Evening all,

Another busy day i've only just sat down !!!

DIL came with the little ones and Chelsea wanted to stay here ,so we been making buns !! we covered then in icing and she wanted to put sprinkles on them , but she also saw the silver balls in the cupboard ,so they had to go on too !!!

What a nuisance about the cooker Jane, you'll have to use your slow cooker a bit more !!
Your kitchen will be hot with all the heat from that plate going on and off .

Mel, your poor back, i think resting is the only way to get it better , hard for you as your always on the go .

Frank, you'll have to use a water pistol on those cats , that might stop them .
Glad Ros is eating a little some thing now , sitting out in the sun and getting a little air will do her good .

Son got me to get all his Beano comics and little comic books out of the cupboard , he thought he might sell them on e b*y ,so got the big pile out ,then he decided he'd look and see what they are sellling for first .....so back in the cupboard they went !!!!! just when i thought i'd get a space in the cupboard ,back they !!!!!

Hello everyone I have just read my threads that kept flitting from place to place and it was hard reading .I hammered on the table computor stay still and bless it did. Otherwise it would have gone out the window.

Well all is calm here at the moment the othe man who was burnt is not expected to live over the week end .Theres been some flowers attached to the letter lamp post from the family of the gent who was killed and it seems like they may have been distilling there own liquer . It is all very strange and still the police have suspects.

My little April was very naughty poor pussy cat being tied to the swing and scared by two little innocent dogs who were most anxious to have a cat supper. I phoned April today and she said Gran your in my bad books so there. I said Oh well poor Gran will have to try and do better next time if you
do not upset the cat .April said you made my head ached and my eyes cried all night and the next day and the next day suddenly I heard Ryan shout you little liar April you did not cry at all. Suddenly the phone was plonked on the table and I heard her going off. Later picked up by Jessica
who said Madam went out to kill Ryan marching along with her hands on her hips .I said to her do not kill him before you get your pocket money.
Then I heard Ryan shout boo hoo I am shaking all over April. I said to Jessica the best of luck for later. Ryan is so funny with April I often giggle.
He said the other day I am going to get a good behaviour box for her .

Gosh Jane that dinner sounded brill you went to such a lovely selection of weird things would have loved that.
Sophia brought me up some Lamb soup yesterday for my tea but I think she must have forgot to put the lamb in it. it was more like washing up water. I am afraid it went down the sink and today she came in really early to see me and decided to wash my pans I had left and there was my soup all stuck in the plug hole. bits of lamb and onion. Not a lot but just enough for her to know I did not eat it. Up went her arms Oh my soupie of the lamb goes down plig hole Sheila . Michelle choked and said mum Sophia said you soupies goner down the plig hole. Les was standing close by he said whoes gone down the plig hole Sopie she is too big. I had to go outside to stop myself bursting a gasket.

Dinner was nice fish and chips.

Santandair bank was struggling to put another cash thingy in the hole today where the other one was removed and Mrs Hubert up the road said she was in town on the riot day and she fell over some hangers from the
clothes out of the sports shop that was nicked. her ankle was all bound up. She is about eighty that lady.Three men died also it was sad run over by someone trying to rob them .

Glad Maureen was ok.
Best to stop away from the shop if you can under those circumstances.

I remember we had tea everynight dead on five oclock when I was little my dad came from the office and there it was .I used to get a rollocking if I was late. I loved the orange Jelly wibble wobbling on the plate it was always my job to break it up and I am afraid a lot got eaten before it arrived in the dish. War years were hard but somehow my mother managed well bless her. I remember once getting her clothes coupon book out and playing post offices with it and cut out all her coupons she never spoke to me for a week. I was sent to my auntie Gerts in Wolverhampton and then it was wees in the bucket all week at night which I hated because everyone could hear me tinkling. I used to run and hide when it was time to be taken down stairs I could see myself slopping it all over the best room. my couson Al and his girl Rita used to cuddle in that room and I used to spy through the key hole I was a sweet sole really.

Well had better go and brave half hour in the shop while ho gets a shave.
He went to a Raf meeting last night for ex Cyprus buddies there was him and another man he was cross. I said maybe they have all died.

Kim sorry you are still not good have beeen thinking of you. I see you enjoyed your shop in Sydney yonks ago how is the family .I showed my brother your brothers photoes.

