Morning all,
You were busy chatting yesterday evening, Those VESTA meals. I remember the ones with crispy noodles. You threw them in hot fat and they danced around the pan like mad. Didn't realy like them, but like most people "HAD TO TRY THEM" !!!!!
I have been bitten on my leg, came up in a big lump. I covered it in "after bite" It took the sting out of it, but now I want to scratch it.!!!! I know if I do it will bleed down my leg. Have taken the plaster off my shin this morning. If I get the air to it, it should dry out and scab up. Something else to pick at . :-D :-D :-D :-D Not only would it be nice to lord it up at Luton Hoo. It would be nice to have the money tro do it as well.
When David gets all thiswork finished, the neighbours will be calling him "SIR DAVID" Posh or what !!!!
Jane. James should look on Eba# for his shoes. There are some real top makes i.e Barker#, Greenso#'s All brand new, some in box's some not. But all at far cheaper than you will get in stores.
Ros had a good night last night. but the pain has shifted from the hip area to the ankle and foot. I am thinking of cutting off the foot to see if that will clear it. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) All the veg done for dinner, meat ready for the oven, bed made washing up done for now. Going to run the hoover round to get rid of the cat hair. (he's moulting like hell) Now he's fast asleep on the top of the armchair on his blanket.

Afternoon everyone,
Been nice and sunny here this morning , now its clouded up and looks a lot like rain !!! we've lots of those little old Midges about ,tried sitting outside but they really annoy you . Been to a car boot this morning , bought some more books and a Wooden Cat for DIL she's started to collect them and now has a shelf full.
Ann, son and DIL caught the sun on Thursday , i think because it was sunny one minute and cloudy the next you don't realise your getting burnt ,until the end of the day , then you feel it, even little Katie's forehead looked a bit pink where the scab came off ,and she was well creamed up. The photo's were good ,loved the grass covered car and the bike , bet they turn a few heads , was the car drivable ? or just for advertising something ?
Glad to hear that Ros had a comfortable night , lets hope this injection gives her more relief from the pain than the last one .
Time for a cuppa, BBL

Frank,I know all about moulting.Chester is shedding his hair like mad.I think it is making him very uncomfortable. He does like a brush though so that helps. I will get James to have a look for shoes on there. He has whopping feet.11/12 and wide.Sometimes he actually needs to try them on though before buying.
I see I have just got home in time for the Mens Finals. It is going to a very sticky day for them. Hannahs friend didn't come the other day to take some of her things. She should be here about now.Hopefully she will have one of the settees.Hannah said she has settled in and slept like a log last night. She was having breakfast in the garden earlier.I bet she is so pleased to finally be away from here after all this time.I know I am happy about it lol.No more relying on good old Mum to do her washing, ironing ,cooking and buying this that and the other just if I happen to be going to Tes**.I think I might save a few bob lol.On the other hand James is a big strapping chap and eats me out of house and home.I can't win really :-S :-S

Afternoon Everyone,
Thanks for that Mandy.....I often don't spot these things until it's too late! The car was driveable I think and didn't appear to be advertising anything when we saw it. It was just parked among the other cars on the car park. Maybe it is owned by a turf company that does use it to advertise some of the time!! I wonder how they wash it!
Jane, that is good if Hannah slept well and is settling in. She's been very lucky to have you do all that for her and I'm sure she knows it. It will be good for her to have some space as you say and get back in the swing of looking after herself.
We visited MIL today and FIL had been to the dentist as he had had toothache. He signed up with a new dentist that was taking NHS patients and they were well taken with the place and friendliness. I think FIL was a bit put out though that as a 90 year old they had asked if he could get upstairs!!! lol They wouldn't know he always runs up them!!! I wish I could!! lol
I am sitting here with my tootsies in a tub of warm water with bath soak in. It is bliss!! It will soften the bit of hard skin on my heels and then I can put some foot balm on.....lovely!

Liz ,i don't think I have heard about that. Why would they say such a dreadful thing.Shame on them. Ann now you have reminded me.My feet could do with a good soaking and scraping lol,and then a good rub with some good foot cream. Hannah's friend came to collect the goods with her partner who is 6ft 10". Guess what his sport is???

We have had dinner, and the dish washer is on.
Been putting clocks on Eba#. One in a slate and marble made in the 1880s with a french movement. Bit tatty, but people do buy these things. We will see.
Nice afternoon here now, clear skies and warm.

How dreadful Liz......it makes you wonder what on earth goes on in some people's heads. They must have mighty big chips on their shoulders, no compassion and unbelievable callousness.

If you go onto Mail on Line, and click onto 'new's Jane, you and Ann will be able to read it for yourselves. It's quite unbeliveable, this wretched woman wrote all this guff on Twitter, of course she is now trying to backtrack,!bit late for that!!! Doesn't the new Duchess look thin? hope she's OK. Don't know about you but I think they make a handsome couple!

Hello all,
Went out this morning with oh to the garden centre to get some fish food and we had dinner there so I have'nt got to cook tonight really but have just chucked a chicken in the oven which we will have cold tomorrow.
It has been a really beautiful day here and very hot.
My back is much easier today, I am glad to say.
The minuet I read about those dried meals the name Vesta came into my head. Do you know you can still buy them. we used to buy the beef curry ones and the ones with crispy noodles Frank. You could also buy the noodles on their own.

Just popped in quickly to say hello, I'm making the most of this weather and have spent the last few days in the garden. Have bought a new table and chairs to go with my posh decking. It has been warm and sunny with a lot of cloud, evertime the sun goes in I get off my chair and do a bit of gardening then when the sun comes out I rush back to my seat again.
I hope this latest injection works for Ros Frank, is it too early to tell, and what have you been doing, I'm surprised you've got a leg to stand on ....lol what with being bitten and grazing your shin.
I remember those noddles, you had to fry them in very hot oil and I always burned them, and wasn't there a little sachet of probably soya sauce that went with it.
I bet you will miss Hannah, you are now outnumbered Jane, three to one counting Chester.
Loved the photos Ann, I wonder how they got that grass to stay on the side doors.
Hello to everyone, hope your back is better Mel, and both Fiona and Kim are feeling okay.
I love the boot sales too Mandy, spent about five hours wandering around one on Saturday, gives you an idea of how big it is. Normally to get there would take me about 15/20 minutes when the boot sale is on it takes about an hour.
Going to start dinner, omelette and salad.

I love sitting and soaking my feet , i get my book and settle down , i put a little salt in the water , i have one of those foot spa's ,but i usually just use a bowl, when they've had a good soak it feels like your walking on air LOL
Mel, glad to hear your back is feeling better today , don't do anything to upset it again ,keep taking it easy .
Maureen, that must be a huge boot sale to take five hours to walk round , the one we go to takes us about an hour , i could get carried away buying all sorts , what i did see , but didn't buy ,was one of those bells that you have hanging outside the door , they have them in pubs to call time , i quite fancy having one at the back door just for show ,not to use .
Jane , that's one tall man !!! have you a rick in your neck from looking up to him LOL

Evening all Been outside all day , church this morning then out with my chair and enjoyed this fine weather we are having at last. we had lunch outside and then spent an hour or two potting plants. then SIL & Sofia down at 3.00pm . I bought a paddling pool for Sofia and she's had a great time splashing in and out of the water. and splashing everyone else as well. She had her swimming costum on at first but I must have gone through another 2 pairs of shorts as she kept wanting to play with the watering can and got soaked twice We have just come in now as the sun has gone down behind next door, only thing about having a BBQ is all the dishes you have to carry outside and then carry them all back in again.
Must clear up the kitchen now and put on the dish washer.
