Morning Mel and everyone,

For Maureen (when you're back on Monday) Harry is a darling <3 That smile just melts your heart. Lovely little bub!!! Have a good weekend.

Jane I loved the moon pics and Ann's photos too. Ann a bit more energy today and some time spent on the treadmill to keep the muscles working. I have my down moments, more lately, but who doesn't. We all get the blues for whatever reason sometimes.

Dentist talk - I did have an appointment next week, but had to cancel as it clashes with the doctor. I would hate to think about what he will do to my teeth; the Sjogren's has just about put paid to my teeth, bad receding gums. At least two teeth out and more lifting from the gums. Have always taken great care of my teeth all my life. I have to use Biot*ne toothpaste and mouthwash for dry mouth. Glad all was well with you Mandy.

Half sunny, half overcast here. Just pottered in the garden, folded some washing (exciting). Went through some photos of Joel for his 21st. Had lemon battered fish for tea with lots of veg. Probably a trip out tomorrow if I can get to bed early and in the shower tomorrow. Up to see the computer man at Toukley. Dear Doug is nearly 87 and is the most with-it technically up-to-date person I know - has been fixing our pooters for over 8 years. Hope the weather holds - how are your nights still warm???

Glenda left for her trip to the US. We did go in last night, but she wasn't at home. Keith saw her this morning, she was very teary and glad she hadn't seen me as I would have made her cry. I remind her of Rod and all his funny stories about our family, bless her. The BMW didn't sell. It is 1999 model and the guy was so fussy. A 12 year old car kept in mint condition - I don't know what more he could have wanted :-( I'm glad he didn't buy it, someone else will come along who will appreciate class when they see it.

Anne I hope you have less pain today, which is worse in winter or summer?

Frank have you decided not to go to Conrad's? I haven't caught up on all the posts. When is Ros due at the hospital again?

Pat how are things going with the bathroom? Have they decided how to fix things yet?

Hi to Shirl, Sheila, Liz and everyone else. Have a good Saturday!!!

8.15 pm EST

Morning All,

William, I don't think you would have been popping in regularly where I was based in the DSS office!! It was in the building where the old mill used to be next to the park then. Was the best location I ever worked in, being upstairs on a level with the squirrels in the trees. I was a National Insurance inspector on detached duty there for a year and was mostly out and about visiting premises. There was a right character hanging around most mornings before the office opened, one morning it was a polite 'good morning', the next a torrent of unprintable stuff!! He was usually drinking and had caused damage to staff cars so you never knew whether your car was safe in the carpark!!

OH has told me his dad actually worked in the nearby Hinckley cinemas, not Nuneaton as I had thought. He said his dad worked at the Regent cinema which became the Gaumont and also at the Danilow (sp) where he met MIL who was the usherette who used to flash her torch at him!! The minx!! lol I will ask him about those other shops in Nuneaton, I'm sure he will remember them.

Jane that was a smashing picture of the moon! I don't seem to get the light setting right when I have tried in the past.

Mel, I think car park charge amounts are ridiculous these days. I notice that the car park nearest to where I worked in the city would now cost me £12 a day!!! They are trying to drive motorists onto public transport and just this week have made another 30 city streets 20mph. It won't work though, people will just shop elsewhere.....like me. The park and ride down the road from me is costing a fortune to subsidise since it opened, but they close it in the evenings when it might have got more use.

OH has gone to Guiseley today to a match so we were up early. He brought me a cuppa in bed and said it was 'get up o'clock'!! lol Now I have a day to myself I can't make my mind up what to do. Sun's out so I think I may go out for a while.....beats going through the bedroom drawers and cleaning!

Annx Report 13 Aug 2011 11:40

Kim that old chap Doug sounds fantastic, keeping up with IT stuff like that......puts me to shame. I just looked up Sjogren's as I didn't know what it was....must be horrid having a dry mouth, as if you don't have enough to put up with as it is!