Pat your be great soon when everything is ship shape.
Anne I get bad pains in my hands and they feel funny like the lifes gone out of them some days.

We sat and looked at some old radio mags anyone remember Dagwood
and Kenneth Horn and Whats my Line and Womens hour and the Clitheroe kid. Jimmy Hanley there were lots will have to dig them all out we had a lovely afternoon browsing the oldies. Gilbert Harding looked just like my uncle Jack. We being me and my brother.

Beryl and Don are in Western Super Mare. its been so peaceful but miss them somehow. I wonder if they have killed each other ?????

Evening Everyone,

Well, who has the poshest cakes (better not put the word you used Mandy!) in town then! I bet Chelsea loved arranging all the decoration on them......are any left? :-)

Frank I hope the new stronger patches work for Ros, it looks promising. I bet she enjoyed being out in the fresh air for a bit doing a bit of snipping in the borders. I used to put small twigs of Holly in the heather bed I had at my old house to deter the cats. Let them try squatting on that!!!! :-D :-D There used to be 4-5 coils on the heather each week to clean up, some with maggots in. Yuk! It did put them off though. I know I grew carrots in trenches of sand one year to get nice straight carrots.......fatal.....the cats loved it and dug the carrots up as well scratching around. OH thinks the best way is to get a cat of your own.......but you already have!!

Hope you have cheered up a bit Fiona. I know from my own experience it isn't much fun feeling unwell and having a hubby who travels and is away quite a bit. It was nice of him to do you a meal ready for tonight.

They were taken home in a cake tin , but the one i tried was quite dry !!! so my few went in the bin !!! but theirs went the same way , i think i got the mix wrong , but Chelsea was happy making them .

Oh Sheila, poor Western Super Mare ,it won't know whats hit it with Beryl and Donnie in town !!!!lol you'll hear all about it when they get back, lets hope they've behaved themselves lol

David, at least it is good to know it is nothing nasty. My tooth is still playing up a bit, especially at night. I just wish I knew which tooth it was!!Jane I hope the guard fits well when you get it and that you can sleep with it in ok.

Sheila, what a shame the other man is in such a bad way too. I wonder if they were using the gas to do the distilling. You brought back a vivid memory for me with the buckets. lol My gran had no inside loo and no lights other than candles upstairs, so when I went to stay, it was chamber pots under the bed. They were adult size, so with my little botty (it was once you know!!!!!!) I had to 'hover' over it in the dark and hope I was in the right place and that my nightie wasn't dangling. I remember I hated making any noise too and would take ages so it would be quiet!! lol I'd forgotten that.

Kim, I love the names of the places you mention. What a nice surprise that was that you have passed on to the 'girls'. I bet they will be thrilled too.

The place we are going to meet the lady at is only about 3-4 miles from me, it has horse livery, a pet hotel and fishing lakes too. It is up a lane I have never been up before so today OH said he would take me there to see where I will be going as it was on the way to where we were going. Well, talk about narrow and potholey, OH was lurching me all over the place!! Then we met a combine harvester jiggling backwards and forwards to get through a gate. The next bend we met the tractor and grain truck that was obviously following it. I had to shut my eyes once as I thought we'd be in the ditch. We found the place and I told OH if he kept going the lane came out on another road. Well the lane deteriorated fast to grit and mud with a high hump in the middle so we had to reverse back until we could turn around and go back. OH said good luck bringing your car up here!! lol My friend offered me a lift, but I had such a game climbing in and out of her high vehicle I thought I'd meet her there. I will see if I can sort out a few of the pics to send you Kim.

I have to take my car in tomorrow for a puncture to be sorted out......OH was red in the face today by the time he pumped it up. Last time I had a puncture I had to have a new tyre, so I hope it won't be that this time.

I just popped out to put something in the bin and jumped out my skin.......a little hedgehog was legging it like mad across the drive. I followed him and he went up the path into the back garden. We were only saying the other day that we don't seem to get any in the garden since those poor things drowned in the pond.

This morning after his potter down the garden to look over the field at the back OH reported seeing a BLACK bunny!! I wonder if it is an escaped pet that has joined the wild ones or maybe the offspring of an escaped bunny. OH said the others didn't seem to mind him at all.

