Fiona, glad you know what they are going to do now........and good the tests will soon be done too......nothing worse than a lot of waiting.
Glad you are not being BOILED or FROZEN Shirl!! Who is having the yard sale.....you or is your monster looking for bits for HER sale?? lol
Well, I'm off to bed now, been enjoying the TOWN series.....it is Totnes this week.

I did'nt try lifting the dumpy of plums, OH did it for me and brought it in the kitchen.
My grandad used to put grease bands round the apple trees when I was small. Great pieces of greaseproof paper smeared librally (sp) with grease and tied on the trunk with string.

I remember that Mel, was it a tar wash ??? Dad always did it to the fruit trees. It keept the ants away, like sticky fly traps.
Madam had a good night last night. Slept till 7.00am then had a wee and went back till 9.30am. She looks a bit better this morning, now the worry is off her mind. Still got the pain though. Patches might need stronger dose.
What a great day. Sun quite warm but everywhere wet from all the rain yesterday. We had our little hedgehogs visiting again last night. Their little calling cards across the patio and down the lawn. It must be the shock of going down the steps, that sets them off
Just had a call from Jan. She wants us to go up this afternoon and stay till Monday. I will leave it to Ros to decide. If we go I will take pooter with me so I can keep in touch. Wouldn't want you lot getting into mischief, without me knowing :-D :-D :-D :-D
Will have to get neighbour to look after the cat. He has taken to sleeping in the porch on the door mat. just ignores his blankets now.
Catch you all later.

Hello everyone,
Trying to play catch-up and not succeeding.
Horrid day to travel to Sydney. Very cold again and tonight severe weather warning. The winds have been gale force with the outdoor setting blown into the pool. Had to batten down all hatches!!!
No more chocolate or coffee for me - doctor's orders, so herbal tea and nuts from now on. NO FRANK ;-) Had my last mocha and a leek and cheese pie for lunch at my favourite little cafe. Also visited a little shop and bought two platters made of recycled glass from Spain. Not good taking me out, I just want to spend and spend. Only $9 each, so not too bad!
We used to have wombats visit during the night when I lived in Warburton. They used to scratch huge holes in the grass and leave massive green piles under my clothesline. Joel was just a little boy and used to really turn it on when I was taking him to pre-school. My mother said if he didn't behave, she would tie him to the line and the wombats would come and get him. He told his teacher and then I had a call from the authorities about child cruelty :-S She had to be so careful after that, lol.
Jane great photos of you and Hannah, you obviously have a lot of fun together. Good that your cooker is repaired and safe to use.
Fiona good that tests are being done and you have confidence in your specialist. All the best for the 25th.
Hi to Pat - are you away for 4 weeks or 4 days - I can't remember?? :-S
Lovely photo Maureen, what a pretty little girl!!! Yes, must be time to change my pic again.
Annx green and pink slips, very confusing. I have not had to bother about them for many years, since I last drove my car. You get the rego. sticker in the mail and have to pay compulsory third party - green slip, then you take the car for a roadworthy check to get the pink slip, if all ok it's off the Road Traffic Authority to pay the registration. Then there is comprehensive insurance, but the car is only worth about $500, so Joel has a policy to cover damage to other cars and people.
Frank do you think Ros will be up to a weekend away? Have a nice time if you go.
Liz I was shocked to read what's happening, so sorry. They need to get their fingers out and get this sorted for all parties. I wish you well and hope everthing settles. Can't understand why the woman would take off to Ireland at this stage!!!
Hi to everyone else. Off for a cuppa and tv, been here too long. Cheers.

Hi to Kim.
Been up the old tunnel and watered everything so thats all sone now. Picked more tomatoes and peas. cut the first butternut squash so it will ripen and give some others a chance. Large pumkin plant has one right on the end a bit bigger than a tennis ball so I think that will grow. Other pumpkin not showing any signs of more fruits yet. I have cut two off of that plant and they are sitting in the tunnel to ripen.
Frak let us know if you are going please?

