I was watching “You do you think you are? USA” on TV last night and Susan Sarandon was trying to trace her Italian ancestors. She went onto a website and typed her ancestors surname in to find what area of Italy they possible could came from and it came up they originated from the area of Tuscany. Does anyone know what this site is called as I would like to know where my Germany ancestors possible originate from? |

Thanks Chris - just had a quick look at Cyndi's List for Germany and it looks quite promising. Even if I don’t find what I am looking for it should be helpful. |

World Profiler is an excellent site, but unfortunately it won't tell you where a name came from. It will, however, tell you where the names can be found now. |

Hi everyone, I would just like to thank everyone for their comments and feedback. Still trying to find where in Germany the Fix's come from but I have found some useful information on the way too from some of the websites you have all suggested. Many thanks again - much appreciated. |