Morning All,

Glad to hear from Sheila so we know she is alright. I do worry with her bring in a place that has so much trouble anyway and what with all this rioting thats going on, or has been..............

David your mind must be at rest now after your visit to the dentists. Perhaps now it will go away on it's own as this sometimes happens.

Jane has your cooker got buttons that push in and out like mine? I have one that shows it is on when it's not and it is the duel one that has a small ring and a large one. When the man came last time he put a knife down the side and twisted it and got it back in the right place. Now when it's off it is showing 1 again now!! I always have to to it on the big plate and then turn it till it clicks so I know it is off.

Cooked toad in the hole yesterday and we had the first peas out the tunnel. They were so sweet and lovely. I picked about 13 oz and there was just enough for both of us when they were shelled. They could have got a little bigger really but I could'nt wait :-D

Well I suppose I shall have to go shopping today as OH is out of beer once again :-(

We had a phone call yesterday to say the tin roofing hsould be here tomorrow so OH is pleased about that as he has had the roof off for a few days now and it keep raining.

No William for a few days??? Hope he has'nt left us............

Love and wishes to all those who are a bit under the weather and wish you all better soon.

Morning All,

Didn't have a very good night, tooth was aching until about 1.30am and then started again at 5.30am! I have rung the dentist now and will have to go there at 8.30am tomorrow to see if I can get an emergency appointment for after 2.00pm. I remember my old dentist years ago would stay late to see you if you were in pain. How things have changed. More painkillers till then!! :-S :-S Hope your appointment and fitting go well Jane.

I got the car sorted. No puncture, it was leaking where the tyre joins the rim.....the chap showed me. I could see the £ signs in front of my eyes when he said that, alloy wheels are not cheap. Turns out they get corroded and sometimes the weights they attach cause it so it was easily fixed. They did the tracking too and adjusted that.

How is your back today Mel? Mine is a lot better now, but it sets it back if I spend too long in the garden. I think OH must time me......tells me when I aught to stop!! lol

Pat, you are nearly there now!! :-D :-D Soon you can get straight again.

Maureen, the good thing about sitting in the garden on your own is being able to watch nature and read in peace!!

Jane

Jane Report 16 Aug 2011 14:50

Ann my sister always swears by oil of cloves for a tooth.I hope your tooth doesn't get any worse before you get an appointment.Good job you got your car sorted without any big expense .

Pat it would have been funny if you were in Weston SM at the same time as Beryl and Donnie.I think you would have spotted them a mile off lol.
Sheila ,poor Sophia won't be bringing you anymore of her delicious soup after seeing it down the 'plig' hole lolol

Mel the knobs on the cooker are large round ones from 0-8.They just push in a tiny way before I can turn them.It is the Halogen one that is iffy.I will be glad when it is sorted.I keep needing to remind myself to turn off the main switch each time I have finished cooking.

I don't like this bite guard. Not sure if i will be able to put up with it at night. But will give it a good try.

I have to meet Hannah's ex this evening as he needs to sign something.I haven't seen him in over 3 years!.It will be a little awkward I think, more for him than me.I will just smile sweetly and say sign here lol

Rachel (Dubai ) just rang and Ethan seems much happier and the projectile vomiting seems to have stopped.Just normal baby sick now she thinks. It is a big relief all round.
It's breezy here and quite dark.Had a few spit spots earlier but it didn't come to anything.
Cup of tea now I think.I'm parched.

That's exactly how I do my jacket potatoes Jane, rub olive oil all over them then sea salt and wrap them in foil and leave them to bake.

You have some good friends Sheila, kind hearted even if they do get it wrong ....lol. I'm such a fussy eater, wouldn't eat soup even if Gordon Ramsey had made it, it smells like B.O. to me ........ My mum's cooking didn't help, she would boil cabbage till it was a watery mess but her baking was fantastic, apple pies and fruit cake, if I could have got away with it as a child I would have by -passed dinner and just had pudding.

All this talk of selling on e.bay has got me thinking. I've got a banjo in the loft, must be at least 50 years old that belonged to my uncle, he also had some very smart looking cameras, German, think I'll go and have a rummage around up there. How did your clocks sell in the end Frank?

That guard sounds like it will take some getting used to Jane, must have missed the posts about it, is it just a temporary thing to get your jaw right? When are you off on holiday?

Anyone else going away? I'm still waiting for summer ....lol
