Evening All

David I remember the miners strike in 1984-1985. We lived in Fulwell ,Sunderland and were trying to sell our terrace house at the time. we had several viewers and we thought we had sold it as a young couple put in an offer , we accepted the offer but they came back two weeks later and said they were pulling out as both the man and the woman had lots their jobs both worked for the coal industry.

i'm of to bed now.
Night night all,

Hope everyone is safe tonight. SIL's hubby is going fishing tomorrow so she has to take him to Bude as he is fishing the canal there. Still waiting for the tin for the roof on the new build. Today OH put another line of stone on and it now looks better.

Everyone in bed and am just going myself.

Took some lovely pics at the Camelford show of the shitre horses called Star, the grey and Marlewy the dark bay one. Then Leo and Jim and another with so much on him you could hardly see the horse. There were brasses and bells and all sorts. My camera was full so BIL lent me his for the Wtiches Museum. Still have'nt found the lead to download the pics from my old camera!!

May go out tomorrow with SIL but may be on here.

Hope everyone is ok. Love to all and thinking of you all.

Good that Ros has eaten something. Good that Sheila is safe and well as I have been worried about her.

NIght night or should I say morning all.

Morning All.

You were up late last night Mel. Sounds like you had a lovely day.

My wallpaper is now up...Just waiting on a call to see when they can paint it lol..

Fiona hope you are feeling better today.

Frank ..glad to hear that Ros is going to Conrads for a change of scene. Do I know who Conrad is sorry... All these men comming into my house to do the decorating,,My hubby Alan said when I go t up at 6.30 just as he was leaving for work said ..Are you waiting for Frank ;-)

Ann ,,,My back is really aching today.. But you do get carried away when on a roll. I hope you manage to take your top back another day ok ,I agree with you if the rioters were our ancestors they would be shipped off to Australia,,Sorry Kim...

Mandy,,,I miss having my caravan in Snettisham...Loved popping along the coast to the different beaches...Wells is nice but I have never walked along the wall to the beach there..always driven down there by car...The quay is nice ..Used to take M in L there..But the coffee shop on the corner has now vanished ...

Jane good news you havent got to worry about the car now it has been sold... Its not our fault we are short..Im only 5ft 1/2 inch...I cant reach the top shelves in my cupbaords lol..

Catch you all later...better get dressed now incase I get a phone call..Had to rush out a to rescue the dustbin that has just been emptied we are on a slight hill...Just started to rain now...I have an excuse not to do any more gardening... Today is the day they collect the glass to recycle
here. A man walks down the road and tips the black boxes into a big wheelie bin...The noice wakes you up...but I have got into the habit of waking early now ....but then i usually keep waking up about t 4ish and sometimes takes me a while to get back to sleep.

Bye again

Good night Mel or good morning.

Morning Pat.
Still feeling yucky this morning , mainly when I have to pick anything up, I am using an old walking stick , a friend from church gave it to me to help with my streaching exercises, it's handle is ideal for scooping up the clothes of the floor lol :-)

Missed WDYTUA last night, so have just watched it on catch up while having my breakfast. June Brown is a fantastic lady for her age. and to travel around finding out her family history that like. a very touching programe.

Morning All,

Back in the land of the living now after a nice sleep.

Rained here earlier on and it is overcast now. BIL going fishing today so not sure what Chrissy and I will do.

Yesterday OH stoned some more of the wall but his waiting in did'nt get the tin delivered. Goodness knows when it will arrive.

Pat a little more progress then at last with the paper going up. Lets hope it is all over soon and you can get back to normal.

Fiona sorry to hear that you are still feeling sick, I do hope they can sort this problem for you soon.

Ann, how's your back this morning, a bit easier I hope. Had a bit of a twinge in mine again yesterday after all the walking we did.

I must just say again I have never seen a shire horse with so much tack on as the one at the show yesterday. I have a pic to send you taken with BIL's camera as my card filled on mine. I did'nt take the big camera, I took the one that I have lost the downloading lead of as the pics are smaller and I can send them more at a time instead of waiting ages for one to load.

Sheila, April is a naughty girl doing things like that with the dogs and cats. Hope you are keeping safe in this crazy world.

Morning all,

You are a busy lot today. All this going out. I have no plans for anything, other than, perhaps getting a few bits again from Tesc#. What a boring life I lead. Am thinking of asking Ros if she would like to go to Conrad's on her own, I feel down today, so would like some time on my own. I bet when I mention it she will say, "I'M NOT GOING EITHER" I can never be right. !!!!

Pat. Conrad is Ros's youngest son,42 years of age and lives with Jan. in Edith Weston, Rutland. He's very good to us. Has taken us on all sorts of Holidays over the years, when his business was doing so well. He and Jan paid for us to go on a World tour, with all spending money included.. That was Feb/March 2007.

You girls are real little short ars##, 5'2" eyes of blue. etc etc. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Saw the SAGA advert on T.V. about Genes, It made me remember that I was named after the MILKMAN. I don't think for any other reason, that they couldn't think of a NAME being the last one, of 10.

Hope you all have a good day today, and miss all the showers/rain that we are expecting.

Afternoon everyone,

Very windy again , but lots of nice sunshine.

