Afternoon all,

We arrived at Conrad'sabout 4pm yesterday. Sat and talked in the garden for the rest of the lovely day. Had dinner about 7pm.

Ros, Apart from her pain is a lot brighter. She has eaten a bit of dinner and breakfast this morning. Now gone to P'Borough with Jan. Wheelchair in tow. In case she needs it. !!!!

I see you have all been busy, with one thing or another.

I was up and sitting in the garden by 7.30 this morning, watching all the finches, tits, song thrushes and blackbirds. all busy doing their thing around the bushes, borders and on the lawn. Songthrush sunbathed for ages, turning around as he got to hot. It's noe clouded over and looks like rain.

Thet will be calling you "JAWS" soon Jane :-D :-D :-D :-D

Oh good Frank and Ros are ok :-D

Been holding wood up for oh today and I did'nt gert up till 10am!! :-D

Foot heel still very sore but knuckle has eased a bit. I did take a few pics today of the garage and went up the potting shed to see if I could find the old weathervane to see if it would fit the garage. It needs a good paint and moveing up a bit to make it fit above the eaves. Don't know whether it is worth it?

Done a nit of hoovering and really should do some ironing as oh has'nt an ironed shirt for ringing tomorrow.

Yesterday evening I decided to cook a curry for dinner. Did that and then decided it would take too long for the meat to get tender so I did a chilli with garlic bread and bunged the curry in the oven so we will have that tonight so I have a night off cooking.

ho hum off I go to get the iron out.................. :-D :-D

Evening all,

Girls still out. So hope Ros is OK. I know Jan will look after her.

Conrad and I have been on our computers all afternoon, I have been selling on Ebay Various Motoring bits (brochures keyrings etc) Someone out there will want them. I HOPE :-) :-) : I think Conrad is catching up on what he couldn't do while his computer was down. The BT engineer was here yesterday when we arrived. He said it was the stealing of cable again. Twice in three weeks in the same place. It's by the Christmas Tree farm. Out in the sticks. so I suppose they wern't disturbed. CCTV comes to mind. It might be worth it if it's going to be regular.

Not going out for lunch tomorrow, as Conrad wants to cook. So I will treat them to an Indian tonight.

What a palavour the girls have had, they have just walked in. They went to a multi storey carpark , and had to park on floor 7. They got the wheelchair out and set up, only to find that floor didn't have a lift. Jan pushed her up to the next floor only to find the the lift only serviced floors 1/3/5/ and 9 So they were stuck on 8. A young man. helped them out and got them to a floor where the lift stopped. They wondered why there were so many parking spaces available !!!! Anyway they had a good afternoon out.

Mel what did you do to yourself?I must have missed that post.Curry sounds good.I only like very mild please :-D.I don't know what out friend is doing for the meal tonight. It is us ,another couple from along the road and the hosts.I think it will be a fairly simple meal ,nothing weird!(I hope).

Shirl ,I think we just prune back our climbing rose.I don't know much about these things. You could google and see what it says.
I'm just having a 'small' glass of wine now as I put a little bit of slap on.Just a bit of eyeshadow and Mascara.I have never used any face makeup.I don't know why really. My sister when she was young had makeup that thick you could literally scrape it off :-S,and she never blended it in either so there was always a line about chin level lol.
Enjoy the rest of your stay at Rutland Frank. It is so good to hear that Ros is eating more and feels a bit better in herself. The fact she went to Peterborough says something.
Must get changed now.Maybe back later, maybe not.

Jane Report 20 Aug 2011 18:51

Oops there you are Frank.Enjoy the Indian tonight.I hope Ros has some.I can just picture poor Jan pushing the wheel chair around that car park looking for a lift. How nice that someone helped them.I think I know that carpark.
Tatty Bye for now.

Shirl you prune climbers but don't prune shrub roses. I just dead head really cuting to an outward facing bud.

Had our curry and it was nice. I put a little cream in it as I had used the hot curry powder. When I opened the pomps which were supposed to be 10 there were 12 :-D

Talking of sledge hammers.
Many years ago I was helping Dad put up some fencing.
We were putting 4x4"x4foot poles into the ground for the fence to be fastened to.Dad was holding the posts steady while I swung a 14 pound hammer.
I'd an accident to put it mildly.
I missed the top of the fence post on one swing.
I hit the 4x4 with the shaft and my R hand gripped around it.
My fore finger burst like a sausage! Blood every where.
Ralph who was watching went white, think Dad did too.
A towel was put around the hand and I was taken to the Doctors.
He took one look and sent me to the hand clinic at N/cle General.
Surgery within an hour.Thought they were going to amputate it.
The bone was crushed and the length of the finger wide open.
They saved it and there's a scar and distorted joint to serve as a memory. :

Hope you have a good time at the zoo tomorrow Mandy. I love to see the baby animals, bet you will have a lovely time.

Shirl, I wonder where she gets her canniness from!!!!! lol

OH came home from the match holding his head in despair. He took his friend and FIL today. His friend has problems and needs to use a frame to walk. OH arranged to move the car to the nearest exit after to save the chap walking so far. Well, FIL had other ideas!!! OH moved the car as planned, but FIL had taken the poor chap right up the other end to where they usually walk out so they had to walk all the way back!! Then when they got to the car, FIL was swinging car doors open in the chap's way. OH told him to get in the car in the end (out of the way!!) but he just ignored him!! When my knees were really bad I would open the car door just wide enough for me to use it to balance while I got in. FIL would stride over, grab the door and swing it wide open nearly pulling me off my feet at times. MIL was always telling him to leave it!! I wonder what will happen next time OH takes them!! lol

Hope Fiona is ok, haven't heard from her today.

Sleep tight everyone.....night, night.

Oh no David, just saw your post.....that was a really nasty accident!! It must have been very painful afterwards. I think I will do any 'holding' with a pair of tongs in future.

Morning everyone (afternoon),

Horrid day here, continuation of bad weather, but not as windy. Woke up feeling so ill, lower abdo pain right through to my back. Looking so pale and it's come out of the blue!!!! Feel like I've been slogged by a huge fist. So if my post sounds dippy, that's because it is.

On a different computer, a little faster than my usual one, but same keyboard. Keith took the other for repairs up to Doug (Keith said he looks super fit and well). I started to have withdrawal symptoms with it - had to look for things today, plenty of washing to fold and dishes to wipe, even read the papers. Couldn't settle to watch tv at that time of day. Addicted I am!!!

Ann wonderful photos of all the carriages, they take you back in time. Thanks for sending them. Yes, changed my photo - I'm scaling fish on the balcony at Coogee while my first OH took the photo; didn't want to get his hands smelly :-( Tiny scales, can't remember what sort of fish, but then I find out later you don't need to scale that particular type :-S

Pat enjoy your time in W. Super Mare. I had you away for 4 weeks, you wish :-)

Mandy hope the weather is sunny for your trip to the zoo, enjoy your day. Is Toby more active in the cooler weather?

Need to list a few more bits and pieces on e-Bay. Several items did not sell last time. Getting Keith to make me a tapioca pudding for tea as I don't feel like anything too solid.

Hell to Jane, Fiona, Mel, Shirl, Sheila, Anne, Liz and everyone else when you rise. Have a good day. And of course, Frank and Ros - good that you were able to make the trip.

BBL I hope. 5.31 pm EST
