Afternoon all and evening Kim
Thank you all for your lovely cards and wishes.I see I have a cake and Rose here too. :-D :-D Aren't I a lucky gal.

Nothing special happening really today as Chris is at a meeting this until about 10pm.But we will be booking a meal at the Pheasant soon.
Fitz is coming up about 1.30 and James will be back from tennis then so I have got a few bits and bobs and we will have a bite of lunch together and maybe a little drinkie poo ;-)

I have had some lovely perfumes.Channel No *.(Maureens favourite),and a Gucc* one called Guilty.Lots of books ,an Orchid, and a voucher for a Manicure.Very nice to me thinks .I shall have that done when I have my relaxing eye treatment. Then I will be all Hunky Dory for the Graduation and then the Wedding.
It's looking a bit black out there.I am hoping to be able to eat in the garden.
Just realised it is nearly 1 o clock so I had better start getting some grub together.
Back Later this afternoon.

I know Mel, it'll take ME a bit of getting used to! apparently Liz on it's own had already been taken, that's why I had to add my maiden name!! Nasty wet day here, so am doing some History research to keep me out of mischief! You all seem to do so much ironing! I'm afraid I iron as little as possible, only things that actually 'show', but then I'm lazy!!!!"

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 6 Jul 2011 15:54

Nice to see you Shirl. Have you tried the vasilene round the nose as others have suggested for hayfever??

Annx

Annx Report 6 Jul 2011 17:10

Lovely Chanel* Jane, my favourite too! I put some on for Luton Hoo but it probably evaporated in the heat!! lol What a pity Fitz is indisposed!!! Nice of him to have popped round with the flowers.......just hope he didn't have to pop home even quicker!! I thought you would be 'tied up' celebrating this evening, (not literally unless you got something wrapped up in brown paper!! ;-)) Well, I could have been there bringing my Ipanema cocktail mix to toast you......OH is at a meeting in Northampton!! lol

Good to hear from you Shirl............sorry to hear your son has had a setback, hope he's improving again. Frank as KING TUT....lol Maybe he should just get the bandages on before he does anything!! :-D :-D

I splash my face and eyes with water before I go to bed Shirl, to wash as much pollen off as I can. They say wearing glasses helps, especially wrap around ones so get your 'cool dude' shades on when you are outside!! I find hayfever makes me very tired too.

OH got his bike out this morning to see if he could see any cause for the puncture in his front wheel........I was surprised as it was quite a small thorn on a twig, no bigger really than the one's roses have. He's got the wheel off now and I think he will drop it in at the cycle shop for them to repair tomorrow when his car goes in for service.

On the subject of cars, mine went in this morning for them to fix the passenger mirror problem (won't adjust in and out only up and down) The mirror was replaced last year after a lorry knocked it off while parked and when I noticed the problem I took it back to the repairer but they looked at it, replaced something and then said it was nothing to do with the accident, it was from the adjuster switch on the opposite side. The chap at the Pe*geot garage rang me after half an hour to say it WAS the mirror, nothing to do with the switch after all!! There was no charge thank goodness so off I went back to the repairer to explain. No quibble about it, they have just ordered another new mirror. To think I nearly didn't bother as it was ok for me in the position it was and was going to cost over £100. Now hopefully it will get fixed.

Liz, I shall be thinking you are someone new!! lol

Mandy, Katie is a little poppet too isn't she, but she won't fit her dolly's pushchair much longer will she! Thanks for the pic.

What happened Mel.......did you stop bidding??

We've only had a few spots of rain today, but it is quite breezy now.

Frank

Frank Report 6 Jul 2011 17:20

Hi all,

Pity you couldn't have your feast Jane, around here it started raining about 12.30 and has been on and off all afternoon.

Hi Shirl, Glad to see you about. I am glad to say the scald on the back of my hand has cleared up , my fingure has healed up, and the scab on my shin is ready for PICKING eh. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Liz, It will take some getting used to, seeing the name change

Didn't get round to putting plants in as we have had heavy showers all afternoon.

Pat, You mean to say you were in doors with the plasterer ON YOUR OWN ;-) ;-) ;-)

Raining AGAIN here, and quite chilly, think we shall have a fire tonight. Person at the end of our house chain (only 3 of us) who is in rented, has now announced that he has to get a mortgage!! His valuer has been today,, it shouldn't be a problem, but where have we ALL heard that before!! our buyer is now happy with coming here, BUT we now have Mr mortgage to get organised! Is it ever worth it?!!

Jane, what a shame you couldn't have your bite to eat and a little tipple with Fitz at lunch time , but then you don't want the trots do you !!!
You've had some nice things for your birthday you lucky girl.

Hubby and i went to the coast this afternoon , he couldn't get on with his work as it was a roof job and its been raining here off and on during the day , the tide was in and the sea looked really grey ,but there was only a small shower while we were there , we were back home by four o'clock .

Oh Liz, a new name !! will have to remember its you :-)
Why didn't he sort his mortgage out sooner !!! that's men for you !! it's good that your buyer is now happy with moving to yours , fingers crossed for again !!! lol

That's nice that James thought to ask Jane, but he would probably have been shocked if you'd said yes.

I have just done a bit of dusting and hoovered the hard floors and one of the bedroom carpets and I'm done in!! I'm thankful OH gets the hoover out and gets the big bits up from time to time. Pheww!! A cool drink now I think.

I just lost a long post(SO FRUSTRATING) :-( :-( :-(
I can't say it all again. So I will say night night now.I need to be up and ready in the morning to get off to Milton Keynes with James. He has an appointment with his lap top at the Appl* Store.I think at 10.30 and it will take about an hour to get there and find the right place to park.

Shirl I hope your son will soon be back on track again.Fingers crossed the journey to Toronto will be a smooth one.

Toodle pip for tonight xx