Frank , you really must stop repeating yourself !!! LOL must be your age !!!!!

Glad you had a good day yesterday Mel, enjoy Bude today , and try not to spend to much !!!lol

Pat , we've walked all the way down to the beach at wells , lovely walk if its fine , although there is a little train that takes you as far as the caravan site , the little ones went on last year and loved it .
The tea shop on the corner has been gone a long time , we usually go to one up the main street .

Got the family coming for tea today , Shepards Pie , Runner Beans ,Carrots and Peas , then Apple Crumble for pud , that should keep them happy .

Well I never. It looks like Ros will go to Conrad and Jans on her own. I am trying to get her to stay till next Friday. Jan can take her to hospital on Thursday, and it won't be as far for her to travel. Then she can come home, either Thursday evening or Friday.

I am feeling so down, I will be best, left to my own devices. I won't starve, and I will find things to do, to pass my days. Would love to know why these feelings come over me.

Sorry Mandy, I left them on ,so you can see the trouble I am having with the site.

Trying to post. But still getting ERROR PAGE

Lol Frank ,Did you say something? I had trouble yesterday with posts appearing more than once. But I think I managed to delete before anyone saw them.
I think you have been under a huge amount of strain worrying about Ros Frank, and have coped brilliantly. This will be why you feel like you would quite like to have a bit of time to yourself.I think if Ros understood ,then she might be happy to go to Conrads .We know what you can get like sometimes :-S :-S :-S and I don;t think either of you could do with any major blow ups.A little bit of space can do wonders.

Mel ,love the Horses.Aren't they beauties. It looked quite breezy with their manes blowing .I hope the weather is good for Bude today.

Just going to start some ironing. No cooking tonight as we are off out.James will cook his own.

hoorah, I'm back, computer fixed at last, I really did miss not being able to use it, a bit like being without a phone.

I haven't had a chance to catch up on all the posts, I'd still be here next week, so be patient if I ask things that have already been answered.

Did you all get the photos in the end? Think the computer must have been on the blink then and I'm pleased to say it wasn't my fault in the end, although the keyboard didn't help, everytime I switched on the internet this notice came up about viruses and did I want it fixed, I thought it was all part of my anti virus thing but it was actually a virus, so anything that comes up now I just click cancel, s-i-l had to pass it to one of his friends as it was even too much for him to fix.

All quiet in my area, I don't live near any high street or shops but
Ealing took quite a battering which is only about 5 miles away. What an earth makes people go on the rampage like that. Glad you were okay Sheila, I did think of you when I saw Birmingham was another target.

Frank, are you on medication, maybe that is what makes you feel down sometimes. I tell you what works for me, singing, I put a favourite CD on and sing at the top of my voice :-D

Have seen lots of baby Harry lately, he is another little smiler just like his cousin Finley, although he is going to be as dark as Finley is blond, must take some photos next time she's over.

It is good to be back, have missed you all <3

Hi Everyone

The weather here is awful, wet cold and just miserable. Sorry to have neglected you all recently but I have not been very well and do tend to retreat into myself when things are not good.Have spoken to Doc today and am having to take pain killers every few hours to keep the pain away. Both of my knees are very swollen and causing my legs and back to ache constantly ugh.
Frank Thanks for your message yesterday and you made me reolise how I have neglected you all ( and other things as well ) over the last few weeks. My problems are slight in comparison to everyone else and I lose track of that sometimes but now I am back!!!
I have not read all the posts as , like Maureen, it will take forever but will pick up again from now.
I do not know what this country is coming too but hope some good comes out of what has happened over the last few days.
We are decorating the sitting room at the moment which involves hubby working away and me hiding, usually in the kitchen, until the air clears!! Should be good when its done as I am going to replace the curtains and lamps and generally drag it into the 21st centuary ( I hope )
Mandy Read your message about Wells next the sea and can picture the little train and the caravan park.Wish we were there in the sunshine as it is in very short supply here at the moment
Better think about preparing dinner now as hubby will be starving <3

Hello stranger! Good to have you back.We were getting quite concerned until Frank explained your absence.Did you see we have a new boy.William.I can't think if he joined us before you disappeared or after.
Must think about getting washed and changed now.Our meal is booked for 7 which is a bit early really. But never mind,it will be nice just to have someone else to cook :-D :-D
I think the weather is a bit stuffy, and it's making us all a bit dopey.Chris is having a snooze ,and so is Chester.James is very quiet somewhere so maybe he is having a kip too.
Right I'm off for now.See you all later.

WELCOME BACK MAUREEN.
You have so much to catch up on. Have been thinking about you. Thanks for the book. Will start on that later. Do you need it back. or can I pass it on.???? Yes I am on medication. More than I care to mention, something for this, that, and the other. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D If you shake me I RATTLE.

Our neighbour bought the little one in last night. MILES. He's just 9 weeks old and such a big boy, smiles all the time, and sucking on his hand all the time. I said he's hungry, no was the answer, TIRED He sucks his hand when tired, and what a noise he makes. Such a lovely baby, could take a bite out of him. CHUBBY

Hope you had a good day out again Mel, Gets you away from the tunnel. How long are your guests staying ???
