Hi Thanks everyone for your comments. Sorry it's taken so long for me to respond - son home from uni - computer time limited. What is the TNA catalogue, Robin? If your offer still stands Joan could you please look for Joseph LITTLE aged 40 and Stephen BLAIR aged 44 living with their families at Edderside which is in the parish of Holme St Cuthberts. I'd like to know the piece/folio/page numbers if possible. Thanks again Liz |

the TNA catalogue says these townships should be at the end of piece HO107/162, but Ancestry have only got the first 5 books of that piece. Piece HO107/163 (Ireby, Plumbland etc etc) seems to be missing altogether Oh dear A while ago it was said that a chunk of Liverpool was missing in 1891. Anybody know whether that's been fixed yet? |

I dont think they are neccessarily missing but that the district names change a lot. (I stand corrected by Robin - Well done to you sir, ive learn something else) |

Hi, I have been trying to find my relatives living in the Cumberland parishes of Holme St Cuthbert and Holme Cultram parishes and can't find them anywhere. I did find them on the 1841 in the local library but forgot to note down the reference numbers and hoped to find them on Ancestry. Does anyone know if there are to be some parishes added to the Ancestry records in the future or will I have to go back to trawling the fische? Is there some way of reporting the fact that they are missing to Ancestry? Liz |