Mel, that was interesting about the church. We often look at the churches by the sea when we are away. It makes you realise how many poor souls have lost their lives at sea, particularly in the past. I have never been to Bude before, it sounds like a nice beach. You have done a lot of tramping about these past few days........I would need a gentle day now, to recover a bit.

Mandy, its nice when you find a gentle dentist. Ours all move on within 2 years so we get a lot of change. I absolutely HATE those deep cleans!!! Mine are too sensitive now and they don't seem to use the anaesthetic gel on the NHS so I think that is why they don't do it.

Lis, Just bite your tounge, on the day you move call in and say "GLAD TO SEE THE BACK OF YOU" you have been nothing but a pain in the asr#

Mel, When your visitors go home, you won't know what to do with yourself. Has Mr Mel, been going out with you, or is he still building???

Since my stroke, my teeth have been falling out like "NINE STONES" I only have six left. and glad to say they are very firm, even though the gume are receeding. The match with my plates is unbelievable, they look just as though they are all mine :-D :-D :-D

Thanks for all the photo's Kim your house seems very large, also the garden

I see the moon, the the sees me.!!!! All photo's look different to the eyes view, when you see something, you say to yourself "I must take a photo of that" and more often than not, you are dissapointed.

Ros has gone back to bed, feeling very tired and sick. She got the stronger patches yesterday, I don't know if they are affecting her. She goes back for the results of the MRI on Thursday. I know she is worrying about what it might show up. :-S :-S :-S. If there is nothing deffinate showing, I am going to DEMAND another opinion.

Tomorrow fortnight we have a wedding to go to. Our step- grand daughters.
I hope Ros is going to feel well enough to want to go. As she is at the moment, there is little chance of that.

All this worry has given me the trotts. up six times in the night, and four times this morning. I think I am ready for bed as well. !!!!

Have a good afternoon all, very overcast here and no sun.

Jane

Jane Report 13 Aug 2011 14:06

Liz you will have blow a big Raspberry at those horrible neighbours as you move out !!!.Horrible people :-P :-P :-P

Ann it was just luck I found the setting for night shots on the camera.Usually like Mel I wold have just got a little dot in the sky.

Kim,is the Sjorgens to do with the Raynauds Disease?Do you get dry eyes too?I hope Glenda has a wonderful holiday in the States.I'm sure it will do her good.As for the car ,I bet she is quite pleased she still has it(for now).

I just spotted two young Pigeons in the branches by the patio doors.I did think there was a nest in there. Now I know for sure there is.Got a couple of pics. They look fairly big but are obviously youngsters. One wasn't fazed at all as I got closer to it.
It is very muggy still here.I went to Tes** and came back feeling I need another shower. That can wait till tonight now. There is a terrible stink in the air down at Tes**.It is coming from the fields across the way.

No Frank yet today? I'm wondering how Ros is and if they got the stronger patches.
I bought 2 books and have squirreled them away ready for my hols.I know if I leave them about I will have read them before we go.
Just had a second enquiry about the car from Gumtree. We don't know how to remove the ad :-S :-S .

Jane

Jane Report 13 Aug 2011 14:06

Oh There he is :-D :-D :-D
Frank you are entitiled to a second opinion. It is all very strange with poor Ros.I do hope she is well enough for the Wedding. You have your posh suit to wear don't you.
I think you had better 'TROT' off and stay near your white friend.I always think it is weird how emotions, worries etc can upset the bowels. The body is a very strange and complicated thing isn't it. :-S :-S
You know if you need a chat 'anytime' I have a good set of lugs.(LUGS.....not Jugs) ;-) ;-)

Afternoon everyone,

Rainy old morning , but now lovely and sunny .

Mel, you have been out and about this week , must have been a nice change for you , as you're always busy in your garden, how long are your family staying for ?

Jane, on your moon photo's you can just see the cloud passing over the moon , the other night the moon looked quite yellowy , but i didn't have the camera batteries charged up, they are now charge.

