I also think that the district is Wallingford.The volume as given is VI, and the page is 2?? (could be 23? but impossible to read accurately). Christina

Ancestry take that index from FreeBMD.....and if you look at the FreeBMD version, it would seem the transcriber couldn't read the details: Births Dec 1841 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hitchcock Edward Albert * 6 * The first * should say the district and the second * should say the page number. What you read was Ancestry's way of expressing the entry! Merry
