The weathers been awful here raining all morning. Frank thank for your compliment about me on my picture with my brother I was five and he was eight and it was the days before my mum frizzed up my hair making me have a perm on something that was like a space machine plugging me up i had sores in my head I was about ten then.
That photo was taken two days before I went school for the first time i was so timid and would not say boo to a goose and on my first day at school the infant teacher took my red apple off me and put it on her desk I spent the whole morning looking at it and crying and saying I want to go home. The teacher gave it me back lunch time. But mid afternoon I had enough of school and simply walked out and hid in the toilets outside until my mum came and picked me up.The whole of the infant staff were looking for me. I was a pain. But being cute everyone made a fuss of me in the family.I was the only girl granchild. I had a pink jumper and my brother was in a blue lumber jacket. He had freckles on his face and the big version is on my wall in the lounge. My brother blew it up. Beryl said I had big eyes like a owl my hubby said now she looks like one.
I had to do the shop hubby was glued to the tv watching Andre Rieu and I had to go on the web and get the cd of him in Ireland. My ho had never heard of him and was very impressed
My friend Annie sent me some lovely flowers today to thank me for looking after her when she hurt her foot and for helping her bed the plants.
Jane what are you doing having hair coming out your chin I thought that was me I pulled a long one out and it nearly killed me. You do not look old enough love.
Well my brother might look a sweet little soul on the photo but he gets up everyones nose now he is seventy five and the paint I think was thrown for spite while he was away. However the guy said he was painting his trellis but three paint tins do not believe it.
Well will go and get ready to shop 13 miles away in Redditch Worcestershire my every Sat trip with hubby and daughter Michelle. The countryside is nice and when you live in Selly Park Birmingham you need a bit of country scenary. Nice place to eat our tea.
Beryl the peril does tell lies she said she was having an operation and all she is having is a few lines removed round her mouth. My hubby said maybe they will stitch it up whiles shes there no comment. Donnies all metal Jane his piercings are sick. I had my ears pierced in my thirties and my left ear bleeds when I put ear rings in it. Ann that was funny Franks computor bugged. but how annoying Frank I had a glass plant container it had a glass front and the flies used to go in it and I would be sitting watching tv and see flies trapped in the glass trying to get out I chucked it in the end they were walking up and down and looked bigger inside the glass it gave me the creeps. Beryl got it for me from a jumble sale it had some nice flowers I re potted them.

The sun is out!!.Will it last? Chris is hoping if it stays dry now he might get the lawn cut.
James is off to Kent tomorrow to see his girlfriend .We will meet them on Tuesday at the Hotel before going out for a meal.Graduation on Wednesday looks like a wet day :-S.I am really looking forward to seeing Canterbury Cathedral. Will have plenty of tissues in my handbag for when I see my 'boy' .No photos allowed to be taken in the Cathedral. But I'm sure there will be a professional photographer who will snap each Graduate .More EXPENCE Frank lol.
Now it is as black as your hat ,so I think mowing the lawn is a no no today.
When I woke this morning ,and it was dark and wet,I had this funny memory. It was just the kind of day when it would be too wet to play outside and so I would have been happy dressing up my Paper Bunty Doll .(with the fold over tabs).Sorting out what outfit to wear and which accessories lol It was weird ,as it gave me a funny feeling in my tummy.I could just picture myself as a 10/11 year old sat on my bedroom floor surrounded by Bunty's clothes. It made me feel a little emotional for a moment.Silly old fool :-D

Your OH is funny Sheila with his quips about Beryl. lol He is becoming a fan of Andre too by the sound of it. I think they are broadcasting his show at Maastrict by satellite on 26th July to certain Vu* cinemas. I would go only it will be the same show I saw on his tour I think.
It's good that Hannah is finding it easy to settle down in London Jane. I'm sure she could make somewhere else very nice too. What a shock that letter was.....good she got it sorted straightaway.
I didn't get my ears pierced till I was 40 and I can still remember my mother's disapproving look! She thought it was common too. It was the same with the first black bra I bought!!! I hid it for a while and washed and dried it when she was out. There used to be a kind of tut and then the 'look'. She didn't do or approve of cleavage either. 'You need a safety pin in that' she'd say, even after I was married!! lol
You have 2 great events coming up Jane. It will be lovely to see baby Ethan too. What with that, the wedding and James making you proud, you will need a whole box of tissues!
Rain is pelting down here again.......better shut some windows.

Bought a few things for my kitchen...like a new washing up bowl..lol and some new doormats..Even the bathroom didnt get missed out..A new bath mat for the bath..
Was it you Jane that bought some new nickers lol...I got three pairs for £10 from M....and Spence..
Got soaked going from the car park to the shops this morning,,The sun is trying to come out now.
What a shame for a bride this morning...There was a horse and carriage in a layby under a bridge trying to shelter ..Its was bucketing down... .I bet the bride was in tears waiting...