Kim, fancy that chap doing computer repairs at the grand old age of 87 !!! is that a world record !! lol

Liz, what a nasty man your neighbor sounds ,talking about you like that in the shop in front of people !!! and making things up about the new buyer , you;ll be glad to see the back of him.

Ann, Doug gives you that look and shakes his head, lol. "Don't you know anything", like a university professor. He's a very clued up man. Have the whole range of symptoms, not just the mouth. I think it is that aspect which gives me the most discomfort. Teeth need a good clean, but it hurts so much, never used to bother me. I hope he gives me some happy gas when the time comes ;-) ;-) Liz my gums don't bleed, I suppose that is something good. Will check to see if Corsodyl is available over here or something similar.

What a horror your neighbour is???? I have read bits and pieces at times, but didn't realise how bad he was. I pity the poor fellow moving into your place!!! It will be all over soon and what a fool he will look. Can't even get his story right, lol. Hope you will be so very happy at your new place.

Morning Jane, don't work too hard!!!

Frank I wish that was my house - just a nice email I thought I would send through "Home security in South Africa" it was titled. Would be good though, but not within my price range :-) Frank I agree, you and Ros can't go on like this for much longer. You might have to seek out further help if the MRI is clear. Keep your chin up, I am thinking of you both. Be good to think you might get to that wedding, even for a short while.

Off for a bit of tv and then bed.

Good night all. 11.55 pm

Afternoon everyone.
Thanks to Jane & Maureen for your photo's , Good photo's of the moon,
Maureen , Harry is a darling.

Just finished a pile of Ironing, OH T shirts , they have been lying in the spare room for over 2 weeks, kept moving them around.

Oh is now fixing the boards & tiles in the bathroom after the gas men had to run pipes from the boiler to the shower, he has just noticed one of the gas men has slightly damaged one of my bathroom cupboards probably by sticking a screwdriver inbetween the sides of the cupboard to get the pipe in, Honestly, it's not a big job but spoils the wood, and gives OH another job to tidy up. so annoying. :-( :-(

MEgirl Report 13 Aug 2011 15:13

Jane and Mandy did not see your posts, sorry.

Jane I have internal and external symptoms, so my insides are very dry too have trouble swallowing. Not sure if it is tied in with the Reynauds as I had that as a child, but certainly coming from my mum's side :-( Also my muscles have wasted and I've dropped about 8 kg in the last 3 years. I hate that part of it, can't wear the clothes in my wardrobe.

Yes, Glenda and the family were very pleased the car is still here. But someone has to buy it and keep it in running order, no good a beautiful vehicle sitting in a garage going to waste, Rod would not want that. I'd like it for myself if I was still driving.

Mandy it could be a record. Doug's managed big companies all his life and would go crazy it he wasn't still tinkering with computers and software. A real no nonsense man. He also volunteers for drug companies to test new drugs on him and they pay him a packet. Hope he never reacts to anything!!!! He does a fantastic job with our computers and can answer any queries Keith might put to him.

Now I'm off to the couch for tv. Night all 12.12. pm EST

Phew!!! its hot out there now , just hoovered the car out ,then hubby decided we should have it washed !! so that's now been done ,£6 for a wash ,while that was being done hubby and i went and sat in the towns park ,it was lovely waching the little ones on the swings and rides ,we also watch the boys on their skate boards , boy can they move !!!!

We just need to get showered later ready for our meal out tonight , my tummy's rumbling already , think i might just have a banana , we won't be eating until eight ,so that's a while off.

See you all tomorrow .

Kim, that is quite a house!! They could have done with a few of those in London recently.

Jane, what well fed Pigeons with big tummies!!They are very partial to brussel sprout plants in the winter if you have any!! lol :-S :-S

Liz, how awful for your neighbour to do that!! Not content that you are moving is he. Still he's making a right fool of himself with people getting his facts all wrong, so I think they will take what he says with a pinch of salt!!

I'm off to the chippie now for a treat OH won't know about!! Our favourite one retired last week so I will be testing the new one out........that's my excuse!

Annx

Annx Report 13 Aug 2011 16:55
