You learn something new every Day! Only found out today, in this Month’s Family Tree Magazine that you can order special commemorative marriage certificates for special wedding anniversaries?????, Golden, Silver, Ruby etc. directly from the GRO website.

They don’t make that known

It’s a great idea

I did know they did them but although they make a nice gift I think the price of £35 is a bit steep for what is essentially just a certificate with a bit of colour in a presentation box.

When I've bought things like tankards, crystal etc. the presentation boxes are around £5. With this you are paying around £20 just for the box.

I looked at this idea some years ago when relatives celebrated a Diamond Anniversary. I thought it grossly over-priced for what it is.
