James Hull born 1859/60 WINKFIELD, Berks. Could any one help as to where he would be registered.for birth. I have a marriage cert and have the fathers name, David but need to know the mothers name. I've looked on Hugh wallis but nothing for Winkfield . Maggie

I think you would be better off looking at GENUKI and at the GRO indexes rather than Hugh Wallis in this case! Kate.

I have James Hull in the 1881 census but his name is HILL living in the Hamlet of Witton, Twickenham. Just a few doors away from Annie Ashton who he married on 10/07/1881 in Brentford Middx. Then in the 1891 Census but with the name Hull. It's so annoying knowing he must be registered somewhere. I have a possible David Hull b 1840 Bray and David Hall born Windsor . I've gone through all the Census for Winkfield but nothing on HULL. Thanks for all your help and ideas Maggie.

Thanks Suzanne, I've not thought to look for Hutt, only Hill and Hall. I don't know any of his siblings names or his mothers name, all I know is his father was David Hull and he was Agr Lab, according to the marriage cert. I've got a few leads to follow. Thanks again Maggie
