rouge potato's one in a pot, on the patio, and one in the front garden, under the trees. When I emptied the bags last year all the compost was put around the garden, so that's where they came from.
I agrtee with you Mandy. The little bugge## will do the most naughty things, what one dose'nt think of the other one will.
Have you seen the No. of postings from CHATTER BOX> !!!!

Hi All
Have had avery busy weekend....yesterday went to look for a bathroom suit which we have to pay for... Chosen the tiles for the bathroom and kitchen which the insurance people pay for.
Today we had to go and look for a light out of our pocket to go in the bathroom...we already have a new one for the kitchen....The electrician will fit these when the new ceilings go up..... Saw some plants whlle in B and ~Q so filled my last empty pot up
It has been to hot to sit in the garden to read today... Did have the big umbrella up but still too sticky... Did some gardening when it cooled and cut the grass..Sitting in PJ at moment just had a shower and hair wash...Need to dry this soon before my programme comes on at night....Left a glass of water in the freezer to get cold...Im an now breaking though the ice to drink it...
I will comment on your posts later...It seems we all have been enjoying the sunshine..

I wonder if Chester will be too hot for his usual lively welcome tomorrow.......I bet he will be trotting around like mad, tail wagging, with a toy in his mouth!!! lol

Morning All,
I did some clearing in the back garden yesterday as this was in the sort of shade. We have a little lowish brick wall along the edge from the bungalow past the new pond and it had all ivy growing up it. Took all that off which always takes ages. Dug out the brimbles that had grown along there too. I am about just over two thirds of it I should think. The next bit is a bit nasty as it has two old roses and oneof those little flowered yellow clemetis which has been in there 20 odd years. They have all grown together. OH chopped it back earlier this year and the rose is flowering over the other side of the wall.
Hope Jane, Ann and Maureen have a good day today. Hope it is not too hot for you all to enjoy yourselves and don't spend too much in the garden center!!
Frank hope Ros is feeling a bit better after her sleep yesterday and the pain has eased a bit today. Give her my love. Back pain is so terrible as you don't realise how your back moves with silly little movements of the rest of your body.
Think I may have to take my chest to the docs after all as I have been getting that pain across my back again. Think it may be muscular but not sure.
Pat it is good you now can see some light at the end of the tunnel with the repairs to your house after the water doing so much damage. It will be wonderful to have a kitchen back again after all that time. Did you say it was 6 months?

Mel it is 6 months since the damage..Working with no units after all this while does get you down......Hopefully they will start next week some time... THats while we had the rush of going out to find the bits we needed...
The first 3 days will just be putting different layers of plaster up on the wall and allowing this to dry inbetween ...We should have different tradesmen in every day then together... We break up from school in 4 weeks then Im off on my hols...If the worst of it is done by then I will be happy.
Jane ...I hope Hannah arrives back ok ..Think of all that washing... THe hot water will be on continuesly

She is home!.Looking rather sunburnt and grubby lol.I am leaving the washing to her.She Mum,you don't really want to touch it.She is now sat outside with James telling him all about it.I won't go into how they used the long drop loos but it sounds hilarious. They had to devise a way to go without touching the seat which was a 2ft or so high! She is now in the shower and says she will be gone a while lol
Mel Get that Chest of yours checked out.Better safe than sorry.Have a good day everyone.I expect you will get a couple of pics later of the 3 of us at the garden centre.Must be careful where we use the camera there as last time we were told we weren't supposed to take photos.I have no idea why!!

Morning All I didn't get on yesterday day as I spent most of the morning in bed, relaxing or sleeping. pain is not to bad now, I have been just drinking and drinking gallons of water and eating small quantities of low fat foods and snacks every 3 hours which is helping to keep the acid at bay. I was sorry to miss church and the special retirement party that was being held in the church for my our Minister who had now retired after 30 years of service, but would not have been able to keep going as I have no energy, also I have lost the few pounds of weight that I had put back on after my dad died,
SIL & Sofia came for dinner yesterday afternoon , daughter no 1 was at work, Sofia has grown and filled out a liitle in the face must be all the pasta she eat in Italy. she also had a bit of a light tan . she now is talking more and can say her name and calls out to everybody using their names. was glad daughter no 2 was there as she was kept busy playing as I still don't have the strenth to dash about, Daughter no 1 has to work on Wednesday so daughter no 2 boyfriend who works from home will come and help me look after Sofia till daughter no 2 comes in from work then SIL will come & take Sofia home.
Weather dry here but no sun, looks like you lot are getting it all again :-( :-)

Well it started off here nice and sunny. I went up the tunnel to water and did all that and a bit of digging. Turned off all relavant pumps and electic and went up the potting shed to turn the well pump on to fill my tank up. Did that and then went into the fruit cage to pick some tayberries and raspberries. Just got in there and picked a few and it started to rain!!!! it has clouded over now and still spits and spots. While picking I was bitten by a horse fly on the hand so have had to come down and put TCP on it and have just taken a antihystamen. Hope I don't fall asleep now!!
Just having a milky coffee.
Pat where are you going on holiday please?
Fiona poor you still under the weather. Do rest and give that grandaughter a big hug and kiss for me please. :-)
