I wondered if anyone has time to,look and see if Isabella Anyon had any children.
She was born in 1885 in Preston Lancashire and her parents were Robert Anyon and Margaret Alice nee Holderness. Isabella married Henry Chambers know as Harry in 1912 also in Preston. I think Henry (Harry) died in 1963 and Isabella in 1953 although I think she was listed as Isabel. Family called her Bell.
I’ve looked in all the usual places but can’t find any children. Maybe they didn’t have any.
Many thanks. Pat.
P.s.
Maybe the 1921 census or the 1939 register would be helpful. Unfortunately I don’t have access to them.

If there aren’t any recorded births on freebmd there weren’t any natural children

In any case, the 1939 Register does not state relationships

ADDED
No children with them in 1921

I assume "all the usual places" includes FreeBMD, Pat?

As there are no Chambers/Anyon births showing up on a search there, they didn't have any children.

Many thanks to you all for your help.
I knew Henry used to play the piano for the silent films but I didn’t know he was a manager. I think he played the piano elsewhere in Preston first.
As a teenager I went many times as I lived in the area but didn’t know of a connection to Henry. It was first opened in June1921 so I think Henry would have been the first manager. It closed in September 1958 due to falling attendance.
It had a very odd layout. If you wanted to go upstairs you paid at the front desk then went out into the street and down the side to another entrance. It’s now a D.I.Y. Store and has been since the cinema closed.

Nice to have memories like that Pat. I did wonder why he had such a complete change of occupation.

I have found Wills and death certificates can be useful in naming children.

As Isabella died first, it would probably not be so helpful here, but the death certificate for my great uncle's widow, Emma, showed the informant was her daughter, who I'd never heard of.
Investigation revealed that the daughter had been born to Emma several years before she married into our family.

In this instance, there are no illegitimate Anyon births 1895-1912 in England/Wales.
