If you want to keep the image I find that pressing 'print screen' key and then doing a 'paste' into Word is handy. Trudi ('print screen' will never directly print the screen!) |

Have you got a word processor on your computer? Most now have 'Word' installed on them. I'm presuming you have microsoft windows on your computer. If you go to 'start' (bottom left of screen) and click. See if 'Microsoft Office Word' comes up in the box. Click on it and then it will open a blank document. Press 'Ctrl and V' together and it will paste the document you haver printed from the screen. Print screen in usually on your keyboard near the cursor keys. I hope this helps! Trudi |

Julie, does your computer have a program called 'paint' I think you will be able to paste into there. Do you type letters on your machine? What application do you use for that? Trudi |

You don't need to paste them into a Word document - if you click on the Save button, it brings up another window. Once the image has finished loading on that window, right-click on the image & select Save Picture As... you can then save it on your PC as a GIF or JPG image, in any folder you like and with any name you want to give it. Or you can follow the instructions on Ancestry, which is to press on the Print icon, then another box will appear:- To print this image: (These instructions will not print) 1. Select Page Setup from the File menu on your browser 2. Change the print orientation to landscape 3. Change the margins to .5 for all of left, top, right and bottom 4. Print the page by selecting print from the file menu. Carole |
