I have a large family that I know is on it. but every time I put a name in Genes Reunited search engine it allways says no matches. Any sgestions?

Almost none of the helpers on the GR boards use GR for searching records, Michael, so I can't really advise about GR in particular.

Perhaps the name isn't spelled the way you expect??
I've tried searching on GR 1901 for a few names at random, and some results have come up every time.

Perhaps your family is one of those who seem to disappear from censuses from time to time.

If you like to give us one or two of the names, perhaps we can find the family on another site, such as Ancestry or FMP..

Or you might try FamilySearch, which is a free site, though you have to register:

To be frank - you'd probably do better using another website for searching for records.

Having said that - which 'bit' of GR are you using to try to search?

And in which country were your relations living when the census was taken?

Are you sure your folk are on the census? They may be on a section that is simply 'missing'.

GR only has censuses for England and Wales.

For Scotland or Ireland you need Ancestry or FMP - ( or Scotlands People or www.census.nationalarchives.ie)