Afternoon everyone , Talk about Rain !!! we were stuck in the car for a while ,it was tipping down !!! I think it has now stopped .
Had Jake here this morning ,he didn't want to go shopping with his mum and dad ,he's been on the laptop playing a game of golf with Shaun the Sheep , he thought it was fun breaking the green house glass in the game ,hope i'am nt turning him into a vandal !!!!!
Pat , what a palaver with your workman , they just don't seem to be able to get things organised between them do they !! Hubby's lucky with plumber he works with they seem to work well together . Would be nice to get it all done before you go away .
Ann, what lovely photo's of the birds ,the poor little babies ,don't they look funny little things :-)
Kim, so although your in the middle of your winter ,you can still sit out on a sunny day , don't think we'd be doing that here on a sunny day in the middle of January !! lol
Glad your back is better Mel , i wonder were your Phil has gone , has he wander off before ? hope its not down to a fox !! you'll have to get your gun out !!
We've been renewing hubby's van insurance today , boy that's shot up !! We went on line and found it cheaper with the same company (Avi*a), when we rang them up about it ,the difference was the no claim discount wasn't protected with the cheaper one on line , so we paid for the dearer one ,MORE EXPENSE !!
Those pesky little midges get every where , i had an ant crawl out of the key board the other day !!! :-S I think son bought some sort of puffer spray thingy for blowing in around the keyboard to clean it , will have to get him to do mine .
DIL had her belly button pierced a few years ago , she fainted too !! i don't think she puts a stud in there now i expect its sealed its self up now . I had my ears pierced when i was in my twenties , one side the earring goes in no bother the other side i always have to pierce through the skin again each time, i only put ear rings in if we're off out any where special.
Time for a cuppa i think .

You can get get computer bugs,or viruses imported on e-mail attatchments that have been to other computers and trandfered God knows how many times.
Our 2 piece suite was given away to a neighbour today. Until the new one arrives we have to sit on the dining room chairs, but Ellen's just advised me she is giving away the dining room table and chairs as well.
What do we do for 6 weeks, sit on the floor? I'm not stingey, but I do feel very annoyed on this occasion.
The man employed to finish my kitchen was going to come on Thursday or Friday or Saturday.
It's now 17.05 on Saturday and I haven't even had a phone call from him :-( :-( :-S

Sheila ,I have fair hair on my face ,but some are a bit longer than they should be lol. They need to be zapped by electolysisI don't know that anyone else notices them other than my OH and Son.I get comments like oh Mum you are turning into Grandma :-S.Only takes a few minutes to do and it makes me feel much more at ease.I can't see them shining in the sunlight .
Anne yes it was me and the pants. These were the Magic ones.I have to say I think I looked even worse as the lining of my dress clung to them. They are going back.I did ask if I could return them.As long as you wear your own pants underneath to try them and keep the card thing that goes on the hanger they will refund. They cost £19.50 !! So Monday I will be taking them back.I have had the 3 pairs for £10,the ones with a NVPL(non visible panty line. They are brilliant. Funny you should mention a wedding Pat.As I sat in the car at the traffic lights this morning just outside a Church in the pouring rain I thought about the weddings that would be happening today. Those beautiful wedding dresses being soaked at the bottom with wet muddy water :-S

What shaveing cream do you use Jane ???? I find the foam one best :-D :-D :-D No. you can't come and give me a trhick ear !!!!
I picked about three pounds of Runner beans this afternoon. Done a load for Dinner tomorrow, and frozen the rest in little bags, enough for meals for Ros and I. If more people come I can open more bags. Emptied anonther bag of potato's got enough for a good feast tomorrow for five of us. Must say I am not that impressed with the results.
Everybody seems to have been caught out in the rain today. I stayed in doors, so i'm allright JACK.!!!
Lewis and Ros are watching Harry Potter on TV they say it's the first one made. I have been in the conservatory reading. I get feed up watching TV.
David You are thinking of the wrong type of BUG. :-) :-) :-)
They are deciding if they want Chinese or Indian tonight. I will go along with either as I like them both.

When we were kids, on a rainy day, we would sit at the window, and count how many cars went down the road Not many in those days, also see how many kinds of birds you saw. Mainly Sparrows and Starlings. the odd blackbird, but never the tits and robins. We had to go over the fields for them. Another horrible thing we did was to get the garden sieve, prop it up with a stick tied to cotton, put breadcrumbs under it and try to catch birds. If we did we would put them in Mum's hat bag, till we knew she was coming home, then scramble to get them outside and clean out the birds SH## from the bag She never caught us, thank goodness. or that would have been thick ear time.

We're all feed and watered. Ros only had crabmeat soup and spring roll. Lewis had chicken soup, spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style, and I had Duck in plum sauce and rice.
All the veg done for tomorrow. Meat in the fridge, ready to go in the oven when needed. So I have a day to myself tomorrow, till Harvey and Julia arrive. If it's dry, I might put some more veg seeds in. i.e. carrot, raddish spring onion and a few cabbage. My cauli's aren't anywhere near ready. When did Chris plant his Jane ????
Turned out to be a nice sunny evening here, How is it everywhere else.???

OMG yes Jane, how sharp the back edge of the heel would be. The plasters didn't always stay in place either.....ouch!!!!
Frank it is fine here now as well. OH said there had been no rain all afternoon 20 miles further north.
We have some beige coloured caterpillars eating the actual tomatoes. I don't want to spray them so wonder if a watering of washing up liquid in water would shift them.
David, can you not hang on to 2 of the dining chairs for a few weeks and then pass them on to who Ellen is giving them to?
I'm off to bed now. The antibiotics today have made me feel iffy......only 14 more of them!!
Night, night and sleep tight......