Kim it sounds like you are having some really nasty weather :-S.I hope it blows over soon. It's been like a summers day here, strappy top but not shorts. There is quite a breeze now and all the washing is nicely dry.Except for a rug of Hannahs that I have washed. It said Hand wash but blow that for a game of soldiers.I put it on a silk wash with no spin so it it full of water.I will get Chris to give it a good wring when he gets in.I just have the strength to grip it with my thumbs. My dinner is all cooked!Just needs reheating.it is a Pasta Bake with Romano Peppers,Aubergine, garlic, chopped Tomatoes and Chorizo (sp) sausage.Torn up Mozzarella which is melted in the mix ,`Basil leaves and sprinkled with parmesan which has browned.James has had his and gave the thumbs up. I think the sausage will be too spicy for me so Chris can have my share of them.Just the smell of them makes my face sweat :-S :-S :-S
My neighbours who are celebrating their Golden Wedding on the 3rd are tarting up the place in preparation for the party. The woodwork around the windows has been repainted,a ton of gravel has been delivered, and I heard a lot of what sounded like hedge trimming. They have borrowed Hannah's Fridge Freezer to put in the garage for extra food.I think they are beginning to get in a bit of a flap about it all and wish they had decided on a holiday instead of a party lol. Pat ,did you make a HUGE sandcastle with a moat????.I do hope you find things OK when you get home, and I hope you kick up a real stink with your Loss adjuster people about the company they sent you. They have been dreadful haven't they.
I am quite liking the thought that my Dinner is done. All I need to do is to make a salad to go with it.Then tomorrow we have been asked to dinner with friends 5 doors down.Great to be able to just totter back at the end of the evening ;-) Many years ago we 'tottered back' and I fell over our old dog on the patio.Ended up with a Black and Blue face for a fortnight. That was a New Years Eve Party. It was when I was working with Victim Support and I had to go to a meeting on Domestic Violence with that face!!!!!.I did explain it was the dog's fault and 'No my hubby hadn't beaten me up'.The Chap who was giving the talk actually knew Chris lol
Well the Table and Chairs haven't gone on Eb**,so I think we will hang on to them for Hannah for a bit as we aren't prepared to 'give it away'.
I managed to keep that horrible bite guard in for about 3 hours last night. So I'm getting there.

Evening All,
What a lovely sunny day today has been. I like it when there is a bit of breeze. Poor you Kim, doesn't sound good where you are. Thanks for explaining about the 'slips' Seems it is a palaver with cars wherever you live. Seems like you can't tease children anymore. I used to tell my brother he was going in the dustbin with the lid on when he was a pest!!
We did a bit in the garden this morning, then went to a garden centre and called in MIL's. She has had her pre op appintment through for a week's time, but no appointment for the op?? Maybe they won't send that till they have made sure she is fit enough for an operation. FIL had taken the front fence panels off and was busy painting them round the back. I don't know where he finds his energy at 90. They did make us laugh though!! They said they were walking in town past the church, where the path winds quite a bit and holding hands. FIL had his sunglasses on and people kept moving aside to let them come by. Suddenly they twigged people were thinking FIL was BLIND because of his dark glasses and the fact MIL was holding his hand!! lol. OH said, 'my word, they would have been amazed then, if they'd seen you jump in your car and drive off!!!!'
They also told us about someone they visited years ago in a hostel. It was old converted army buildings. In the canteen above the counter 2 teaspoons hung on elastic. You pulled them down to stir your tea, then let go and they pinged right back up in the air. I suppose it was to stop them 'walking'.
Sounds like the bite guard will take a while to get used to Jane. Chris hasn't suggested you wear it before bedtime to get used to it yet has he ........I know my OH would!!!! lol (quiet Frank!) I would love your meal......without the sausage though....
Pat, what a lovely day to be on the beach........I think I would enjoy making sandcastles with the children! Is it worth asking for some compensation for all the trouble you have had.
Hope you enjoy your weekend if you decide go Frank. Ros will know best whether she feels up to it as you say.

New pic I see for Ann and Kim.I don't know how to change mine.I will have to 'bargain' with James to help me change mine lol More Lilltputs Mandy!!!.That was a good buy for the last one. Ann,good to see people are aware and thoughtful for the Blind ,even though yout FIL isn't lol.He sounds quite a determined chap with all he does.Good on him at 90!!!!!. As for my bite guard!.Chris ,when he brings my cup of tea in the morning says "is it in or out"looking to make sure he doesn't put my mug of tea on the guard as when I whip it out in the night it just goes on the bedside table. :-D I think my tongue might rub on the edge of the guard as it feels a bit sore. Just going to have a quick look at BB.Still think it is a load of tosh (but just can't help myself ) lol Will say farewell for tonight xx(Were has William gone)?

