fatthers name on marriage certificate

hi sue windle is where duke street is but on the marriage certificate it says her father was john taylor, what number did you have them livin at please thankyou v much emma and in 1891 there was a jane living with a mary, then in 1901 she lived with her brother no mother, but its a different number in duke street on the cert it says 62

Hi Emma, were these Jane`s parents , in parish of Windle in St Helens 1881 George Taylor 58 Mary Taylor 33 1891 same parish Mary Taylor widow 46 on bmd death - George Taylor age 55, 1883 Sept Qtr, Prescot vol 8b, p457 Sue

im looking for a jane taylor(married name edwards) from st helens was lancashire, she died in jan 1951 aged 66, address at time of marriage 62 duke street st helens. she married a goulding edwards in nov 1907 thankyou emma

i have found a record on the census same street she lived in but different number house, the person with the same name i am looking for lived with her brothers/sisters and mum in 1891 but in 1901 there was no mum, she married in 1907 and only her husband family were witnesses none of her. This is why i think he may be dead but why is it a different house number help im so confused emma

Emma sorry to add to confusion, but i have one marrige cert which says deceased and another which does not - but in both cases father was dead. so it looks like it was at the whim of the registrar Sue

thanks sam i just cant find any record of her birth on the wedding certificate it says she was 23 at marriage in 1907 and i know she died in 1951 aged 66 ive been to the grave but cant find her birth or her on census emma

I have one where Charlotte Daft married in 1872 father Samuel Screaton FWK. On her 1847 marriage cert Charlottle Screaton father Samuel Screaton FWK Deceased. I think that might answer your question.

He could well be deceased. I have marriage certs that don't specify deceased where I have the death cert so know that he most definately is! Sam x

hi can anyone help, On a marriage certificate if it says the fathers name and his occupation can I take it he was still alive at the time of the wedding or could he be deceased. Please help im so stuck lol and I have the certificate but cant find any record of birth or anything on the census emma x
