I bet FRANK was a little devil with water pistols! lol
Sofia will want the pool out every time she comes now Fiona. If you are keeping it for when she comes to you, you will have to hide it at times.
I'm glad your back is improving Mel. It amazes me when your back hurts just how much you use it. It seems to be in everything you do. I did some chicken tonight ready for tomorrow too.
Ouch! Did your OH have sandals on Mandy! I am always stubbing mine on the back wheels of supermarket trolleys when I have my sandals on.
Jane, that chap must have to duck to get through doorways. I bet you felt very small next to him. Still, you have a bit more room at home now! I hope you get on alright at the dentist tomorrow. It's good to have an early appointment, get it out of the way and not spoil the day.
OH made me laugh coming home from his mum's. He was keen to get home quick and go inside. I'll show you why when we get inside he said. Well as soon as we were inside he was unbuckling his belt!!!! Let's just say the cheap pants he bought the other week weren't up to the job!!! I told him there were too many sandwiches in his lunchbox! lol
It seems as if it will be a hot night here, so I'm off to bed now......
I wonder how Shirl is........haven't heard from her for a while.

Morning, Very humid here this morning. Sun hasn't broken through yet.
Had my shower and shaved, sitting in my underpants at the pooter with all doors and windows open.
Annx I never had water pistols, we used a bike pump, you could really give the other kids a sore leg, with the pressure it came out. I now play with the lads next door and two doors down. When I am watering the garden they come and asked to be sprayed. Their parents don't mind, and they go in doors soaked to the skin.!!!!!
It all happens for PAT today, If I were her I would get in the garden out of the way, and let them get on with it.
Jane, How would anybody have guessed what that chap played ???? You do treat me as an idiot. :-D :-D :-D :-D enough said !!!!
Hope Mel, is feeling a bit better today, must be very difficult with all that garden needing constant attention.
Ros, is going to venture out today, I neen to go the post office to post some things, and go to Tesc#. She can sit in the car, if she wants to, Don't hold your breath. She will want a nosey round !!!

Hello all,
Read all your posts quickly as I'm beginning to droop. Lovely day here again, but weather report said massive winds for the next few days with gusts up to 110 kilometres - Frank what would that be in mph????
I got out to a few shops yesterday without the wheelchair, just a small walk around specific ones and found a painting for the wall in reds and gold and matching cushions for the loungeroom. It has really brightened up everything and the cats particularly like the new cushions. I hope the ragdoll won't start chewing on them. We then had a cuppa with a friend at North Entrance. I hadn't been out of the house for about 3 weeks, so it was just what I needed. Watched some of the tennis, but fell asleep on the couch. Poor Raffy, I do love him, but the other fellow (how do you spell it???) was far superior on the day.
Off to see my daughter's doctor tomorrow in Sydney. That will be a long day, so I'll have to hit the cot early :-D
Have been speaking to Shirl via email. Her son is not too well, poor man and she has been doing some gardening and painting. It is really hot over there too.
Pat glad that things are moving along with your kitchen/bathroom. Won't be too long now, but will get a bit worse before it gets better. Tiles and colours sound really nice. Yes, I do know about people coming to the front door when I have been on the loo. Especially parcels being delivered; they can just leave them, but they do insist on knocking over and over and I can't get there any quicker.
Annx loved those ponies, are they wild or belong to someone?? Have never seen them before.
Vesta meals, I do remember them, really awful. I lost my last couple of posts. Things were going well for a while :-S
Off to watch Q & A, take care all. 9.34 pm EST
Son bought a rare magazine on e-Bay and it has been weeks, still waiting everyday for it to turn up. Poor old Joel. :-D

Afternoon All,
Muggy and hot here, especially for lugging rocks about!
The ponies are owned by gipsies Kim. Since I was a teenager they have grazed in the fields along the canal. They were used to pull their caravans years ago and are usually piebald coloured sturdy cobs with long hair over their feet. Many have a blue eye or even two.I think they have become quite valuable these days. I remember some stables I went to as a teenager had 3 of them being kept there for a few weeks. They were lovely gentle animals, very willing and had strong wide backs and it was like sitting in a chair. I'm glad you got out to the shops for a short while, I bet it lifts the spirits a bit when you can't always manage it. Good to have found something nice for your lounge too. I still haven't found the 'right' picture for over my settee. Thanks for letting us know Shirl is around.
Trust you to find something to use as a water pistol when you were a lad Frank!! You mind those lads you are spraying don't get you back!! lol I hope Ros doesn't overdo it today.
Mel, I slept in too till about the same time. I didn't go to sleep until about 3.00am though. I thought I was well tired too. I don't think lugging packs of beer will be very good for your back.......maybe you should wait till tomorrow?
OH was up early this morning and caught a squirrel pulling the onions up!! lol Do they eat them?? He has now gone to do some minutes standing in for someone who couldn't make it. It's only about 3 miles away. Then we are going for a carvery......I'm quite hungry, only had a couple of prunes, a yoghurt drink and beat a blackbird to a few loganberries in the garden today.
I wonder how Jane got on at the dentists?

