RG12/3403/39/10 The address is 54 Syke Street Blackburn. There are several people there as it is a lodging house. There is a Margaret and I think it says Flannighan, age 65, cotton weaver, place of birth nk. When I search for her it doesn't come up so I'm not sure if it is Flannighan. I know there is a Margaret Murphy - that isn't the one I want. Thanks. |

It's been transcribed as Margaret Flinnighan which is what it looks like, to me.... Merry |

Andrea Ancestry have transcribed it as Flinnighan and I must admit that is what it looks like. Georgina. |

Thanks. Hmmm. And do you think that could be a spelling mistake for Flannagan on the Census or am I clutching at straws?!?!? |

I would think it's a mis-spelling, there are no Flinnighan's on freeBMD. Georgina. |

Ooh goody. That's what I thought too. Thanks!! Now all I've got to do is find out if they had a daughter called Sarah and I might have actually finally found a foothold on this Flannaghan family. Woohoo! Thanks! |
