Hello people. You're a pretty resourceful bunch and I was wondering if any of you can help ... I've just moved into a new office (well, not that new - the building opened in 1971) and although I have windows on two sides, the only ones that actually open are the very high up ones. Facing South and West, it can get very hot in here when the sun shines and this is only going to get worse as the year continues. I need to get hold of one of those poles with an S-shaped hook on the end - like the ones the teachers used at our school many moons ago. Does anyone know either what these are actually called (so I can look them up on eBay or similar), or where I can get one from? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks - in anticipation! Regards, Ellie |

Antique shops or reclamation yards might have them. Or you try making one with a long pole and large cup hook screwed in one end. Or Espo Heather x |

There called pole hooks, you can get them from most DIY shops and you mount them on a pole yourself normally. Have a look at item num 4634959000 |

Thanks everyone - see, I knew you'd be able to help! Apologies for not putting this request on the general topics board, only I feel that more people look at the tips board than that one! Thanks again. Ellie |
