I cross matched her on Ancestry. A Leonard W BEVIS married CAVE and is listed on the same page as Elsie at Romsey |

why dont you check out ancestry's bmd image index for cave and bevis ? Find Elsie Cave Q3 1940 and find her entry - note the reference, then find the corresponding Cave entry note and check the reference to make sure you have the correct one. I would have thought with there names there shouldn't be many options :) HTH ... Paul |

Do you actually need the divorce papers or is it just the first husband's name you need? If you obtain her 2nd marriage certificate, it will say if she was a widow, or if divorced it may say.. 'formerly the wife of........' |

Where would i go to find a record of a divorce would have been between 1946 and 1950 (cos thats when she got married the second time) the person im looking for is Elsie May Bevis i dont know what her husbands first name was. they were married in the 3Q 1940 in romsey ** Elsies maiden name was Cave* |
