I would be grateful is someone could look at the 1921 census or the 1939 register for .Ada Anyon of Preston Lancashire. She was born 1893 in Preston but died in Blackpool 1976. She was the daughter of Robert and Margaret Alice nee Holderness.
Ada never married.
Ada went to Canada on the 2/08/1929 but returned home 28/02/1931.
Thank you.
Pat.

Another thread about this family:
https://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards/board/genealogy_chat/thread/1403676

It's better to keep to one thread, to save people possibly duplicating research.
Sometimes we need to search backwards or sideways to find what's required, so it's helpful to have everything in one place.

Thank you for your help.
I didn’t think about putting it on the other thread as it was a different question about a different family member.
Sorry.
Pat.

Many thanks.
Ada was my great aunt and was a very formidable lady. It was interesting to know she worked at the chocolate factory. The factory opened in 1920 so was fairly new when she worked there. It’s still open in the same place and I worked in offices next door ( nothing to do with Beech’s) until I retired. The smell from the factory in summer was almost unbearably sweet and sickly. Ada left the mill and went on to do war work at the R.O.F. in Euxton, Lancashire.

That’s very interesting to know that Ethel was a cinema attendant at the Savoy. Her sister Isabella (Bell) married Henry (Harry) Chambers who was a manager of the Savoy cinema so Harry and Bell must have met through her sister.
Thank you for your time. Appreciated.
