Can manage to get most other websites, but cannot get webpage up for Ancestry - could it be something to do with set-up of AOL broadband, firewall etc.?? You can probably tell, I haven't a clue what I am talking about - I only use the 'puter, don't know how it works! Is it something to do with cookies? |

I used it earlier this evening and had no problems. It may have something to do with the firewall and you may have to reset your browser settings. Brian |

For others who may wish to know - I have just found out that AOL (my new provider) is not very compatible with D Link wireless router! Apparently we can access most websites but not secure ones like Ancestry(what a pain!). AOL offer no help or technical advice other than buy another router which suits them at around £100. So, if we cannot re-configure the router tomorrow I'm going to cancel AOL and go back to Tiscali. Don't know if others are aware of this. I'm computer dumbo, but learning as I go, its so frustrating as I can't do my research. |