Hello everyone Dentist went fine thanks Ann.He says my loose jaw joint could be caused by me grinding my teeth( I had no idea I have obviously don't it for years) or over stretching.possibly by biting into something hard or even a very wide yawn.He basically said to treat it gently ,no hard crunchy crusty food or things that take a lot of chewing and hopefully it will settle in some weeks. He will start to prepare my tooth for the new crown at the end of the month.
Kim I hope all goes well tomorrow with your daughters Doctor. That will be a long day for you.I bet you were really pleased with your new things for the lounge.
Fiona you must feel much happier having a bit more get up go.Hopefully you don't have to wait much longer for that appointment.
Now Frank, what gives you the idea that I treat you like an Idiot. As If I would do such a thing !!
Pat I do hope all goes smoothly for you now and there are no major hiccups :-S
Mel it must have you good to have a good lie in this morning and eased your back for a bit longer.
Poor Shirl. It must be very hard for her with her son being so poorly.Hopefully we will see her soon.
I bought a very nice top this morning, but it was so hot in the shop I couldn't stand the thought of trying it on then.So I brought it home to find it was far too big :-0 Which meant I had to go back in this afternoon to change it.I made sure I tried that one on and thankfully it was fine.I also got a nice necklace to go with it. Got some springy Sandals too in TK M**.

Afternoon all,
Ros took me to the Post Office, so I could post the Fishing reels. The chap behind the counter was so SLOOOOOOW. I had to wait almost twenty minutes and there were only FOUR people in fron of me !!! I came out shaking my head and Ros said SLOW !!!! I said if I ran my Post Office like that I would have been out of business. Then on to Tesc# She would insist on coming in. She strolled around with her trolley while I did the main shop. She was about buggered when she got home, is now asleep in the corner of the sofa. I have been sitting outside reading, but those little flys have driven me indoors !!!!!
Jane. Was the dentist trying to tell you, you have a BIG MOUTH :-D :-D :-D :-D Glad everything is ok with your teeth.
Kim, I have an old school friend who lives at SUSSEX INLET> NSW 2540 is that anywhere near you ?????. How far are you from SYDNEY.????
Fiona, Glad you are feeling a bit better.
Annx, The little boys try to squirt me with their water pistols over the fence, when I am watering, I turn my hose on jet and blasted them from my side. They need to be uo early to catch me.

Don't suppose you remember the Powdered Egg. My sister-in-law decided to make me an omlette, when home on leave from the WRAF in the war. She didn't mix it properly and the inside was full of lumps, put me right of powered egg for years.
Pat, You mentioned fighting with your brother. !!! I remember having a broom handle that was sawn in half for rounder bats. I wanted the piece with the rounded top. When my brother wouldn't let me have ,I smacked him across the head with the other bit, and knocked him out. Don't mess with Frankie boy !!!!!!

Did'nt go shopping as oh said this was the last day of the nice weather.
Have planted my iron trough up with busy lizzies and it is outside the back door.
Pat so glad things are starting for you and your new kitchen and bathroom. I hate waiting for people to call. If only people would come on time or when you expect them. Would'nt like to have to wash up in the bath, too far down :-(
Good to know that Shirl is ok and having some nice weather at last.
Tunnel all watered and I picked 2 and a half pounds of tayberries which are like loganberries.
Salad and cold chicken tonight. Lettuce, potatoes and radish out the tunnel and eggs from the hens. Should be nice and tasty. I shall have some courgettes this week as they are nearly big enough to pick.
Frank good that Ros is haveing a nice nap. If she pushed the trolley her back must be a bit better??
Kim the picture and cushions sound nice. It is always good when you have some new furnishings, makes the place look so different with just these little touches.

Evening all Been another lovely day, went to Calderglen Country Park this afternoon, about a 1/2 hours drive from us. adventure walks, Mini Owls & bird cages. and kids adventure park with climbing frames slides, etc. coffee and craft shop. Sofia had fun on the swings and was allowed to run free which she loved.
We then went shoping to Ar*os and daughter no 1 bought Sofia a her first trike , took daughter an hour to fix it together but Sofia loved it . Her gran in Italy had given daughter some money to buy one they were going to wait for a while before getting one. but daughter decided to get it today while the weather was good so Sofia would get a chance to ride it outside.

Frank.......fancy whacking your poor brother that hard! Was he younger than you??
Our post office in the village was slow too. The chap running it retired and they have put it in the co*p now. He used to be yak yak yak with everyone who came in..........no problem with that as some old dears live on their own and it must be nice, but all the time he was talking he stopped what he was doing!!!! lol
Glad your jaw ache wasn't the tooth Jane. At least that seems to be ok, fingers crossed.
Sofia is having a lovely time isn't she Fiona, a paddling pool and now a lovely trike........I bet it is pink!!! Her mum better get a good stock of plasters in ready for the inevitable bumps and scrapes!!

I have to be prepared to wait a fair time in our Post Office.(Barton Seagrave ).You get used to it ,and while waiting can look at all the lovely selection of cards they have.It is the best place around here for choice . Fiona ,I can just imagine Sofia on her little Trike .That beaming smile and huge eyes lol
I am off to bed now as I was awake on and off all night last night. There was a continuous humming noise .I think they may have been doing some work on the A14,and then of course the Birds woke up at 3.30,and the loudest one must have been just outside the window.Lovely as it sounds I just don't need to hear it at that time of the night :-S :-S Hannah's car is being collected at 8.30 to have the damaged back quarter sorted.I must make sure the key is handy ready to hand it over. So night Night for now .xx
