I have a couple who are married to each other the male is my 1x2 cousin his wife id my 2x1 cousin now according to ancestry their children are my 2 nd cousins but 1 they have her as my 3rd cousin can some one explain please have ancestry got it wrong

Ancestry haven’t actually got it wrong. They use the number of cms to work out the relationship but we don’t inherit an equal amount. So you have a lower cm match against them than the average. It is especially difficult with ‘removed’.

My brother has also had his done the results are quite different. I’m on my iPad but on my computer I have a chart which shows a huge difference in cms against the same relation.
