No, once you've transferred things to CD, they can be viewed using any CD player, or PC. Reg |

Thanks chaps.This is probably a daft question. But if I used adobe & then wanted to make copies of the CD's to give to other family members does that mean that they will need to have the adobe software to view the photos? |

I've been lucky enough to come across 2 suitcases full of family photos,original certificates, letters & cards & newspaper cuttings dating back to the 1870's. I want to scan them & save them to disc with the ability to add a caption as most of the photos have comments written on the back. Any ideas as to the best software to use to help me with this???
