Hi Dawnie With Ancestry I find that 'less is more'. Instead of typing Elizabeth Elliot - try Eli* Ell* 'Minster' in the parish and the birth give or take 5 years and you should find them :) Cheers...Paul |

Dawnie - remember they round the ages. I just did a search for all of the people born in that year (rounded) and then looked through to see if they were mistranscribed, but as it happens they weren't! |

Anyone up for a Friday night challenge. Have on the 1851 census following family Jane Elliot 1826 Elizabeth Elliot 1832 Robert 1787 Sarah 1798 all born Sheerness living 76 Bell Alley, Minster, Sheerness Robert is a Cordwainer and Sarah Laundress. Can’t find them on the 1841. Then have George Akhurst A Mariner. Have him on his sons marriage cert in 1855 doesn’t say deceased but can’t find him on 1841 and 1851. On 1861 his wife(Charlotta c 1795) is living with their son James frederick and family. Would be in Sheerness/ Minster area of Kent. Only other clues i have are on Marriage cert witnesses are Thomas and William Ackhurst. Son James was born 1823 in Sheerness. Any help appreciated. |
