Have you looked for your great grandparents in the census records or do you want to find more up to date information about them? |

I think a lot of people who delivered babies at that time were just neighbours who "helped out" with the delivery rather than being qualified midwives. I wouldn't have thought they kept records but I could be wrong. |

Does anyone know if the midwives kept records of the births they attended to and if so where can one access these records. The midwife I'm interested in is Amelia Boston and she delivered my grandfather and his twin brother at 403 Longacre Av, Birmingham in 1907. |
