Ann, my DIL finds all the bargains lol she very rarely buys things at full price ,even the childrens clothes she will buy in the sales !! but she won't buy children's clothes at the boot sale .
I was very tempted by a sewing machine at the car boot , £25 and it looked quite new !! mine has gone wrong ,i must get it looked at .

No Jane didn't say what it was she had to do at the wedding did she , she's had other things on her mind , i hope they all enjoyed today and that it was dry for them , looking forward to some photo's .

I expect David is busy packing up last minute things , the kettle will probably be the last thing to pack and the first thing out of the box !!

Family all gone home now, SIL came for Sofia & also took daughter no 2 & boyfriend home.

Mandy ,glad little Chelsea's finger is not to bad, daughter no 1 phoned me yesterday concerned over Sofia's right ear it was all bruised in the inside and outside, the bruiseing just appeared yesterday afternoon and daughter couldn't imagine where it come from, it was not till daughter no 2 saw it this afternoon that she remembered Sofia falling on Monday evening and bumping the right side of her face, she did not cry so we didn't make a big thing about it. I was not in the room at the time so didn't see it happen, we think that could be why the ear is bruised, told daughter no 1 just to keep an eye on it.

Well I'm going to tidy up all Sofia's toys now she is gone, I really must start getting her to help pick them up and but them away herself with just a little help from gran :-D :-D

Annx Report 20 Jul 2011 20:23

She's very good then Mandy.....makes the pennies buy more! When you look how much the clothes are reduced in sales and how soon they grow out of them it makes sense.

There was a harassed dad with 2 tots in the waiting room at the docs this morning. When their names were called, he got up saying come on children, but by the time he got out of the door the little girl had run back in the waiting room for her dolly and the little boy was heading out of the building through the automatic doors thinking they were going home!!! The dad didn't know which way to turn. Then in the chemist the little boy was playing on the chairs with his sister waiting for dad who was in a queue. Dad just shouted come on and started striding out of the shop with the little girl racing behind. The little boy panicked and jumped down off the chair, missed his footing and banged his head on the chair quite hard, but was up like a shot and racing after his disappearing dad who hadn't even noticed!!

I was just thinking of Mel trying to get that kitty's paw out of the bike wheel and all the scratches she must have got!! Not an easy job!!

They get these bruises and you wonder how they get them ,Katie has another bump on her head again ,at the moment it's why walk when i can run ,and then down she goes , my heart is in my mouth with her some times :-S
The little ones do clear up now , they have a race to see who can put the most away ,but i still find cows and pigs and lego under the chairs and sofa LOL

Well that's me done for today , Night Night everyone .

Mandy glad the finger was'nt too bad today for Chelsea, I bet she won't do that again either!

Waiting for OH to come home from ringing. Have got my hoover bags roday so had a good go through while he was out. Washed my hair too. So I have been quite busy and got a lot done today.

Morning Everyone from a very tired me.
Have just sent a few pics but none with me in I'm hoping Hannah might have something better on her camera that she will pass on to me.
It was a great day and just such a wonderful place to have the ceremony.Luckily the rain stayed away .It was cloudy and very warm ,and when we came out of the Cathedral it was very breezy .
Hannah went Frank she came down on the train from London, and James's girlfriend Jess was there too.We had a lovely meal out on the Tuesday night in a little village just 10 minutes from our Hotel.
I have been trying to count the number of Graduates but keep loosing count.James was the 139th on to collect his certificate and I think all in all there were between 400 and 500.It got a bit tiring clapping for each one lol

I have to go out now but will BBL.
I hope all goes well today for David and the move.

Frank Report 21 Jul 2011 12:22

Afternoon all,

Jane, so pleased everything went well for you yesterday, and the rain stay off. When you said Hannah went Frank. I read it as Hannah DID a Frank. I thought she had fallen over. :-D :-D :-D :-D

David will be in the panic mood at the moment. Making sure everything gets packed, and unloaded into the right rooms. :-S :-S :-S :-S

Don't push your luck Mel, The washing will still be there tomorrow. Enjoy the sunshine. We haven't got it here, just showers. I will have to dodge them to go to get a few pots for dinner tonight. Made a Lasagne for tonight with Garlic bread and new pots. Hows that tunnel coming on.????

Annx, We had our fence down in the year of the floods. My son bought all the materials up on his truck, We got it unloaded in all the rain. He then had to go and lay three lawns with turf. As he had spent a lot of time with me. I went with him to help. The rain was so heavy, it was washing the earth away as we laid the turf. It was for a three show houses, so it didn't matter just needed green grass all around. I know that year. Might have beeb 96/98. The country was flooded and Northampton streets were under 4ft of water in places Will have to Google it.

I trust Kim is feeling a bit better today and taking care of herself.

Shirl, Did you find your way home from Qntarrio. :-D :-D :-D :

Trust all my dear friends are well, and have a good day.

Hello everyone,

Just passing through to the couch. Wishing you all a good day - not much energy at the moment. Torrential rain continuing, strong winds and flooding, but still here. OH had to clear drains down the side of the house and the water was just reaching the bottom of the windows. All clear now.

Fiona bloody annoying and so rude when tradespeople can't ring to say they are running late or can't make it at all.

Looking forward to seeing the pics when it is finished Pat.

Off to watch tv - I will catch up with all your posts tomorrow.

Bye for now, Kim 9.34 pm EST

Afternoon All
Thanks for the photo's Jane , Wow what a lot of people, I can imagine your hands would have been red raw with all that clapping, James looks very smart and very proud, what a lovely girl Hannah is too.
Glad you all had a lovely day and it's so good that the weather was warm & dry.