Morning all,
It was a beautiful day yesterday and oh got the rest of the roof on the garage. Think there might just be one more panel to go on. I had to help hold some of the tin up while oh got up on the roof at the end. These panels are shorter on the back and steeper so they woud'nt stay up on their own. I was so frightened he would fall off as he was only standing on two by three pieces of wood and he is not a light or small man. Once the ladder slipped and I gasped, he told me he would'nt fall off the ladder and then later said "what is a man of 58 doing up here on a roof?" and said he was getting too old for this kind of thing. I must take some more pics as I have'nt done any lately.
Then I went up the border and did some dead heading and released the big climbing rose from up the wall as I could'nt reach it where it was. Managed to tie one bit up but the biggest branch came and hit me and a big thorn went straight in the knuckle on my right hand. You must know how that feels when a rose prickles you and the pain afterwards. Well I can hardly bend that finger today. It is hampering typing. Also have that pain in my left foot underneath like I have jumped down and landed on a large stone and bruised the underneath. Am hobbling around like an old lady :-(
Anyway enough of me, I wonder where our Frank is?
Oh and by the way it is raining today and dull after yesterdays summer day.

Hope you are all well today.Off for a cup of coffee and a little needlework :-PI hate it.But I just need to see if I can put a few stitches in that top I bought the other day just so it doesn't keep slipping too low and being totally indecent. Afternoon All,
I was going out with my camera while OH is at the match, but it's gone dull and cloudy now. :-S
Mel, it sounds like you have been in the wars! Those rose thorns can hurt for a few days after and the climbers seem to have more of them. I see you get the same jobs as I always have......up steps holding sheeting now. I hate the ones where they tell you to hold something straight then swing a great sledge hammer at it, inches from your fingers!!! OH is never keen when I say 'you hold it and I'll swing the hammer'!! lol I bet the garage is beginning to look very different and very smart now. Look forward to seeing the pics when you take them.
Poor old Chester Jane, I know how he feels. :-) I hate doing those kinds of alterations.......I must have a few things that need a tuck here and there. It would help if your bite guard didn't rub......it may be what wakes you so you take it out.
Mandy. I find eating out very addictive!! lol It has got worse since OH retired, but it is so nice to go home and not have to cook. Make the most of it. I looked at that Lilliput cottage, isn't it sweet and such an incredible bargain too!!
I had my free taster session papers come today, so am looking forward to them, except the painting and drawing one.......just don't know what to expect and I know my hand will shake!!!
Think I will pop out now anyway........just wait, it will be bound to rain!!
Meant to say, that is a lovely pic of you Kim. BBL

Mel, i hate to see hubby on a ladder and on a roof ,he doesn't hold on , but its some thing he's done all his working life so he's use to it , i keep telling him it was ok when he was younger ,but he's older now and has two artifical hips !!! but does he listen ....NO
Poor old Chester , i notice Toby has slowed down too when we walk him , he falls asleep as soon as we get in , he also sleeps a lot more during the day too.
Bells are ringing .... must be a wedding .

Oh yes more pics please Mel.Chris is always saying He's getting to old for all this climbing ladders and scaffolds. It does give me the willies when I see him balanced on top.He doesn't have a good record with ladders. :-S :-S
I think I said yesterday we have 4 pears.Well since then the wasps have got to them and we just rescued 1.How dare they. These are the first we have ever had I think.
It feels quite muggy now and it has clouded over.Fan back on lol For lunch I am going to do Asparagus that has just gone out of date and is getting a bit floppy.I'll wrap parma ham around and a little olive oil and black pepper and pop in the oven .A nice bit of Mediterranean bread to go with it. We never had anything like that when I was young.I don't think I had asparagus until I was in my 30's.It is one of those things I never liked ,but now love, like Olives.
Where is everyone today?????I reckon Frank and Ros must have gone to Conrads.