OH due home any minute, landed at Edinburgh Airport an hour ago, so I will have to get the kettle on.

I was going to the park with Sofia this morning but she fell asleep in the car, so daughter no 1 just went home.

It's dry at the moment of to put some washing on the line.

Afternoon All,

I bit of drizzle here earlier, but we went out in the garden and did a few more feet of rocks. OH had to shovel a lot of soil away and lift out some rocks from where they were and put them near to me ready for their new position. I can't believe all the ants nests we've disturbed and they don't like it one bit and give quite a nip!! When we'd had enough we got showered and went to treat ourselves at The Shires at Peatling Parva where they do a good deal for 'seniors' on a 2 course carvery!!! Four meats and a big selection of veg, we both had apple and blueberry crumble to follow. OH could hardly move after and is flopped out reading the paper now!! lol

What lovely pics of James and Hannah Jane!! Very natural. Sounds like you had a memorable day and tingly fingers from all the clapping. There were quite a few to clap for!!

Frank, it was quite a day when your son did your fence by the sounds of it, both of you soaked to the skin!! No wonder you remember it so well. I remember all those floods everywhere. It was memorable too when ours blew down. OH rang me in hospital the day after I'd had an operation to tell me!!

Methinks Mel will be in the garden today and her OH doing the drive. Do you ring at more than 1 church Mel? It shows fine weather till after the weekend here so I think a couple of loads will be in the washer later.

What awful weather Kim, floods and torrential rain and your poor OH having to go out in it and clear drains!! I hope you get some energy back soon, but I expect you need to take it easy a bit after the trip to the docs. I love the pic of you as a baby......such a smiley girl!

Hope you get your washing dry Fiona.

Oh dear I hope David hasn't got this rain we have got.I have just spent 20 minutes stood in a shop doorway in town.No coat ,no umbrella ,and just flimsy sandals.
Frank,Hannah often does do a Frank. Her knees have lots of scarring to show for it. :-S
Kim I hope you get your energy back soon.It must make you feel pretty miserable.

Pat,I'm so sorry you have had all these extra problems. You must be tearing your hair out with it all now. When is it you are off? Is it Saturday?I hope you have plenty of Vodka left ;-)

I seem to have not read some of the posts from yesterday,I must go back and have a proper read.
I gather Chelsea has caught her finger in something. That would be so painful for her.I hope it is a bit better today.

I have so much to do .Rachel ,Darren and little Ethan will be here tomorrow .I would like to have things looking at least a bit straight and all the ironing out of the way.I do need to get a couple of shirts done for Chris and James for the wedding on sunday.I think everything that needs ironing can now wait until next week .
Will be back in a while.I need to put 3 massive Pizzas away.I have no idea how I'm going to fit them in the fridge!!!!!.Silly me I should have waited and just bought them tomorrow. :-( :-(

I was thinking along the same lines Shirl. although I was going to say evenif the walls didn't get plastered I think I would have been by now Pat.
You and your brother look a bit older in your photo. I've changed mine again, got a bit bored yesterday.

I'm on the right and my eldest daughter on the left sporting the same hairstyle. Think it is late 60's, that dress, black with white polka dots was nylon, and very short I seem to remember. It was the 'flower power' era and I had a trouser suit, again in nylon, with a brown background and massive orange flowers all over it.

Hope all is going to plan for David and his move.

Thanks for the photos Jane, haven't seen them yet, will do that now.

Kim I hope you are feeling better today, are your symptoms worse in the cold weather. It's surprising what a bit of warm weather can do.

Frank

Frank Report 21 Jul 2011 16:50

Afternoon one and all,

Trust David's move was successful, and not to much stress.

Annx, Those floods were April 1998. Just looked on Google. Around the affected area's of Northampton, they have built flood defences. It seems KIM could do with those at the moment.

I have been busy loading stuff on Ebay. Load of old tools, clocks, more books. I think I have got the bug. How much do you think I will get for ROS :-D :-D :-D :-D No I didn't say that. I think I have about 15 items for sale. The last lot I sold, Ros bought a new bracelet !!!!

Weather not sure what to do here. Been sunshine and showers all day. Did you get wet then JANE ha ha ha

Jane

Jane Report 21 Jul 2011 17:21

Frank are you talking about the floods at Easter that year?
My Sister was here and we we due to go down to stay with Mum in Plymouth. My Garage was flooded out totally and we couldn't get out of the drive.I know we were in our nighties and welly boots outside trying to turn the gas off as the water in the garage was almost at the boiler level. If you picture the fields at the back of the big house opposite where you lived on Baton Rd,they are on a slope ,so all the water came down to us :-S :-S :-S
I didn't get too wet Frank.I didn't dare leave the doorway in the down pour otherwise I would have had see a see through top ;-) ;-).I had the pants bored off me by some chap who was also sheltering about the state of the country and the price of everything :-S.I tried to make a quick escape as soon as the rain eased.
Chris has just got out to mow the lawn.He seems a bit of a misery today.I think he is Knac****d and has to be up at 5am to go to Oxford for some meeting.I just called him a grumpy old g*t .Don't it went down too well lol

Hi All
It's pouring down here, running rivers down the street, glad I brought my washing in was bath mats, still wet , they take ages to dry,
Yes I do hope David and Ellen had a good move, OH said he flew over the North East coast today and from the plane window he could see for miles it was really clear.

I've not been feeling all that great this afternoon with my digestion, OH says he'll just warm up some rice pudding for my tea , I'm not very hungry. still waiting to hear from the hermatoligist (SP) about my white blood cells, and still no appointment for a Endiscope. :-( all this waiting is hard work :-\)
